Chapter 1 The Beginning

Amidst the heavens, stood an enormous white cloud with a mysterious man standing on it, watching the life elements below. He wore a black hooded robe and a mask covered his face leaving a pair of enchanting red eyes. The wind gushed vigorously, swaying his robe to and fro but the guy looked oblivious to the howling winds.

Suddenly, another man mysteriously appeared beside the black hooded man and said, "What do you think if we take action?"

"Taking action now will mean we're afraid of them. Let's first watch their moves and keep an eye on her," replied the man, his red eyes glimmering with something mysterious.

"Affirmative. I'll take my leave now," and with that, the man vanished.

In a pitch dark forest, far beyond the roads and the city lay a village filled with werewolves residing in huts. The sun had already set, the forest was already filled with a light set from fire. The forest was quiet with the occasional telling of stories and the children playing around the fire when suddenly a woman screamed from one of the huts.

"Aah!" she screamed in pain. A man dressed in a robe rapidly rushed inside the hut and found the lady holding her bulged tummy.

"Honey, what's wrong? Where does it hurt?" he panicked, holding his wife gently. The woman who seemed to be her wife just kept on breathing in pain as she held her tummy.

Within a few minutes, a couple of women entered the hut, chasing the man out. Soon as the man left, a couple of screams of labour were heard as the two women urged her to push harder.

"Push harder, the baby is about to come out."

An hour later of toiling, cute screams of a wailing newborn were heard. The mother sweater profusely as she exhaustedly leaned on the bed. The two women helped her clean up and wrapped her baby in a large shawl.

"Hold the child for your wife, she's too tired," she said, handing the baby to its father. The father lovingly held his daughter who suddenly woke up, revealing a pair of blue eyes with a golden fire tint in them. Its father was mesmerized by the eyes as he stared into them.

Lazily opening her eyes, the lady hoarsely spoke, " Let me have a look at her?"

The man handed the infant to his wife. The woman's eyes glinted happily as she looked at her baby. "She's so beautiful but her eyes are different," she spoke slightly worried.

"It's not a problem. As long she's one of us, everything will be ok,' assured her husband.

[Five years Later]

"Tyra, hurry so we can go visit grandma," gently urged a middle-aged woman. Her long black hair was tied into a bun.

"Ok, mama, " chirruped a five-year-old kid who had her hair tied in a long tail. The little child rapidly picked a small bouquet of daisies and trotted behind her mum. After half an hour walk, the mother-daughter duo entered a small hut where an old lady with white hair sat on a mat.

"Grandma I've bought you some flowers," giggled the little girl.

"My little T brought me flowers, wow grandma is happy," smiled the old lady, receiving the bouquet. She immediately embraced the little kid into her arms with watery eyes. The little girl also encircled her little arms around the old lady.

"Be good grandma. Don't be sad, I'm here," consoled the little girl. The mother and grandmother both laughed in joy. Later the little girl was sent by her mother out to play leaving the two elders. A brief silence followed as the atmosphere turned solemn.

"It will be the full moon in the next seven days," began the old woman.

"Yes, mother," solemnly replied the other lady. But her heart pumped with fear and worry.

"Don't worry, Yura. He won't find out as long as I'm alive," assured the old lady firmly.

The two ladies shared a grave secret that could kill them if anyone knew it, especially the alpha king.

The next full moon was where the older male wolves get to know their mates. Therefore the senior werewolves were to guide them as well as train the males to get stronger and protect the weaker ones.

Like air, time passed and finally, the D-day arrived. The night was still and peaceful, the night sky clear with the full moon shouting brightness. The first wolf ran who was the Alpha leader, ran into the forest till he reached an uprising boulder.

He howled loudly, summoning the other wolves who reached the spot. Together the wolves howled loudly in harmony. Meanwhile, in the sky flayed two silhouettes, their auras dangerous and strong.

"So she gave birth. But she isn't a wolf, how could she ignore it?" mocked one of the silhouettes.

"I think the child isn't in the pack. Perhaps she hid her," thought out the other silhouette.

"Of course. How could she bear to watch her blood killed? We shall how long she can keep her."

"The King needs us," suddenly informed the silhouette beside him later who vanished first.

Like an emperor watching his kingdom, he glared at the harmonious scene below, his eyes filled with bloodthirsty. However, he later vanished into thin air.

The ceremony of mate choosing took around two hours, those that got their mates most were happy as others left with neutral faces. A new leader of the pack was chosen to govern the village. All in all the ceremony ended peacefully as the wolves left for their village.

In one of the huts, a dim candle slowly burnt as a couple sat beside each other on a bed with a little girl peacefully sleeping on it. The man had his eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"How come I didn't sense her presence at the ceremony," asked the man, his gaze fixated at her wife's face.

Covering up the little girl to avoid her husband's piercing gaze she partially lied, " She accompanied her sick grandma."

My world revolved around Jax Harding, my older brother's captivating rockstar friend. From sixteen, I adored him; at eighteen, I clung to his casual promise: "When you're 22, maybe I'll settle down." That offhand comment became my life's beacon, guiding every choice, meticulously planning my twenty-second birthday as our destiny. But on that pivotal day in a Lower East Side bar, clutching my gift, my dream exploded. I overheard Jax' s cold voice: "Can't believe Savvy's showing up. She' s still hung up on that stupid thing I said." Then the crushing plot: "We' re gonna tell Savvy I' m engaged to Chloe, maybe even hint she' s pregnant. That should scare her off." My gift, my future, slipped from my numb fingers. I fled into the cold New York rain, devastated by betrayal. Later, Jax introduced Chloe as his "fiancée" while his bandmates mocked my "adorable crush"-he did nothing. As an art installation fell, he saved Chloe, abandoning me to severe injury. In the hospital, he came for "damage control," then shockingly shoved me into a fountain, leaving me to bleed, calling me a "jealous psycho." I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
