Luna's curse

"Rachel, tonight's prom is important, even if you just arrived home, you can't make excuses because you are tired".Daisy my dear sister said to me.

My dear sister; that is how I affectionately calls Daisy, my sister.

"My dear sister, for something as crucial as picking the Luna of the wolves, I don't think I want to be there". I replied Daisy

"And why, if I may ask?". Daisy inquired, rather surprised.

"You know how I am Daisy; I will end up messing things up. My presence there could make a mess of the ball". I affirmed.

My father died in the war with the Night clan before I was born, and my mother died while giving birth to me. And, I was diagnosed as a disabled who would not become in this life, from my young age.

When the other children in the pack knew about my predicament, they all mocked me mercilessly.

If not for my sister's support and protection, I would have been driven out of the pack a long time ago; no wolf pack would accept a disabled member.

And so I became a drag on the pack, and I was always laughed at by the others.

I often blamed myself for this; it was my birth that caused the death of my mother, and now, my disability had burdened my sister. Although she never complained, Daisy always said that she will look for her mate after watching me live a happy life.

"I forbid you to say that!". Daisy said to me; her ever smiling face suddenly turned angry.

Realizing what I have done, I hurriedly covered my mouth with my palm and looked at my sister, standing by the window.

The brightly shinning sun sprinkled on my sister's body, and my already beautiful sister; surrounded by a layer of light from the sun, looked like the goddess of the moon.

In my heart she is the best candidate for the Luna of the wolves.

"Did you hear that?! Even you are not permitted to say such thing about yourself!". She scolded me.

I smiled, and nodded my head.

Daisy had always been like this. Ever since I was a kid, she always protected me.

When I was attacked by other children, she always yelled at them. And whenever people called me disabled, she would pick a fight.

She would just grab whatever tools that were around and just fight

Daisy has a genius brain and body. She can read people's mind from a very young age, and she has a very strong talent for fighting.

The average person her age cannot beat her.

Even after dealing with men; daily wrestling in the mud and sweating at the training ground, Daisy looks and body remains stunningly as beautiful as they should be.

Her long golden hair would glow in the sun, her eyes soulful and unusual. Her high breast, in a low-cut dress that shows off her cleavages, would always attract attentions of people around her.

The men in the wolf pack often comes to me because of my sister; they are willing to use all they have for my sister.

"Rachel!". My sister's high pitched voice brought me back from my thought. She had already taken out the dress she had prepared for me long ago for this Luna selection.

"You have to go to this party no matter what, even if it is just to socialize and then you come back".

"I heard that Katie will be coming in a full costume ". I said.

Katie was my only play mate as a child, but she betrayed me so viciously that one could swear that she only came closer to me just to betray me.

"Yes.You know she grew up dreaming of becoming Luna, no matter whoever the Alpha was".

Becoming Luna was her lifelong quest.

My sister pulled me to stand in front of the mirror and compared the dresses.

Katie and I grew up together as best friends. We were born tat the same time in the wolf pack, and the elders said we would become best of friends.

I had a rough and dark skin, and I don't look cute.

But Katie was born with that everyone admired. People called her "the most beautiful doll in the whole world, and her mother did not die while giving birth to her.

She was lucky.

When we were ten years old, her favourite thing to do was to sit at the practice field and watch the strong men.

She always said that she would become Luna in the future, and her Alpha would be among this group of strong men.

And she would look at me and she would tease me and said with contempt.

"Oh Rachel, be rest assured that when I become Luna, I would love to make you my personal maid; after all, we are good friends. And what are friends for?". She would tell me.

I was so dumb then to catch the meaning of Katie's words at that time.

"But Daisy is too beautiful; to beautiful for me to ignore the threats she poses to me". She would say about my sister.

Katie was willing to have me as her personal maid because my ugliness would make her beauty shine more brighter. But, I didn't presume what my sister's beauty would pose to her.

Once, Katie had attempted destroying my sister's looks, but my sister was very strong and smart. And when Katie threw the acid at her, she already knew what was in her mind.

My sister's eyes became so fierce all of a sudden, the turquoise blue light flashed in her eyes, and at that moment she turned into a wolf.

She dodged the acid Katie had thrown at her, and swiftly pounced on Katie, grabbing her arms with both paws and standing on her abdomen with her hind legs so she couldn't move.

When the old men of the clan arrived, Katie hid by the corner of the house, afraid to speak.

I hated Katie from that day.

And since her dream was to become Luna, this ball made sense to me.

I can't wait to see her disappointed.

"I am never going to forgive Katie for what she did". I said, as my sister got me prepared for the party.

I had great anticipations for Katie's failure.

""Rachel just let it go, Katie didn't hurt me either". My sister said. And glancing at the clock, it was five o'clock already.

"Rachel it is time, let us go". My sister said as she was already packed up.

Daisy was not having any makeup on, but she looked so beautiful.

The appointment was by 5:30, and it took us 30minutes to travelled from our house to the ball which was held for Alpha Gilbert to select his Luna. All the young women in the community was to attend in their most gorgeous and best attires and costumes for Alpha Gilbert to select.

I didn't like the occasion; being a human, and being paraded to be selected like a commodity makes me feel like I had no dignity as a human being.

But, that was Alpha's orders, no one dared to disobey, and certainly no one would disobey the Alphas orders. After all, if you or any of your family members becomes Luna, it would be the glory of the whole family.

The road to the prom was smooth and one could tell that it was recently and carefully repaired just because of the occasion.

Ten years ago, the road was all dirt, and no-one wanted to walk on it because it would get their shoes dirty.

But I was an exception because I didn't have shoes.

Now this road is full of cars, and today is a very big event for our pack. And the whole packs of wolves are heading in the same direction.

It didn't take me long go see a shinny beautiful golden building directly in front of us.

I could hear loud musics coming from the golden building, and the beautiful music made me feel better.

In front of the building were the Alpha's army, soldiers were arranged in two rows; all with pointed guns in their hands.

Their expressions were serious, not at all like they were attending such a delightful ball.

They are mainly responsible for guarding the Alpha, and ensured his safety.

Although it is nearly impossible for anything to happen on such an occasion, it is Alpha's right to have soldiers guarding him.

"What kind of person is Alpha Gilbert?". I had asked my sister, out of curiosity, as she was looking at her phone.

The question made my sister jerked her head up looking at me happily and said.

"Oh my God, this is amazing. Is my sister finally picking interest in the Alpha like every other person?!". She said excitedly.

I waved my hand and hurriedly stopped my sister's crazy idea.

"Oh Daisy, don't make fun of me, I was just feeling bored; that is why I asked. And if the Alpha is good enough, I would like to contact him for my sister". I made light the situation, and calmed her exaggeration.

:What boldness! Look at the soldiers around here; all working to protect the Alpha, and you think the Alpha is someone to be contacted so easily just because you wants to?!". My sister teased me.

We laughed.

He was the Alpha, yes, but he is still a man. And no man can ignore my sister's beauty; no one had been able to escape it.

When we arrived the gate of the building, I noticed that the two wolves walking in front of us had turned to human beings, gorgeously dressed, and they walked into the building.

That scene reminded me of the fact that I will never be a wolf.

Others can have the abilities born with a werewolf except me!

Why?!

"Honey, if you don't feel well, you can take a walk around the garden. And don't worry about me, I will be fine". My sister hugged me and said to me when she discovered that my countenance had fallen.

I nodded my head, and walk away.

My sister was afraid that I would be sad so she would never turn into a wolf in front of me. And she would always made sure I didn't see others turn into wolves while I was watching.

It turns out that werewolves are so great and have strong body and fierce fighting power as wolves, and also had wisdom beyond normal people.

But I cannot turn into a wolf. I do not have the fierce fighting ability .

I am disabled.

I had been thinking about these things, that I did not noticed what I had walked into.

And when k had my senses back, I found myself standing at the gate of the garden.

It was a very big garden ,standing in the doorway. One could hardly see the inside of the doorway because of the big garden trees and the dense foliage covering the view.

There were no soldiers around, nor any single soul around.

It was a space just for me, and I loved it..

I followed the path and went deeper into the garden. The path was lined with lilac, and tulips, and roses. The roses were looking so big, best and beautiful. It would be a perfect sight for couples. I imagined.

It was such a romantic sight, that I suddenly had a longing for a man to stand next to me at that moment, kissing me and telling me how much he loved me.

"Do you like the roses?".

I heard a masculine voice behind my back.

I jerked my head around; towards the sound of the voice, and found a tall figured man walking towards me from the other end of the path.

He is so good looking, with a silvery white hair and a pair of dark blue eyes, and a tall framed body built.

He was wearing glasses with gold rims, and he also looked like a very learned man.

He is so dazzling and so desirable to have!

As he approached me, my heart was pounding. A current of electricity flowed through my body, and I could feel my cheeks heating up. And my mood exhilarating.

He is my mate!
