Every night, Sarah cried and tried to escape. Can Sarah escape from the cruel Lucius? Or will they love each other?

Chapter 1 Gunshots in the room

Sarah felt a cold sensation creep over her body as someone led her to a mansion bathed in pale moonlight. A tall fence surrounded the property, creating a mysterious aura that sent chills down her spine. The house was filled with strange sounds, such as the hiss of the wind sweeping through dry leaves and invisible whispers echoing in the night air. Sarah was both frightened and surprised by the atmosphere that stirred the imagination.

She sighed heavily as the man escorting her pushed open the large door to the house. The door rattled as it opened, revealing a spacious living room with classical ornaments and luxurious furniture that looked like objects thrown from the Victorian era. Large candles lit up the room, creating strange shadows all over the walls.

Without warning, Sarah was suddenly pulled into the basement by a large, fierce-looking man. The man wore a black cloak that fluttered behind him as he held Sarah firmly by the arm. His eyes were sharp and filled with an intimidating darkness.

"Who are you?" asked Sarah in a trembling voice.

The man only looked at her briefly before replying coldly, "You don't need to know who I am. All you need to know is that you are now in our control."

Sarah tried to pull away, but the man's grip was so firm that she felt helpless. She felt her breath catch, and her heart pounded.

The man led her deeper into the dark basement. The strange noises grew more muscular, like gasps and the roar of the wind that sent chills down her spine. They finally arrived at a larger room with sparkling lights that revealed a shocking sight.

In the center of the room was a large man with long black hair sitting on a gold-embellished chair. The man looked handsome despite being 40 years old.

The man rose from the chair, his steps heavy and robust, like a beast about to pounce on its prey. His eyes were sharp and luminous as if they held a profound secret.

"Little girl," he said in a deep voice that sent chills down Sarah's spine. I will tell you who I am and what my powers are. I am Lucian, the werewolf mafia. I have gambled to get you from your stepfather. Now you are mine, and you must obey my commands."

Sarah was silent, her eyes glazed over. She missed the freedom she used to enjoy when her days were ordinary and without threats like this. She felt humiliated and hurt, traded like merchandise by the stepfather who was supposed to protect her.

Lucian arrogantly asked Sarah to sit in front of him. "I don't like crying women!"

"What should I do?" asked Sarah in a voice full of emotion, trying to control herself despite her broken heart.

Lucian smiled with satisfaction, surprising Sarah. "You must fulfill my request. I need a male offspring, and I will take what I want."

Sarah felt sick at Lucian's words. She contemplated her fate now at the mercy of a man who seemed to know no mercy. She felt trapped in a dark world she had never imagined.

Lucian continued, "You will stay here and do as I command. You will learn to submit to me, or the consequences will be very bad."

Sarah felt lost, trapped in a situation from which there was no escape. She knew that fighting Lucian was a stupid and dangerous idea, so she had to find a way to survive.

"Time will tell," Sarah said weakly, trying to convince herself she could find an opportunity for escape or revenge one day.

Lucian just smiled and nodded. "You will soon learn that there is no escape. Now, prepare to live by my rules."

Sarah pondered her unexpected fate. She had to find a way to survive in this dark and dangerous world while longing for the freedom that now seemed so far away.

The sun rose with a sharp light, illuminating Sarah's confined room. The next day, Lucian came to Sarah's room with a small plate of food steaming warmly. Sarah sat in the corner of the room, her eyes glued to the window that revealed the freedom that now seemed so far away.

Lucian placed the plate of food on the small table near Sarah's bed. "I hope you can take it. It would help if you had strength," he said calmly, though his presence carried an eerie aura of power

Sarah stared at the food impassively as if seeing something invisible to the ordinary eye. Lucian tried to smile, but the kindness didn't change Sarah's cold gaze.

"I don't want to eat. I'd rather die here. Instead of being treated like this!" exclaimed Sarah, her voice full of discontent and despair.

Lucian held back his anger, but his eyes blazed with a frightening intensity. "Are you sure?" asked Lucian in a sharper tone, implying an unspoken threat.

Sarah stared at Lucian with a boldness that might have made some people tremble, but not Lucian. He took in the expression on Sarah's face as if to find out the extent of the girl's determination. "I mean it," Sarah said in a steady voice.

Lucian sighed, trying to calm his anger. "Don't make any rash decisions. Your life is in my hands, and I can make it harder for you."

"I don't care!"

Lucian's face turned bright red when he heard Sarah's harsh words. He held back his anger, trying to control his overflowing emotions. However, the decision to show power to Sarah was a step he would take.

"Get her out of here!" ordered Lucian to his bodyguards in a trembling voice. The loyal werewolf bodyguard immediately entered Sarah's room, staring at the girl with an unfriendly gaze as if to convey that she was just a piece of meat that could be trampled under Lucian's rule.

Sarah felt a bone-chilling chill as she was forced into another room. The room was dark, with only faint light from a lamp. In the center of the room, her hands were roughly bound. A feeling of helplessness overcame her, and fear crept up on her.

Lucian walked in with firm steps. His cold face created an atmosphere of tension in the room. He held a gun in a threatening manner as if Sarah's life was now at the end of Lucian's decision.

Sarah tried to contain her fear, although the ropes binding her hands gave her little room to move. She looked at Lucian with eyes that tried to hide the fear behind them.

Lucian approached Sarah with steady steps, raising his gun, creeping his gaze as sharp as a wolf's eyes during a hunt. "If you really want to die, I will hasten your wish!" Lucian said firmly, his voice rattling in the quiet room.

Sarah took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heartbeat. Gunshots echoed in the room.

"Carroll Brown is dead! But you have to marry him in your sister's name." My mother said to me in a cold tone. My sister was engaged to the hottest billionaire. It should have been a perfect marriage. Unexpectedly, Carroll was dead in an accident. My sister didn't want to become a widow, so she forced me to marry her dead fiance. And I had no right to refuse her. Actually, I was the biological daughter of the Smith family. My sister was an adoptive one. My sister and I had been swapped at the hospital when we were just born. My parents had already had a deep relationship with her. So they chose to sacrifice me. On the wedding day, I was taken to the mourning hall. "Ma'am, please keep Master company and let him feel warm." The housekeeper said with a cold expression. I couldn't help but look up at the portrait above the coffin, and my heart skipped a beat at this glance. The man in the portrait was more handsome than the superstars in Hollywood. Carroll Brown? My dead husband? Wow, he was really handsome! I didn't know how long had passed when my stomach began to rebel. After one glance at the coffin, I swallowed my saliva and then begged with my fingers crossed. "Mr. Carroll, I'm starving! May I eat your pastries? You don't mind, do you?" "I do." "Ah!" Scared, I broke out in a cold sweat. My legs went limp, and I fell to the ground. I shouted, "Ghost!" Carroll curled his lips, leaned over, and touched the black coffin. "Mr. Carroll has risen from the dead. What do you think of this headline tomorrow?"
