Living with the devil

As the woman continued to slander her name, Lara stood quietly at a corner as she tried not to catch people's attention. As a working model, her agency provided her with everything including transportation. And now she thought of it, she would also have to leave the condo which was provided by her agency at the heights estate which was one of the most expensive estates in California. Unfortunately, an anti fan noticed her her dressing was too catchy and anyone who knew her would recognize her style.

"She's the model in that awful scandal", the young woman pointed at her and people's phone camera began to click.

"She's not even ashamed to show her face in public".

Lara overheard two women gossiping and that made scared. What if the passengers mug her. One time, she was almost stampede by a crowd of fans who violently wanted her autograph. The thought of it brought back the fear of the incident. She could feel her air go tight, then her sight began to blur. The images of people jabbing at her trying to tear her apart flashed through her head.

"Are you okay?" A guy asked holding her from falling.

As the clicks of the flash cameras increased, Lara tried to hide her face but she was already surrounded. Luckily, the train reach a station and she rushed out of the train. Yet some passengers rushed after her then it dawned to her that the passengers weren't just passengers but reporters.

"Is it true, Lara. You had a man under your success."

"Did you work your way into the industry?".

"Is it true you seduced your way into getting awards?".

"Stop, please I beg you please". Lara said and squatted at the center of the reporters who kept attacking her with questions.

When she noticed they won't stop and no one was coming to her recuse she collapsed yet the didn't stop taking pictures of her.

"What is wrong with you people?. Get away from her!." Someone yelled clearing a way as he dived into the crowd and carried Lara away from the subway.

Sky was a childhood friend who cared about Lara. He couldn't bear to see her hurt or cry. When he saw the news about her scandal he rushed down to California leaving his business at England. He was hurt that she had suffered and he wasn't early enough to protect her.

"S-stop", Lara stuttered as she tried to open her eyes.

"Lara." Sky called out with concern evident in his voice.

"Sky". Lara sadly said as her eyes flung open.

"I'm sorry. I was fast enough to protect you. I'm sorry that I left you here to pursue my selfish ambition. I...".

"Enough sky. You have a life at England. Stop trying to prey into my life. Drop me off, I will walk back to my apartment," Lara harshly said with embarrassment mask on her face. She was always grateful to sky but she was just a burden to his life. He had a fiancée who cared about him yet he came down here to protect her. What would that make her? People would call her a shameless slut if they saw her with sky. Plus she doubts his fiancée would be happy to find out he was with another woman.

"I can't do that Lara. You know I care about you...".

"That's the problem with you. Can't you see I'm a burden. I only pull you back when you have a bright future. What would your fiancée think if she saw us. I don't need your help anymore. If you want me to accept you, give me space to grow by myself so that I can stand beside you," Lara calmly said before exiting the car.

Sky was a true friend to her but she can't depend on him all the time. There was a time she loved him but he was already with someone else. if she had told him about her feelings then, he would have resented her.

she walked aimlessly to wherever her legs took her and felt deeply wounded by her friend's betrayal. This was not the kind of life she optioned for and wished everything was just a dream.

however, that was not the same story for Melinda. she was currently being slammed by an old baldly who promised to give fame if she became his mistress.

"Ah, you are so cold sir. I can't believe you are so strong," she lied. if not for his money, she would have shamed him for his incompetency in satisfying a woman. Melinda felt more disgusted by the fact that she was being screwed by him.

Melinda moaned as he caused her pain and pleasure at the same time. This way her way of getting to the top. She would do whatever it takes just to be better than Lara even if it means her losing her most precious thing. A world without money and fame was dead to her and this desperate baboon was going to give her that world of luxury.

"Ahhh, I want more", she screamed as if he was doing any job on her. 'This is so pathetic' she said inwardly as she endured the disgusting thrusts the man did inside her cunt.

"Sir," a knock sounded at their door making them stop their immorality. "Your wife has returned", the messenger informed them.

"That bitch is back my sweet, get dress so that we can have dinner together. I cannot wait to taste you all night," he muttered, giving her breasts a final stroke before he pulled up his pants.

"You should stay, I am sure your wife won't mind. we can tell her that you were having an important meeting. She will not mind but we have to make sure that we don't make loud noises", she giggled seductively just to keep him from leaving her bedroom.

"I would have love to but my children will be around. So this is the end of our meeting for now", he said and she cussed within her mind. Melinda's plan was to have him wrapped around her palm and she was going to do it, no matter what it takes.
