Chapter 1 Grandma sickness

RING!!!!!

This is not a drill, The sound is neither a ringing phone nor a fire alarm from a burning apartment, but an alarm clock sitted on a wooden cabinet beside a regular 54" x 74" bed, painted all blue, the room has several posters of Pitzer College, musical artistes and inspirational talks. Ringing more than a minute now and seems no one is annoyed with the sound already and it keeps ringing for another 30 seconds, then finally a fair complex hand came from the end of the bed, like a zombie crawling out from its grave, searching for the exact position of the alarm to keep it shut of it ringing. Finally off, the whole surrounding felt calm for a moment, then a sudden wolly sound came from beneath the bed cloth, like that of an ancient mummy being awaken. A blonde girl rose from bed, looking tired with her sleeping mask closing her right side eye like a pirate eye patch.

"Ahhhhh-hhhhaa, it's morning Samantha" talking to herself as she got up from bed

"Hmmmmm, 7:20 already" as she looked at the the time on her smartphone, then a sudden change in expression clocked in as she realized her shift was in 30 minute time though work start at 8 am exactly, but she has to get to work 10 minute before her shift to know what's new and get in the morning gossip with her co-workers, as it's a traditional thing.

She zoomed into the rest home as she got prepared for her day, tunned in the radio to catch the early news but got distracted the moment she heard a soft music intro, she paused a minute to listen and turned out it be Diamond by Rihanna, good enough for her as she hummed along and got out all clean with a towel wrapped around her. Now it's a battle on what to put on to work, she would normally take her time in selecting something hot as her job requires it; she works in a fancy hotel, one of the best in town, she went for the first sleek short gown she saw in the wardrobe almost heading out then she felt a sudden piece missing in her daily routine as she haven't heard her lovely grandmother call out to her for breakfast

"Mama Mia" she called out the first time, no response. She called her grandma more and still no response, she became worried and head straight to the sitting room, she picked a drown coloured jacket and hurriedly wore before she got down the stairs, Samantha knew her grandma would sit her down for a gospel talk on why dressing in such style, she got to the sitting room and grandma Mia wasn't in, She checked the kitchen and still could not find her.

"Where could she be ?" Samantha asked herself, wearing the face of an investigator who just got to a crime scene. "Oh God !" she exclaimed, with a sudden realization that grandma Mia informed her yesterday night that she would be meeting with her doctor very early.

"How forgetful of me, about time I start going" she said to herself dragging the window curtain a bit to check what the atmosphere is giving and also checking out for a perverted neighbors who would always stare at her with a face openly saying " shawty, you'll look more beautiful on my bed when I hit it soft on yer", she could not blame them as she could not blame God for making a beautiful woman, with both attributes a man would would feel comfort when he gets his hand on, nice body shape with good looking tits.

Inhaling in the zero cost oxygen around her, with a smile and exhaled out calming herself with the thought of not doing anything stupid but walk out that door and pretend not seeing the neighbors except for the elderly ones who would sit outside, listening to their favourite station while having a good morning tea on their balcony.

Stepping out of their standard bungalow apartment, she looked at the building surrounding as the flowers were looking blissful and the cloudy weather gave way for the morning sun to bless them.

"What a beautiful morning this is, at least I get to enjoy the view and beauty of nature before a miserable day at work" she gave a big sigh and walked down the street to catch a taxi. The community felt calm, not as if anything superb do happen daily but just felt too calm like everyone was missing, she likes not being noticed by the boys around cause they all are scumbags looking for ways to steal her of her dignity as a lady and let go of her like a loose chain. Already at the busy road of LA, the noisy city with cars' pipes exhausts mixing with the atmospheric air, one good enough to make one vomit as it mixes with the cold air and street bins.

"Taxi" calling out as she stretched her hand toward one approaching the stop where she was, she got in, and told the cab man to head for Vegas Hotel ( The exclusive ). The look on the man's face was all straight and calm as he replied

"Yes ma" with a smile on his face and a slight bow

Samantha smiled and sat back feeling comfy. Looking out the window as the cab laid in a smooth ride with the radio playing an R&b sound, one to set the mood lively. She couldn't but notice her grandma mart as the cab took a side turn to the left. Samantha suddenly looked worried, letting out a sigh of sudden discomfort. The mart has been closed for a while now, since her grandma's medical condition got critical, she could not quit her job cause the pay exceeded what her grandma made from the store monthly and she even doubled what she made sometimes. Few thought came onboard her mind but all was money involved, she once had the thought of rebranding the old mart to something new, something to drive in money fast; one fast enough to let her save enough to get the shop running and pay her grandma medical bills once but what was at hand can't reconstruct the mart cause it's been old nor could it pay 70% of her grandma medical expenses. Working overtime only added little to the pay, God !!!!!, she exclaimed, giving her coat a tight grip one hard enough to squeeze a soft boiled potato.

"Save me from this hell, oh Lord." She cried within herself as she rested her head against the cab glass. At the moment she almost questioned God but remembered what grandma always says in such circumstances

"For I know HE saved Moses and Jesus from the hands of the heartless soldiers, HE is always with those HE love, and he loves you, my dear Samantha" more like grandma was with her in the cab but it was all in her mind.

"We're here ma" the cab driver said as the cab parked.

"Oh, thank you. Here is your pay sir" She said as she stepped out of the cab.

Still trying to picture her day in hell as she looked up at the VEGAS EXCLUSIVE signage, something caught her attention as she slowly brought down her head, someone in the distance, waving both hands in the air like a pickup guy at an airport

"Samantha !!!!!!" the distant person yelled out, as both hands were still on the air

Samantha, still trying to see who was calling after her as the hotel water fountain sprang up while crossing. "Oh !!! Natty" she yelled out to him as she approached nearer. Natty is one we call a gay, the oldest worker here at Vegas. Seems like I'm already late by a minute as I'm to report to my post before Natty checked out.

"Good morning, Natty you look nattier than you do, lemme guess yesterday was a house full" Samantha asked him as she noticed his pale face.

"Yesterday was actually a house full but I'm not feeling so good, I've to be at the hospital asap, I feel like I'm being shaked hard like a cocktail being mixed." Natty replied to her with a down face.

"Sorry about that Natty" replying with sympathy all over her face.

"Can you do me a favour and fill my space tonight after your shift, please ? I will make it up to you Samantha." Natty begged as he groaned in pain.

"I don't know Natty, I also want to see my grandma after her visit from the hospital...." She said replying to Natty's request but with a sudden pause as she thought of something ; why not help him and I have the whole of tomorrow to myself and spend it with grandma, something good to take me off my boss stress and this hell.

"You know what Natty, sure, no problem I'll but just know you're working all of tomorrow also" she continued from her previous pause to her reply towards Natty.

"You're such a good heart dear, thanks alot" Natty replied as he hugged her and caught a cab to halt. "See you soon lovely"

Samantha took a turn but noticed someone at the car park, "Oh shit, it's Michael". She said,

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ “I want to get a divorce, Mark,” I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time—even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
