Chapter 1 FIRST ENCOUNTER

Music beam from the stereo of the famous GET LAID nightclub , inside of the club was filled with people as they all dance to the beat of the music , the red and blue light was illuminating the club . At an extreme dark corner sat a single who watching the scene like it's none of her business, the corner was so dark that one could hardly see anything thus making it almost impossible for anyone to see the figure . She gulp down a glass of alcoholic wine , gently she poured herself another drink as the incident from earlier played in her head.

" you're twenty eight Alexandra, You need a man " the voice of her mother rang in her head. She could still picture herself not caring one bit .

" c'om Ma Martha , everyone knows that Alexa here is a lesbian " one of her cousin maryjane said . Alexandra imagined the scenario when the girl rolled her eyes at her but as always she ignored her.

" is this true Alexandra ? " her mother asked

" don't tell me you believe that ? " Alexandra let out with a straight face .

" oh please! Alexandra, everyone knows how you are always clubbing going out with different girls and deny the fact i haven't see you making out with a girl at a nightclub before ? " another of her cousin Amber said, Alexandra wanted to laugh , she wanted to let the laughter out but no , she can't laugh, she can't do that in front of them.

" what do you have to say for yourself young lady ? " her mother asked.

" am no lesbian and even if i am whose business is it ? " Alexandra answered .

" ours , ours because it will affect the family business " her mother half yelled .

" do you what that will cost us if words gets out that my daughter is a lesbian ? " Alexandra lowered her head not because she was scared of her mother but because she didn't want to start up an argument that won't end well.

" listen up Alexandra , my birthday is coming up , better get a man by then or am giving the company to Devan " with that said her mother walked out , slamming the door really hard to express her anger . Alexandra didn't show that it bothered her , she gently stood up and made to leave .

" oh my! wait let elder brother Devan hears about this " Amber said clapping her hands excitedly like a kid who has been told that Santa clause will delivery her gift himself .

" You know Ma Martha's birthday is in three weeks time right ? " Maryjane asked , she was trying to her on Alexandra's nerves but Alexandra was way pass that level thus she walked out slamming the door really hard as well .

Back at the club she drank the last remaining of her wine , without a care in the world she uncapped another , this time around she drank directly from the bottle , dropping the bottle back on the table she caught sight of three men walking into the club , from where she was sitting it was easier for her to see who goes in and out of the club but they can't see her it's a very secured part of the club . She watched the men walk over to the bartender , they shook hands with him , *must have known the bartender * , he mixed drinks for them , happily the other two joined the dancing but one lean on the counter chatting with the bartender , he mixed another drink for the man before he pushed him off , smiling to himself the man walked out of the counter , she narrowed her gaze when she noticed him coming over to where she was sitting holding a glass of god knows what he ordered .

" Wow ! never expected to see anyone here " the man exclaimed , Alexandra choose to ignored him , he will go away eventually . Still standing he stretch forth his hands hopping for a handshake yet no response from the lady sitting down .

" am Steve you are ? " still no response from the lady

" okay , i guess you might be deaf and maybe dumb " he said , he proceeded to making gestures with his hands and body but the girl didn't even look up at him , she kept on drowning herself in that bottle of wine .

" you might get drank " he commented as he sat down in another seat opposite her , well she can sit on the seat today he doesn't mind. The entire thing felt like he was talking to himself thus he decided to keep to himself . The two just stayed like that for what felt like forever before she decided it was time to leave , she stood up but then she staggered and almost fell had a strong muscular arms not caught .

" get your hands off me " she warned as she slapped his hands off her waist ,

" Wow you talk ! " the man exclaimed, although he was unhappy that the girl ignored him yet he choose to push that aside now and help the girl , he tried to reach out to her again , the kind of deadly stare the girl gave him made him withdrew himself instantly .

" if you value those things you call hands keep them to yourself " the warning was clear , the man scoffed at how rude the lady was , he watched her stagger her way towards the door , the girl won't be able to reach home like this , she's drunk , should he help her , nahh !! it's none of his business , the girl is rude , but if it's because of how drunk she is , for what it's worth he decided to help her , she will appreciate him kind gesture when she's back to normal , with that in mind he carefully followed her .

Outside the club, Alexandra was having a hard time balancing her steps , she kept on tripping but thanks to her stamina she will always hold herself ,not long she passed a boy and and girl who were seriously making out next to a red Lexus , she didn't even bother to give them a second look , she simply walk pass them . Getting close to her white Porsche , she reached for her Jean pocket searching for the keys , finally found it at the back left pocket she brought it out but being too drunk the key fell off , she reached down to pick it up but someone picked it up instead causing her to hiss .

" hand the damn keys " she let out in her drunken state .

" let me take you home , where do you live " the girl asked .

" f*ck off " she hissed at the girl but the girl was having none of it rather she opened the car by pressing a button on the key .

" yeyyy!! i have always wanted to ride a Porsche " The girl said she wanted to hop on the driver's seat when Alexandra's voice called out to her .

" no one drives my car "

" am Special "

" what ? "

" that's my name , Special Gentle " the girl said flashing her cute smile .

" you're still not getting in my car "

" look am just trying to help you , not like i bit or anything " .

" Special !!!" someone yelled her name , both girls turn to see a man standing close to a red Lexus looking aggressive .

" you f*cking b¡tch !!"

" go f-k yourself " she said , angrily the man started to approach them .

" if you wanna make it a run for it now is you chance " Special let out , looking at the aggressive man approaching them Alexandra decided to take her chances with the girl , she hopped into the car as the girl took off , raising dust along the way .

" f–k you stupid a$$ b¡tch " the man yelled but the girls were way out of reach .

"Lucien, let's get a divorce," I said in a peremptory tone that was long overdue, the most decisive farewell to this absurd marriage. We had been married for exactly three years-three years that, for me, were filled with nothing but endless loneliness and torment. For three years, the husband who should have stood by my side through every storm, Lucien Sullivan, had completely disappeared from my life as if he had never existed. He vanished without a trace, leaving me alone to endure this empty, desolate marriage. Today, I finally received his message: "I'm back. Come pick me up at the airport." When I read his words, my heart leapt with joy, and I raced to the airport, thinking that he finally understood my love and was coming back to me. But his cruelty was far worse than I could have ever imagined-he was accompanied by a pregnant woman, and that woman was Carla, my closest and most trusted friend. In that moment, all of my previous excitement, all my hope, and all of our shared laughter and tears turned into the sharpest of daggers, stabbing into my heart and leaving me gasping for air. Now, all I want is to escape from this place that has left me so broken-to lick my wounds in solitude. Even if these wounds will remain with me for the rest of my life, I refuse to have anything to do with him ever again. He should know that it was his own hand that trampled our love underfoot, that his coldness and betrayal created this irreparable situation. But when he heard those words, he desperately clung to this broken, crumbling marriage, unwilling to let it end-almost as though doing so could rewind time and return everything to how it used to be. "Aurora, come back. I regret everything!" Regret? Those simple words stirred no emotion in me-only endless sadness and fury. My heart let out a frantic, desperate scream: It's too late for any of this!
