Chapter 1 My Night Was All About You

I laid down staring into the quiet night through the window with my mind flooded with yesterday's event.

"Love"...Is this what I'm feeling or a mere crush?" I questioned myself.

"Love at first sight is not really my thing" I thought" So why is this happening to me now?

Confused, and unable to figure out what's really going on with me, I pushed the thoughts aside and turned around to check the time.

I picked up my watch and it was 3:30 am; time to wake up.

I got up and opened my locker quietly without turning on the light in order not to disturb my room mate. I picked up my iron and uniform and descended down stairs to iron my uniform.

The block was quiet and only the sounds of splashing waters in bathrooms could be heard. "I guess I'm not the only one awake" I thought. Boarding house rule one; Always be one step ahead of school time so.....yeah.

Her round and cute face popped up in my head as soon as I turn on the iron as though they were connected.

Her smile, her face, her lips, it all started flooding back but then I shook my head. "Focus Ryl, focus!" I told myself

I got hold of myself and proceeded with my morning routine. After ironing, I took my bath and dressed up for class.

I left the block at exactly an hour after waking up and settled in the science department for morning class instead of my class; something I like doing tho I don't know why.

An hour later, the morning siren rang and students started moving into their respective classes. I moved to the General Art department and climbed up to my class.

Just two class rooms before my class, on the corridor, I froze and my heart skipped a beat.

I tried to move but my legs refused to heed to my command.

It was her. Dressed in her neatly ironed wine and white colored skirt and blouse uniform.

At that moment she also saw me and waved at me. I couldn't respond because my hands ignored me. I just stood there staring, as though i was frozen.

Not getting any response she started moving in my direction and less than three seconds, she was in front of me.

I tried to say something but my lips also betrayed me

"Good morning" she greeted

"Goo...Goo...Good morning" I uttered

"How are you?" she asked

"I'm good, you?" I forced myself to reply

"How was your night?" I asked

"It wasn't bad, you?"

"It was all about you" I thought. Of course I didn't say that out loud.

"Well, it was good" I replied.

"Okay then it's time to go to class, I will see you later, bye" she said in a silky smooth voice.

"Okay by..." she vanished before I could complete my sentence.

I proceeded to my class and settled down.

The class was active as always.

I started to arrange books according to periods under my desk but then I spotted that one person I have been looking for since yesterday walking towards me. Her beautiful smile showcased her white chipmunk teeth, completing her cute and beautiful look.

"Nali or Nila?" I asked jokingly although I knew it was Nali.

"Still not getting the difference? Well, it's Nila" She lied. "Well then bestie Nali, can I get my morning hug and kiss?" I asked mischievously.

"So you are just playing dumb, f¥€k you" she said with a resigned face.

"well, I love you too" I teased. "Can I get my hug now?"

She squeezed the hell out of me with what she called a "hug" and calmed it with a peck on the forehead. It was alright tho, cause she's my favorite person and this is just an everyday thing.

"I heard you were looking for me last night" she asked.

"Yup. But sit down first" I said. "Okay boss" she replied with a smile.

"Well, I wanted to ask you about somebody. A girl though. I asked Nila yesterday and she said the girl is your friend" I started

"Mmm, I smell love in the air" she began to tease me.

"Oh God, can't we finish this easily?" I pleaded

"Okay baby" she said.

"Her name is Daira. General Art 12 class. A.A house. Do you know her?" I asked.

She looked into my eyes with a half solemn face for a few seconds before returning her beautiful smile.

"Yes. She's not really my friend but we're cool" she replied.

"Okay....anything about her that you know?"

She told me about her good attitude and friendly personality. We spoke for a few minutes then we both moved to the assembly hall for a meeting.

After that I escorted her to her class before going to my class but before we separated she told me something which I didn't take serious but that statement played a serious role in that six months journey of mine.

"Although she's good, be ready for competition because there are a lot of boys around her. Bye"

She said and entered the class without turning back.

"Competition"

"A lot of boys"

I brushed the thought aside and moved to my class to begin the class with a ready mind.

A/N: You are going to be seeing Nali a lot frequent than Nila. They are twins so take note.

I Slapped My Fiancé-Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
