POV:Valentino Romano

Valentino Romano received a call from his father that snapped him out of his thoughts. His father's voice sent a shiver down his spine as he demanded, "Where the hell are you?!" Valentino hesitated before responding, "I'm at the other branch of the company in Cairo." His father took a deep breath before delivering the news Valentino had been avoiding for years, "You have to come back home sometime. Your mother's death isn't your fault." In a fit of anger, Valentino hung up the phone and smashed it against the wall.My secretary rushed into my office, startled by the sudden noise of my phone smashing against the wall. He entered, shook his head in disappointment, and quickly left to purchase another phone, a common occurrence due to my frequent outbursts of anger.

Upon his return, I instructed him to prepare for our return to the head branch. He was taken aback by the sudden decision but nodded in understanding, aware of my reserved nature.

As we arrived home, I retrieved a box that my mother had gifted me on my 10th birthday.

Inside were all the cherished memories of her, including pictures and a bracelet. As I looked at one of the pictures, a tear involuntarily fell upon it. Despite the passing years, the pain of her absence still lingered within me.

That night, I allowed myself to release the emotions I had bottled up for so long. I cried uncontrollably, letting out all the pent-up feelings that I had suppressed. Eventually, exhausted from the emotional release, I cried myself to sleep, drifting into a deep slumber.
