Chapter 1 1

I'm awkward. I was in the workspace of my Boss, Hyung Woo. Staring at him closely and seeing him seriously read the report's results through glasses that made him look even more handsome, I couldn't help myself; my body was shaking, and it seemed like I was having an erection.

I braced myself to remain formal and respond to every question he would ask me.

"What made you come, Lilith?"

One question from him that surprised me also made me immediately lose the illusion.

"You have a schedule with FH trading tomorrow morning and another executive meeting, sir."

His eyes stare at me. He's a handsome man with a perfect posture. I squeezed tightly into my short skirt, holding back the intense stimulation. To shift my focus to this stimulus, I spoke again.

"Representatives from commerce would like you to join them for dinner, sir."

He removed the cigarette butt from his lips and said, "Just arrange it later."

My face flushed, and I clutched my short skirt tighter. "All right, sir."

I bowed to ask permission to leave his room. "I'm done, sir."

"Miss Lilith, you have a moment," he said, making me turn to look at him.

"Yes, sir. Do you need anything else?" I asked, confused.

He put the cigarette butt in the ashtray and spoke back to me with a stern look.

"I want you to clear your schedule tonight."

My face was getting flushed, and my bottom was wet. I had reached the peak of my erection. I lowered my face, embarrassed.

"Could you do that for me, Miss Lilith?"

I returned to find peace and tried to smile a little.

"O-of course, I'll clear my schedule, sir."

I said, "He has used that title since our unexpected night meeting."

"You may go, Miss Lilith,"

I bowed slightly and said goodbye, then left.

Rushing to the toilet, I tried to stay calm and took a deep breath.

"Haa.. It's been three months. I never thought my life would turn out like this.."

I closed my eyes slowly and felt my face heat and body temperature rise.

Three months ago.

Be in the bar. I'm trying to forget my Boss and get a date tonight. I sat among the customers and caught one of the men's attention.

Until someone tapped me on the shoulder...

"Hey, you have a partner tonight?"

"No, I haven't been."

The big man's hand was beside me, holding my waist. It's easy to get partners in a place like this.

"That's good.. Do you mind if I join you?"

"If allowed, I want to give you a drink."

The smile of the man beside me looks very much like my Boss. It slightly raised my body temperature.

"Yes, of course. I permit you to sit here."

I smiled, allowing him to join me, maybe because his face slightly resembled my Boss.

"Good. I'll order a drink now."

I propped my chin up, looking at the man beside me closer. His face is very similar to my Boss's. Now my face has become very red.

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
