Two different accidents took their memories. It changed their lives and that of their families. Aiko Scott and Alexis Colbert were childhood friends turned teenage lovers. Taking on another identity, Alexis Colbert vowed to get on the people who have harmed her and her family. She became the most powerful woman in T City. On the other hand, Aiko Scott, the billionaire CEO and the most powerful man in T City still in search of his childhood love vows to find the killer of his love and his parents. When hate destroys, love rebuilds. And fate?... It cannot be altered.
In a large, dark room with very fancy designer furniture; chairs on the far right in the order of a small living room, a black shiny glass table set in the middle of the chairs with nothing but alcoholic red wine and two glass cups, a large black desk near the floor to ceiling glass window with a black chair behind it. Anyone who camIne in always thought it was a villain's lair. It bestowed fear on anyone who stepped in.
Sitting behind the dark desk was a young man with thick dark brows, a very sharp jawline, plump lips, ocean blue eyes and sleek dark hair. The man looked like a god. He was staring blankly at the woman in green sitting on one of the sofas pouring wine into a glass. But to be honest, he was utterly disgusted. That is Aiko Scott. A young billionaire business man who always got anything he wanted, either because of his looks or his intelligent business mind.
Maya Squire didn't see his expression turn gloomy because she kept on talking about things that did not matter in a business meeting. Aiko was extremely mad. Maya is the youngest daughter of the Squire family, one of the prominent families in T City. Although, Aiko knew she was there for a whole other reason which was why he kept his cool. He also wanted to close the damn deal that would help his new project rake in more billions for SCOTT'S TECH in the near future. After all the irrelevant conversations, the deal was closed. Aiko only needed their investments. And since he and Maya were familiar with each other since college, the Squires and Aiko decided to close the deal through her. 'Okay, so you can go on with the project now', Maya said, smiling in a way that would show off her dimples. Maya was pretty but Aiko was a different man. Very different. He had to admit, she was pretty but not his taste. He hated the fact that she was always throwing herself at him. 'Great. My regards to Mr. Squire', Aiko said flatly and immediately left the room. Maya was stupefied. She was supposed to leave a good first impression. She wasn't so sure about that now.
Thirty minutes after she left, Aiko and Carl walked in. 'Did she trouble you?', asked the laughing Carl Jones. 'Your face looks ugly. Fix it!' Aiko glared at him but he shoved it off. Carl knew his best friend too well and knew how to keep him in check. 'I won again.', Aiko said almost smiling but remembered Carl was in the office and then kept a straight face. Carl just shook his head knowingly.
