Love:Bitter and Sweet

The morning sun rises above the Smith mansion. It was early in the morning and still dark when Enid Walker woke up to the ringing of the alarm clock. She stood up to off the alarm. Checking the time, she realized it was just five in the morning. Seeing that she still had some time before breakfast she decided to write in her diary to keep herself occupied. Reaching out to the locker beside her bed she brought out her diary. Sitting back on her bed she began to write..........

It's been years since Mom left and Dad died but till today it still feels like a dream to me. I wish I could just open my eyes to see I was only in a terrible dream and nothing more. You know, no one told me that life could be this cruel and wicked. It still amazes me how my fairytale life could become a nightmare just in the twinkle of an eye.

It all began When Mom left leaving just me and dad behind to marry someone else. She had claimed my dad wasn't rich enough to give her the life she has always dreamt of. Dad was heartbroken and devastated when she left, later he resulting into the life of drinking. Being a kid there was not much I could do only to watch as my once perfect family crashed before my very eyes.

A year after mom left the worst happen. Dad had drank a lot before leaving for work that day and he ended up having an accident which claimed his life and that of the smith family who happens to be the most wealthy business man in the country. I was told that he had lost consciousness and he lost control, crashing into the smith family's car claiming the the life of Mr and Mrs Smith alongside their Little daughter Minnie leaving just the eighteen years old Logan He was the only one who survived the accident.

Dad was buried and I was sent to live in an orphanage but my stay there was cut short as I was adopted two weeks later by the Smith family. I did wonder why the Smith family would want me, but at that time my little fifteen years old self could not just wrap my head around it. On getting to the Smit mansion I discovered that Logan only ordered for me to be adopted to make me suffer. He told me he would make me pay for my father's mistake of killing his entire family.

Logan turned my life into a living nightmare. He made sure I was never allowed outside the walls of the smith mansion. He made sure to restrict my movement snaching away my freedom from me, making sure I never had friends. Logan would purnish me if I made any mistake . Sometimes he even locks me up in my room without food or water for days. The only ones who shows me kindness are nanny Rose and Mr Jake who happens to be Logan's personal assistant as well. But even they tend to be helpless when Logan decides to unleash his

anger on me.

The only place I find peace is when I go to college . It make me feel like a bird who has been released,and free from the walls of the smith mansion .

Although, lately I've been relaxed cause Logan has been away for a couple of months now. Mr Jake Said he's on a business trip and he doesn't know when he would be back. I'm grateful anyway cause my eighteenth year birthday was the day after tomorrow, and I was hoping to spend it outside, with my friends from college, and not in the walls of this house. I just hope everything goes as planned and nothing goes wrong.
