After picking up an unconscious man on the street, I took him home and took care of him in the hope of earning some money as thanks from his family. However, this man lost his memory and did not know what his name was and where he came from. Seeing that he was quite handsome and healthy, I lied that I was his wife and forced him to work with me to make money. The happy life did not last long when I suddenly read an article about him and discovered that he was a famous cold and cruel billionaire. So, that night, I gathered all my clothes and money and ran away because I was afraid he would punish me for deceiving him.

I Picked Up A Billionaire Husband Chapter 1 Being Intimate With Men In A Bar

Alisa

It was already eight o'clock when I ran to the pub. I was out of breath as I gave Mary the gift and told her happy birthday.

Perhaps I was the last to arrive because the room was full of people. However, there was still an empty seat next to Mary and I quickly sat down.

"Come in and drink three glasses, come out and drink seven glasses, Alisa, drink quickly. We've been waiting for you for almost an hour." One of Mary's friends spoke up.

"She hasn't eaten anything yet." Mary glared at the man who had just spoken.

"It's okay, just follow the old rules, I'm late so I'll be punished."

After speaking, I poured myself three glasses of wine and drank them all.

Today, I was just informed by my manager that I was honored to be on the promotion list. Therefore, I am very happy.

Every two years, this supermarket, department store, and convenience store system will select outstanding employees and submit them to superiors for approval to become managers or deputy managers of newly opened stores.

My tolerance for alcohol is not low, but maybe because I was hungry and tired and drank a lot of alcohol, I quickly saw one person become two people.

"Alisa, please eat some food." Mary quickly took a bowl of crab soup for me and said.

I took it, and ate it all in one gulp, my ears were ringing but I could also hear that the girl was scolding her friend, the man who told me to drink three glasses of wine.

"I'm going to the bathroom for a moment and then I'll be back." I smiled then stood up and left the room.

I felt very tired, I silently blamed myself for not knowing how to control myself.

My head was spinning as if I was on a Ferris wheel and my vision was limited. Luckily I still found my way to the toilet.

After vomiting for a long time, I felt less uncomfortable in my stomach.

I miss Ryan again, every time I have a stomach ache, he will buy me medicine, cook me porridge, and rub my belly all night.

"This man, why did you go through the women's restroom? Pervert."

I had just finished washing my face, looked up, and saw the silhouette of a man reflected in the mirror, so I scolded him.

I hate perverts who specialize in harassing women. If they want women, they should go to red light areas, very legal, without worrying about infectious diseases.

The man didn't speak, grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the restroom and showed me the drawing posted on the wall. I obediently followed his finger and looked at that drawing for a long time.

"Hey lady, do you see anything?" His deep, husky voice rang in my ears, it sounded so soothing that it made me want to sleep.

"See, a human being." I nodded and replied.

"Male or female?" The man continued to ask.

"Female." I continued to answer.

"Are you nearsighted? Obviously, it's male." He hissed.

"Are you blind or what? Obviously, it's female." I asked back.

The man showed me the drawing next to it and told me I was the one who went to the wrong bathroom.

He said that drawing was a girl with two pigtails and wearing a skirt, while this drawing was a man wearing long pants and short hair.

"Hey, look at me, I'm also wearing long pants and my hair is short, so I'm a man? Who says women can't wear pants? Are pants only made for men to wear?"

While I was wiping the water from my eyelashes, that man grabbed my hand and pulled me away. He walked very fast, his strides were so long that I was out of breath.

Finally, he stopped in a deserted corner, where two walls ran parallel, the electric light only illuminated half, creating two adjacent patches of light and dark.

When there were no longer drops of water on my eyelids, I could open my eyes wide and look at the person in front of me.

Why does this face look so much like Ryan? This scent belongs to him.

I buried my head in his chest and inhaled continuously, confirming the masculine scent that was once entangled in my hair and the pillow.

"Ryan, is it you?" I looked at him blankly and asked.

"Please guess who I am." His deep, hoarse voice rang out.

If this is a dream, I hope I don't wake up for now. It's been a year, I miss him every second and I'm afraid of seeing him again every day.

He was a noble, cold man and he lived with me, living like husband and wife with me, a poor girl in the slums.

He would kill me, the one who witnessed his miserable and despicable phase, the one who tricked him and rolled around in bed with him every night.

I quickly placed my hand on Ryan's chest, leaned forward, and kissed him on the lips.

The drunkenness, nostalgia, and darkness surrounding me made me temporarily throw away my fear and enthusiastically nibble on the lips that were once imprinted all over my body.

The man's big hand held the back of my neck, and his other hand grabbed my waist, pressing me close.

He kissed me back passionately and forcefully, sometimes even biting my lips as if he were punishing me.

The air in my mouth was almost completely drained by him, making it extremely difficult for me to breathe.

However, the moment I opened my mouth, his tongue entered my mouth, wrapped around my tongue, making wet sounds. Something is bulging underneath, rubbing against my thigh.

"Alisa, call my name."

Ryan let go of my lips, moved down to kiss my neck, and whispered in my ear. His lower body continuously rubbed against me, causing my desire to be stimulated, it seemed like my underwear was wet.

He grabbed my hand and moved it down, forcing me to touch his bulging member. I felt the hot temperature even though it was separated by a thick layer of fabric.

"Alisa, where are you? Are you in the front?"

Mary's call woke me up. What am I doing? What am I doing with a strange man between two narrow walls?

And what's even more terrifying is what am I holding in my hand? Why am I so easy-going and out of control?

I tried my best to push the man away, but he was still breathing heavily, hugging me and shaking, his head still buried in my neck, kissing and biting.

"Alisa, are you here?" Mary's call rang out again.

"Alisa, where are you?" Anthony's voice is just as loud as Mary's.

Not wanting Mary or Anthony to see this embarrassing scene, I took a risk and bit the man's neck hard, making him groan softly.

That moan sounded like pleasure, not pain.

When he loosened his grip, I immediately curled up my legs and ran away, rebuttoning my shirt and rushing towards Mary and her brother.

The high heels betrayed me, causing me to lose my balance and fall to the ground.

I feel so sleepy, I don't want to stand up anymore. So I closed my eyes. I swear I will never drink wine again, only wine made with rice.

I was at my own engagement party at the Sterling estate when the world started tilting. Victoria Sterling, my future mother-in-law, smiled coldly as she watched me struggle with a cup of tea that had been drugged to ruin me. Before I could find my fiancé, Ryan, a waiter dragged me into the forbidden West Wing and locked me in a room with Julian Sterling, the family’s "fallen titan" who had been confined to a wheelchair for years. The door burst open to a frenzy of camera flashes and theatrical screams. Victoria framed me as a seductress caught in the act, and Ryan didn't even try to listen to my pleas, calling me "cheap leftovers" before walking away with his pregnant mistress. When I turned to my own family for help, my father signed a document severing our relationship for a five-million-dollar payout from Julian. They traded me like a commodity without a second thought. I didn't understand why my own parents were so eager to sell me, or how Ryan could look at me with such disgust after promising me forever. I was a sacrifice, a pawn used to protect the family's offshore accounts, and I couldn't fathom how every person I loved had a price tag for my destruction. With nowhere left to go, I married Julian in a bleak ceremony at City Hall. He slid a heavy diamond onto my finger and whispered, "We have a war to start." That night, inside his secret penthouse, I watched the paralyzed man stand up from his wheelchair and activate a screen filled with the Sterling family's darkest secrets. The execution had officially begun.

I sat in the gray, airless room of the New York State Department of Corrections, my knuckles white as the Warden delivered the news. "Parole denied." My father, Howard Sterling, had forged new evidence of financial crimes to keep me behind bars. He walked into the room, smelling of expensive cologne, and tossed a black folder onto the steel table. It was a marriage contract for Lucas Kensington, a billionaire currently lying in a vegetative state in the ICU. "Sign it. You walk out today." I laughed at the idea of being sold to a "corpse" until Howard slid a grainy photo toward me. It showed a toddler with a crescent-moon birthmark—the son Howard told me had died in an incubator five years ago. He smiled and told me the boy's safety depended entirely on my cooperation. I was thrust into the Kensington estate, where the family treated me like a "drowned rat." They dressed me in mothball-scented rags and mocked my status, unaware that I was monitoring their every move. I watched the cousin, Julian, openly waiting for Lucas to die to inherit the empire, while the doctors prepared to sign the death certificate. I didn't understand why my father would lie about my son’s death for years, or what kind of monsters would use a child as a bargaining chip. The injustice of it burned in my chest as I realized I was just a pawn in a game of old money and blood. As the monitors began to flatline and the family started to celebrate their inheritance, I locked the door and reached into the hem of my dress. I pulled out the sharpened silver wires I’d fashioned in the prison workshop. They thought they bought a submissive convict, but they actually invited "The Saint"—the world’s most dangerous underground surgeon—into their home. "Wake up, Lucas. You owe me a life." I wasn't there to be a bride; I was there to wake the dead and burn their empire to the ground.

I was four months pregnant, weighing over two hundred pounds, and my heart was failing from experimental treatments forced on me as a child. My doctor looked at me with clinical detachment and told me I was in a death sentence: if I kept the baby, I would die, and if I tried to remove it, I would die. Desperate for a lifeline, I called my father, Francis Acosta, to tell him I was sick and pregnant. I expected a father's love, but all I got was a cold, sharp blade of a voice. "Then do it quietly," he said. "Don't embarrass Candi. Her debutante ball is coming up." He didn't just reject me; he erased me. My trust fund was frozen, and I was told I was no longer an Acosta. My fiancé, Auston, had already discarded me, calling me a "bloated whale" while he looked for a thinner, wealthier replacement. I left New York on a Greyhound bus, weeping into a bag of chips, a broken woman the world considered a mistake. I couldn't understand how my own father could tell me to die "quietly" just to save face for a party. I didn't know why I had been a lab rat for my family’s pharmaceutical ambitions, or how they could sleep at night while I was left to rot in the gray drizzle of the city. Five years later, the doors of JFK International Airport slid open. I stepped onto the marble floor in red-soled stilettos, my body lean, lethal, and carved from years of blood and sweat. I wasn't the "whale" anymore; I was a ghost coming back to haunt them. With my daughter by my side and a medical reputation that terrified the global elite, I was ready to dismantle the Acosta empire piece by piece. "Tell Francis to wash his neck," I whispered to the skyline. "I'm home."
