Anonymous: Dawn Of The Unknown. Chapter 1 A chance encounter

'ugh, my head hurts'

grumbled a tall, light skinned man with long blonde hair, who was probably in his early twenties, As he struggled to stand up from the pile of burnt objects that had pinned him firmly to the ground.

As he continued to struggle with the pile of burnt objects on him he got a cut from one of them and yelled in pain but as he took a closer look he noticed the wound healing up and in few seconds it no longer hurt.

finally he was able to get up from the pile of burnt objects but was nothing compared to the predicament he faced next infact he began wishing he never got up from the pile. 'where am I?' he asked himself,

'who am I?'

he asked with an even more disturbing look on his face. He began wondering how he came into existence, his mind travelled far and wide but there was no answer. He thought for minutes before he had another head ache but this time even more painful than the last, it hurt him so bad he held his head and began to scream suddenly he had a flash of memory it only lasted for a few seconds and the only thing he was able to grasp from it was the word anonymous.

He became so curious about the word and then thought it was his name but he was still not contented with it he wanted to know more about himself and why the word anonymous was in his head.

He finally decided to take a walk round the place probably he could find some answers concerning how he came to be or who he is. Looking round he was discouraged about finding anything because the whole place was a ruin.

Alas he decided to leave the place because it was driving him crazy. He headed south and after a long walk through a forest that was partly Burnt while the rest of it was drying up. Finally he got out of the forest only to meet and even more disturbing situation. He was in the big city and he did not know where to go neither did he even know where he was or what he was seeing.

There were people like him every were though some of them looked odd to him because they where women and he obviously did not know what men or women were so he go a bit frightened by them. After a ten minute work in the big city of New York he noticed that everyone's attention was all on him and that was because he was naked.

He stopped working and took a good look at himself and then look at the people looking at him and murmuring to each other, he did not seem to notice anything different between the people around him and himself except they all had weird stuffs on them, he did not know why they had to carry the extra weight of the stuffs they had on their clothes, he could not remember anything so he did not understand that the people were wearing clothes and the fact that humans have to wear clothes.

Soon can crowd of people started to grow and everyone has their phones up videoing the whole seen, it wasn't long before the cops showed up.

' exquise me ma'am, exquise me, move aside people'

an officer said loudly and a bit authoritatively as he squeezed his way through the crowd of of people surrounding him(anonymous).

'Hey sir, where why are you not wearing clothes?'

the officer asked

'don't you know it a public show of nudity is a punishable offence by the law?'

the officer asked him(anonymous) not allowing him answer the first question,

'ummm, sir I don't know what you say'

anonymous said as he tried to reply the officer with the best of his intellect,

'you will have to come with me to the station'

the officer said now handcuffing him(anonymous), though he did not want to go with the officer he also did not want to stay back and watch the people look and take pictures of him.

Few minutes later they arrived at the station and after they walked the the officer took him to meet another officer and once again he attracted the attention of everyone in the station.

The officers have him cloths to put on but he did not know what they were neither did he know how to use them so he just stared at them curiously, the officers eventually had to help him put on the cloths and then their interrogation started.

'sir, can you tell us you name?'

one of the officer asked,

' ummm... I think it's anonymous',

'are you joking with us? We are being serious here' another officer said already getting pissed at him(anonymous),

'well, I don't know who I am, I just remember waking up in a ruin and coming here'

he(Anonymous) replyed the officer as he started sobbing, being unable to remember anything really made him sad.

Among the people there was Emma Anderson a newly married woman who just moved to New York city with her husband to start a family, she was a few inches lesser than him(anonymous) in height, she was light in complection and she had brown hair and brown eyes.

She saw his(anonymous) predicament and decided to help him out. By the time Emma got there the officers were just asking him(anonymous) if he had any relatives and yet once again he could not fully understand them so Emma pretended to know him and lied he was her brother just do the officers would let him go.

After she faked up some evidence the officers let them both go, after they were a few streets away from the police station she waved goodbye and left him but she noticed he was still following her and when she was getting close to her house she turned and tried to get him to go away but he pleaded with her that he had no where to go so she took pity on him and told him he could stay for the night at her place. Few minutes after they got in her husband came in and that's when......

I stood at my mother's open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest's voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone-he brought Charla with him. He claimed she'd had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

My bank account showed exactly $42.18, and my student loan notifications were flashing red. I lived in a sweltering Queens apartment with my Aunt Lydia, where the air was thick with the smell of stale frying oil and the constant threat of being homeless. Lydia handed me a grainy photo of a man twice my age and told me she had already "sold" me to him. He was a dry cleaner looking for a wife, and in exchange for my hand, he would pay off her credit cards and my debt. If I didn't show up for the date that night, my boxes would be on the curb by midnight. I arrived at the cafe in a state of panic, my selective mutism making it impossible to even breathe. In the crowded room, I accidentally sat at the wrong table. Instead of the man from the photo, I found myself facing Gerhard Holcomb—the cold, terrifyingly handsome billionaire whose family owned the very museum where I worked. He didn't send me away; instead, he studied my trembling hands and offered me a different deal: a two-year contract marriage, a two-million-dollar payout, and a strict clause forbidding any children. I signed the papers and moved into his Park Avenue penthouse, thinking I was finally safe. But when I went back to the old apartment to retrieve the only memento of my dead parents, Lydia lashed out, leaving me bleeding from a head wound. Gerhard’s retaliation was absolute—he had her arrested and her building foreclosed on within hours, claiming he was simply "protecting his assets." As I recovered in his silent, glass-walled home, I saw a call from a famous socialite flash on his phone, and a cold truth settled in my gut. I wasn't just a wife; I was a placeholder, a silent shield used to fend off the women from his past. I looked at the massive pink diamond on my finger and realized the silence I had lived in my whole life was about to become my most expensive prison. I had traded a life of poverty for a high-stakes game of shadows, and now I had to survive the man who claimed to own me.

I arrived at the hotel with Julian's favorite takeout, ready to surprise my fiancé before our big merger. But the moment I swiped the keycard, the silence of the hallway felt heavy and wrong. Inside, a red-soled stiletto lay on the marble floor-the same one I'd watched my best friend Lila try on at Saks last week. Through the cracked bedroom door, I watched Julian's back arch as Lila looked me straight in the eye and smiled, wrapping her legs tighter around him to mock my heartbreak. I fled to the penthouse to hide, only to find Grafton, Julian's "crippled" brother, waiting in the dark. To my horror, the man who was supposed to be paralyzed stood up from his wheelchair, gripped my chin with cold fingers, and forced me to sign a contract that gave him control of my family's shares. He knew about my mother's secret medical bills and used them to buy my silence, effectively turning my life into a calculated game of corporate chess. The betrayal tasted like acid, and the injustice of it all burned in my throat. My fiancé was a liar, my best friend was a thief, and the man now controlling my fate was a predator who had been faking his disability for years. I couldn't understand how everyone I trusted had turned out to be a monster. I was trapped between a man who cheated on me and a man who wanted to own me, with no way out and no one to turn to. But when Julian came looking for me, Grafton didn't hide; he stood tall, looming over me with a possessive glint in his eyes. "Help me destroy Julian," I rasped, realizing that to survive the Faulkner men, I had to become the most dangerous player of them all.

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
