After Fiona's high-school boyfriend cheated on her, she swore never to fall in love. Until she met a possessive billionaire.
FIONA POV
"Grand pa, are you actually telling me to get married to a stranger?" Fiona asked, looking surprised by her grand father's request.
"Fiona, dear, how many times will I have to tell you that he's my best friend's grandson?" Fiona's grand father said.
"But I'm still young, Grand pa," Fiona said.
"That's not my concern," her grand father replied. "All I want is a grand great child."
"If that's what you want, why don't you leave me alone and go ask Berry to give you a grand great child?" Fiona stated.
"No more jokes, Fiona. I want you to be the person who will bear my first grand great child," Old man Peter said coldly. I was really surprised by his change of attitude.
"If you don't obey me by getting married to my best friend's grandson, you will have to kiss your company goodbye," my grand father said. "But that's impossible. You can't take that away from me," I exclaimed, looking very shocked.
"Of course, I can take it from you because I gave it to you," my grand father remarked nonchalantly. I knew what he said was true, so I had to agree to his request or lose my company.
"OK, Grand pa," I said. "Thank God you finally agreed."
"You didn't give me a better option," I said. Then I turned to leave without saying another word and left my grand father's room.
When I was out of the mansion, I looked back. This was where I grew up after my father died, and my mother was nowhere to be seen. I used all means to look for her, but I never found her, so I had to forget about her.
I turned to enter my car but was stopped by Becky, who stood in front of my car door. Becky is actually a nerd, unlike me. She always dresses up in hoodies and jeans and is my step-sister, my father's mistress's child.
"What is the meaning of this?" I questioned coldly. "Sister Fiona, I'm so happy to see you after so many years," Becky said, smiling and then she hugged me.
I was dumbstruck. After this nerd slept with my high-school boyfriend five years ago, she still had the guts to talk to me and even hug me. I removed her hands from my body, then I pushed her roughly, and she hit her back on the door of my car.
"Don't you ever lay your filthy hands on me again," I said coldly. "I'm sorry, Fiona, and I really mean it. I shouldn't have risked our relationship because of Jaden, but I love him and he also loves me. Please forgive me," she said, looking sorry.
I know she is sorry for hurting me, but I won't forgive her easily because I loved and cared for Jaden, but he cheated on me with my step-sister. "I have forgiven you," I said, which was a lie. She wanted to hug me, so I immediately told her not too.
"Now Can you excuse me?" I said with no expression on my face. She left, then waved me when I entered my car, which I totally ignored, and drove my car directly to my "fashion and cloth designing company, the fourth most famous company in Europe."
As I reached my company, I parked my car in the under ground parking lot, then I entered the reception where all the staff who saw me were greeting me, which I ignored completely. I'm sure they are already used to my cold behavior by now.
I went to my private elevator that brought me to the tenth floor where my office was located. I opened my office to see Berry, my assistant, best friend, and roommate sitting in the chair opposite mine, looking at some documents.
"Late again," she said without looking at me. "I can explain, Berry," I responded, which made her turn to look at me. With the way she is staring at me, I knew she was very angry. "Is the meeting over?" I asked, changing the topic.
"Yes," she answered coldly, then turned back to what she was doing. "So why are you late?" she asked. "You left home even before I woke up, so I was expecting to see you here."
"My grand father sent for me," I answered nonchalantly. "So what's it all about?" she said before she dropped the file in her hands and turned to look at me.
"He was talking about me getting married to his best friend's grand son," I said, frowning. "But you can just reject the offer if you don't like the guy. So why are you angry?" she said after she noticed my reaction.
"I was not given a better option. Either I marry him or kiss my company good bye," I said. "Wow, your grand father really knows how to spoil things for you. But I think he is right. It's high time you get married. You are no longer a child, Fiona. I think it's high time you get married and fall in love."
"What's good about love?" I said, almost crying. "This," Berry said, showing me her ring finger. "Celab proposed to me last week, and we are getting married soon, and it's all because of love," Berry stated, and I nodded in response.
"I'm going to have dinner with Celab, and I'm not sure I will come back home till tomorrow morning, so take care of yourself, and make sure to eat on time. And it's not right for a CEO to dress in sexy clothes all the time, so wear a suit tomorrow, OK?" she said. Then she stood up, hugged me, and left the office.
BERRY POV
A young handsome man was sitting in a fancy, well-decorated restaurant, and it was Celab, Berry's fiance.
"Hey, Berry," he said, smiling as she sat opposite him. "I hope I didn't make you wait for too long," Berry said. "Not at all," Celab replied. "OK. I have started arranging a wedding gown from the company where I work. It's beautiful, and I would like for you to check it out," Berry stated.
"About that," Celab interrupted. "About what?" Berry interrupted him. "The wedding. It won't happen," Celab said, dropping the bomb. "You are not serious, or are you?" Berry exclaimed, looking confused.
