Chapter 1 REVA WALTER

~REVA'S ROOM~

One of the things I hate most, sunrise. If there was a spell to cast for a forever darkness, I would gladly be the one to cast it on the world.

Growling, I sat up and magically closed my curtains to stop the sun's rays of light from getting in.

"Another miserable day!" I mumbled and sighed.

Staring around my large dark room, it's dead silent because I'm the only one in it.

Yeah! I've no roommate. Wondering why I have none? I always hurt them badly and have them kicked out.

Once you get on my bad side, there's no way am letting you see the next day's light.

Turning around, I grab the book on my nightstand. It's my diary, sealed with my own blood so one else can open it. Pretty sure one would dare to touch it even if it was left open.

After making my pen write down the things I want, I closed the book and kept it back.

Moving to my bathroom, I magically use my toothbrush to brush my teeth. While brushing my teeth, I packed my red hair up in a high ponytail.

After having my bath and dressing up, I walked into my room and gave it a plain look.

"Arrange!" I ordered and everything obeyed, arranging itself.

When I saw everything was in order, I turned to leave without taking any book, I don't give a damn about them.

As I walked on the hallway, students avoided any close contact with me, especially the weak ones.

Their eyes were filled with a mix of curiosity and fear as they glanced at me. They could sense something different about me, an aura of power and darkness that emanated from my very being. I relished in their discomfort, reveling in the fear I instilled.

Feeling someone's light touch at my back, I turned my gaze to the side and saw it was Alice.

"How times have I told you to stop touching me?"

"A million times, but I won't stop" she replied with a sheepish smile.

"I guess you don't mind lose your hands then" I scoffed.

"You're looking extremely bitchy today, Dark Queen" Alice said. "Principal Hazel is definitely gonna be calling any minute." She added.

"Like I give a damn!" I replied coldly.

We continued our walk till we got to class and settled down. A teacher was already in the midst of teaching, indicating that we were late. Well, being late has always been my thing.

"Reva Walter, Alice Elwood" Ms Hopkins growled, adjusting her glasses.

"Mary Hopkins!" I replied nonchalantly.

"Mind your tongue, young lady" she warned angrily, while the students murmured.

It came as no surprise that I addressed her disrespectfully. I have developed a reputation for such behavior.

"Are you going to keep teaching, or am I the subject?" I asked rudely.

"I'll deal with you later" she said and pushed her glasses up before returning her gaze to the board.

"Good job, Penelope!" Ms Hopkins praised a girl with one of her sheepish smiles.

"Thanks, Ma'am" Penelope replied, smiling, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"A level one practice" the girl beside me muttered, and I looked at her.

Her name is Devyn, popularly known as Devyn De Calamity. She's a quiet witch, but a very deadly one. With a scorpion on her shoulder and two braided black hair, her appearance gave off a cold chilling vibe.

She also possesses a special book that is always with her, which contains her dark spells and other knowledge she desired.

"Puh...lease, I don't really see the big deal in making a dead plant turn into a stupid colorful live one" I chimed in arrogantly.

"Is that so? How about you show us how good you are, oh great one?" Ms Hopkins challenged, folding her arms.

"With pleasure!" I smiled devilishly.

Turning my gaze to a dead plant in a vase, I gave it a quick red flash from my eyes, and it grew into a smaller one.

"Is this how much you can impress me?" Ms Hopkins laughed.

But before she could laugh to her satisfaction, the plant grew into a huge one, breaking the vase, and one of its branches grabbed her.

"Ahhh! Put me down, you stupid plant!" she shouted, trying spells to stop it, but the plant's branch shook her violently.

Everyone in the class burst into loud laughter, but I didn't join in. I maintained a cold expression, folding my arms as I watched the spectacle.

"Reva Walter!" My name echoed loudly through the classroom speakers.

Instantly, silence descended in the room, they knew it was Principal Hazel calling.

"I want you in my office right now, Reva" she said, her voice seething with anger.

"Told you so" Alice whispered beside me, and I rolled my eyes before getting up to leave.

"Release me before you leave!" Ms Hopkins shouted.

I snapped my fingers in the air, and the plant returned to its normal state, causing her to fall heavily on her butt.

"Revaaa...!!!" I heard her scream as I walked out of the door.

~PRINCIPAL HAZEL'S OFFICE~

There's rarely any day I don't come here, and it has become a very boring activity for me.

I didn't bother knocking on the door and opened it to go in. The first sight that met my eyes made me frown in annoyance.

"Stop using that face around me" I growled angrily.

Hazel is up to one of her tricks again, taking the form of my father.

"Why? Do you hate him that much, dear?" she smiled annoyingly, swiftly transforming into her true form.

She becomes a woman with blazing dark eyes, reddish lips as though it's being dipped in blood, and an aura that exudes dark secrets.

"It seems you enjoy my company. What the fuck is it this time?" I asked rudely, defiantly placing my legs on her desk, filled with books, as I took a seat opposite her.

"Learn to bring sanity into my office" she said, using a spell to pull my legs down. "Also, learn to bring some of it into your classroom."

"Is that what all this is about?" I scoffed.

"You must know I wouldn't tolerate any more of your attitude towards any teacher."

"Do I look happy about their stupidity?!" I retorted.

"Reva!" She gritted her teeth in anger.

"I don't make promises. I'm leaving!" I declared, standing up to make my exit.

"One more thing!" I heard her say, and I stopped walking. "Don't leave the school's premises again."

"I hate cages!" I replied with a smirk from the corner of my eye and left her office.

As I step out into the hallway, my frown deepens, seeing the person standing in front of me. It's Lucinda, always ready to make my day worse.

"Take your miserable self out of my way!" I said sharply.

"It's obvious you're the miserable one here" she smirked. "Why the hell do you always give my mom a headache?"

"Why don't you ask why she cares more about me than her precious little daughter?" I retorted with a smirk of my own. Her face contorts into a frown, clearly affected by my words.

"The day is already horrible enough, so stop adding your misfortunes to it" I muttered coldly, pushing her aside as I walk away.

I sensed her hand tensing, ready to cast a spell, but she stopped. I have to say, that's the best decision she has ever made.

~BASKETBALL COURT~

Walking into the quiet baseball court, I went over to the multiple seats and laid down. At least, there's no one here and I can have my peace of mind.

Everything was going well, till I heard noises. That made anger boil in me and I slowly opened my eyes.

"What bastard has to ruin this moment?" I growled and walked to male changing section where I heard the noise was coming from.

Immediately I got to the door, I gave it a strong kick and it fell down loudly.

The sound made the four boys in there stop whatever they were doing and turned to my direction.

"Hey, baby!" Dagen, their leader, smiled at me.

My gaze ignored him and met the boy whose lying almost lifeless on the floor. It's obvious he's being bullied.

I scoffed and turned to leave without uttering a word.

"Wait up, sweetheart, you can't just leave without saying a word to me" Dagen said as he sped and grabbed my hand.

I looked at his hand on mine and frowned, pulling it off. "Go beg for death elsewhere!" I muttered, leaving.

"Stop being difficult and let us..." he couldn't complete as I made his shorts go down before he could touch me again.

"What the hell?" Dagen gasped, trying to pull it up real quick. "And what the fuck are you bitches staring at?" He shouted at the group of girls that just came in laughing as they saw the scene.

"It seems the day plans on ruining every moment for me" I sighed as I walked out of there completely.

Going back into the classroom, Alice rushed to me as I sat down.

"Why the look? Did you get expelled?" She asked with a grin.

"Would have been better!" I scoffed.

"You know that's impossible" she chuckled.

After a while, a teacher came in and started teaching. Others paid attention, but his gibberish are not for me. I just hate this school and everyone in it.

The fact I can't be free and just remain locked up in this damn cell called school, is super frustrating.

I know you'll want an intro about me, but I skipped it because I don't like such. But since it's necessary, here's what you need to know.

Am Reva Walter, a witch born from the strongest bloodline. I have multiple powers and gifts because am born with what is called a "Gifted Soul."

It's a very special rare soul that is different from the others, and that's all you need to know for now.

Well, just like the writing on the black sign outside the school says, "WELCOME TO EVERMORE ACADEMY."
