Love is described as a magnificent painting, where vibrant and warm colors radiate from enamored gazes, sweet smiles, and whispered endearments. It holds the power to transform dull days into vivid ones and creates a delicate connection between two souls. Like two sides of a coin, love and hatred are contrasting states of the soul, weaving a rich and alluring psychological tapestry in human life.

Chapter 1 Begin.

The winter in France is very cold, with heavy snow falling outside. Naice Williams is wrapped up in a white fur coat, her blonde hair shimmering with white snowflakes, making her look like a teddy bear wandering in the sky.

The weather is freezing, and Naice's rosy cheeks and hands are gradually getting stiff and red. She clasps her hands together and blows warm air into them. Naice walks straight ahead, glancing at the colorful signs above.

Finally, she arrives, and a satisfied smile appears on Naice's face as she pushes open the warm glass door, feeling the warmth enveloping her body, bringing her a sense of excitement and comfort.

"Naice, we're here!"

Kaite stands up and waves her hand. Inside the crowded bar, Kaite is petite, her white slender hands waving in the air, painted nails shining in red.

Naice hurries over, taking off her scarf, and smiles.

"Long time no see, are you all doing well?"

The group consists of four people, all with American nationality, but three of them work in France. Only Naice came to France because she was nominated by a large company to discuss and sign a cooperation contract.

Naice has a beautiful smile, and there's even a dimple on her cheek when she smiles, making her look lovable and charming.

Ali pulls Naice's hand, "Sit down, have a drink to warm up, it's very cold outside."

Naice smiles, "Slow down! Don't you have a girlfriend here? Where is she?"

Ali rolls his eyes, "Why should we invite her to our gathering?"

Erica sitting next to Ali joins in, "He's so careful with his girlfriend. We haven't even met her in person yet."

Ali can only smile at that. On his social media page, there's only a picture of a girl taken from behind, her curly hair and well-proportioned figure leaning against the railing with the city lights shining brightly in front of her. The photo is very beautiful.

Kaite looks at Ali with a hint of melancholy and pretends to be in a sad mood, "Well, she's taken, and you guys are still single! Don't you feel pitiful?"

Kaite tries to cheer up, raising her glass high, "Come on! Cheers to the day we can meet again. Bottoms up!"

All four raise their glasses and drink, enjoying a cheerful conversation about life, work, and the past.

As the wine runs out, they gradually refill the empty bottles. Erica starts to speak nonsense, accusing the heartless boss of oppressing his subordinates to the point of despair. She wants to go back to the US and keeps saying she'll go back with Naice.

Naice presses her lips together, "You've worked so hard to be promoted to director, something many people dream of. If you give up halfway, you'll lose everything. Don't act impulsively; you should think carefully."

Erica grumbles, "Take me back with you, go back with you."

Kaite shakes her head and stands up, pulling Erica up with her, "Alright, I'll take you home."

"I want to be with Naice, be with Naice."

Kaite's voice raised a bit in annoyance, "You just got settled here after going through eight layers of skin, and now you want to get scraped off another ten layers? No way, you're staying here."

Kaite has a strong personality, and her black leather jacket adds to her masculine appearance. After Ali finishes paying the bill, he turns to ask, "Can you take Erica home? Or should I take both of you home? You've had quite a bit to drink!"

Kaite glances at him, "Of course, go ahead and take Naice home, I'll go."

After saying that, Kaite hugs Erica and leads her out. Ali looks at Naice and says, "Which hotel are you staying at? I'll take you home."

Naice shakes her head, smiling, "It's just two streets away, you go back, I want to walk home."

"Alright." Before Naice can say anything, she is suddenly pulled into a small alley. Her back hits the wall, and a pair of lips suddenly rush towards her, bringing a wave of warmth. Startled, she opens her eyes wide, trying to push the man away, but she can't push him away completely, only making murmuring sounds of resistance from her throat.

"He ran this way, damn it, we'll be screwed if we lose him."

The man shouts, and the chaotic sound of footsteps running on the snow echoes.

Naice's eyes widen, and she remains silent.

She only hears one sentence, "Boss, he's lost the trail." Followed by a burst of furious cursing, two minutes later, everything returns to silence as if nothing happened.

Naice bites her teeth hard, and the man's lips immediately start to bleed, but he doesn't move. She pushes him hard and his strong figure seems to disappear, as if he vanishes, and then he falls back against the wall behind him.

Naice's hands are floating in the air, how can she have such strength? She suspiciously looks down at her hands, which are now covered in red, all blood. Naice panics and picks up her phone to call for help, but suddenly the man's hot, trembling hand grabs her wrist.

"Don't call for help."

His voice is weak but extremely charming, as if his words could enchant others with just a few sentences.

Naice bends down, looking at the man's hand gripping her wrist tightly. She doesn't know what to do, fearing that if he dies here, she will be implicated.

Yes, she needs to call an ambulance. Naice shakily takes out her phone, but suddenly her trembling hand, hot and feverish, is grabbed by the man.

"Don't call," his voice is weak, but the tone is seductive, as if a few more words could enchant anyone who listens.

Naice frowns, not answering, and his other hand begins to loosen its grip on her wrist. The night is cold, Naice's hand feels icy, but the man's hand is strangely warm.

Or is he running a fever? He still has a bleeding wound on his body.
