A young couple lived happily and in love . Things took a terrible turn when James found out his wife , Sarah was having an illicit affair with another man . James was left with a decision to make .
Chapter 1 A quick blossom
In the quiet suburbia where Sarah and James had built their life, a shadow loomed over their seemingly perfect marriage. James, a diligent accountant, trusted his wife implicitly as he immersed himself in the demands of his career. Sarah, an art curator with a penchant for secrecy, found herself entangled in a forbidden affair that threatened to unravel the very fabric of their union.
Sara had grown fond of the constant passes and eye gestures Eric had been making at her for the past weeks at the library where she usually went to read and have her research done for her Art works . Sara would usually smile and look away .
On a rainy day, Sara waited quite a while for the rain to subside so she could walk back home The library was almost empty, raindrops pounding the roof , the sound of thunder kept Sara quite startled at intervals. She closed the book she was reading and wrapped her arms around herself as if she was cold . Eric approached her from the opposite aisle with a cardigan made of fur in his hand . Their eyes met and she signaled to him that she was ok . Eric smiled back and quickly insisted she takes the cardigan as she was obviously cold . That was the first time she had heard him speak audibly. Eric's masculine voice reechoed in her ears , she blushed . As Eric turned to leave her , she quickly held him back and said "thank you "
Eric nodded in acceptance while he slowly walked away . Sara looked on and admired his masculine physique. An hour later the pounding on the roof had slowed ,the
wind quite calm , sounds of birds chirping
on the trees outside the building.Sara walked through the quiet aisle headed for the door . She needed to get home before the rains came down again. The weather seemed quite threatening yet she needed to get home . It was getting late and James would be home in a moment . As she walked down the stairs of the library, a voice came from behind calling her name , she turned to the door and there he was again. He offered to walk her home which she vehemently refused. Eric insisted while they both stood at the foot end of the stairs and looked at each other . She turned to leave and Eric followed . They walked together and discussed their interests in books and arts .
hey both had similar interests and had a lot to talk about . They approached Sara's apartment where James's car was parked outside the house .
Sara waved Eric goodbye and walked away, he then took the next street to continue his walk home.
James was just stepping out of the shower when his beautiful wife walked in, "where have you been my love?" He inquired, Sara on the other hand responded with a blushing smile and walked into the laundry to get her partly drenched cloths off . Sara got into the shower
while she still continued her conversation with James . He narrated how his day at work had been . They had a good chat and laugh over dinner then James went into the study to continue his work for the day while Sara sat alone at the fireplace with Lilly her little puppy
catching some warmth . The night grew and Sara retired to bed , leaving her husband in the study to wallow in the several books and workload he'd got himself . Sara was used to sleeping alone, she didn't seem happy about that but that's the situation she had to endure . She only had her husband's attention for a short moment before he retires to his books .
