Lucy's pov:

I woke up with the sun poking my face, mother probably left the curtains open after a failed attempt to wake me from my slumber. I could hear my grandmother's loud humming and my mother's grumbling. I hurriedly took my bath and performed my skin care which took about ten minutes.

"Breakfast is ready" mum yelled, then followed by series of loud banging of steel pot as they made contact with the terrazzo floor in our kitchen.

I hurriedly prepared all the neccecities for today's school session.

Oh! Pardon my manners, let me introduce myself:

My name is Lucy shalifa, am currently a teacher,I so much love the innocent minds of children. I am 23 years old and currently very single, I used to think that I wasn't made for relationships because none seems to be working out for me. I have a best friend and her name is Bella (bells) and a super adorable kid brother Joseph (Jojo) .

My dad is a very kind and lovable person, the most gentleman on planet earth,and guess what I love him the most besides...

I grabbed my purse and proceeded to the dinning area.

On getting there my grandparents, parents and brother were sitted already,I guess am the last to come down today again.As my low heels clicked noisily on the Mable stairs, all their eyes turned towards me,

"Good morning,all" I greeted with a wide grin

"Morning" everyone muttered still chewing their food . While my dad smiled cheeckily at me, to which I have him a peck, earning a disgusted face from everyone.

"Your late again" grandma Catherine said with an a sigh.

"Grandmother, a lady should take her time to look good" I replied while pulling out a seat to sit down . I cautiously served myself the mouthwatering pancakes mom made.

What's your excuse for waking late, young lady ?" mom whisper yelled as if she was telling a secret but making it loud enough for everyone around the table to hear, causing every one to laugh.

So this is my family, we may not be elites but we are hardworking people.

I teach in a public school not too far from my house, it's about 10 minutes Journey on foot and three minutes on bus but I decided to use the bus which will take about four miniutes to get to the school, but I still have to trek to the buss station two minutes away, on the way the school I saw an old woman in her mid sixties lying on the road with her pet dog running wildling around her signifying that she is in danger. I quickly rushed to the scene, "lift her up" I yelled at the people beside her. They helpfully lifted her and placed her in my arms, and I began to perform CPR, I gently massaged her temple and chest to ease heart beat, luckily her pulse was still prominent so she was just unconscious.

After a while, she began to cough and I ordered that water be brought for the elderly woman. I placed a glass of water in her hands, which she gulped and sighed in relieve, before looking into eyes with that deep brown eyes of hers that screams adoration,love and gratitude.

"Thank you for saving my wife", an elderly voice spoke behind me, to which I turned to see a man on his late sixties, his looks screams simplicity and elegance with a taste of wealth. His watch alone could consume my life savings.

"It's my pleasure" I whispered, unsure of what to say. The woman joyful hugs me with eyes filled with tears of joy

"Thank you, I owe you my life" she said with smiles and tears filled face.

"I am Kate, but you can call me Kay, this is my husband Luke" she said pointing at the old man from earlier while I smiled and replied" I am Lucy, if you don't mind I need to get going " . The old man elegantly handed me a black and gold business card which I hastily threw inside my purse and hopped off to work, today's gonna be great cos I am 40 minutes late already not minding my grumpy head teacher I taught ironically. My head teacher is surely a thorn in the flesh.

Aiden's pov;

I just arrived at my office and was listening my secretary as she reads my engagements for today, when my phone rings signalling a call from my PA, Nikky

"Hello" I answered visibly irritated.

"Good morning young master, sir the grand mistress had an attack", he said panting, then I remembered that earlier this morning my grandparents decided to visit my parents cemetery, which they do once every month. Sadly, My parents passed away after a plane crash en route London, then I was barely five years old, so I and my twin sister was left in the care of my grandparents. The little knowledge of my mother, I know she was a cheerful and free woman. Who loved me so much, I remember how she cuddles me before bedtime and I remember dad's story also. they were indeed wonderful people but death took them away. Thank God my grandparents came through for me. Back to my grand mother's case, she has been having asthmatic attack a lot more lately and that was surely what nikky was referring to when he said she had an attack.

What of her inhaler" I respond while parking up my files to go and ascertain her condition, I heard noises in the background making me park up hastily before an unmistakably voice spoke.

"Son, am good it's just a minor accident and a young lady rescued me, son you will love her, she is beautiful and we'll Mannered, she will make a good wife... she blabs , I sigh in esparetion she is obviously one of those girls who wants to get me through my grandparents. I have seen lots of them who wants to gain my attention through my grandparents but am proudly single with a few fuck buddies here and there.

" Thank God your safe, please return home immediately" I said and cut the call.

I then continued working knowing fully that they are doing well, I wouldn't want to loose my grandparents, I might seem arrogant to everyone but I love my grandparents so damn much.
