Chapter 1 1

"Why didn't you tell me you were not interested in me from the start? Why did you lead me on and make me fall for you, only to cruelly shatter my heart like this? Why?" the short, silver-haired woman with a petite figure asks in heartbreak, her body trembling as the restrained tears flooding her eyes, finally got freedom.

The black-haired, tall, handsome man standing before her smiled evilly, putting his hands around the voluptuous waist of a red-haired beauty, "Mph! I'm just after your money. Now when you die, I'll get what I want and also," he looked at the beauty he's holding, "I got something excellent- a darling beauty, and a child,"

The sad woman gasped at the revelation, her eyes wide open, "Annette, you're pregnant for him?"

"Silly, our child is old enough to go to school. We're simply securing a future for our heir," the red-haired Annette let out mocking mirth.

The silver-haired lady nodded her head sagely, "You pair of a cunning man and crafty bitch are well-suited for each other. I'll jump down as you want. But, I won't be the only one going down," she laughed bitterly, pulling out a gun from behind. On seeing the weapon, the duo backed away in fear.

"You've poisoned me, whether I jump or not, I have no way out, other than to go to the gates of hell. I don't want to be lonely. So, accompany me!" she spat, releasing bullets at the two who tried to flee. Unfortunately, the man got hit at the waist.

"Anette, save me!" he cried out in pain.

"You're on your own! Don't worry, I'll still find a way to claim the riches meant for us and take good care of our son and unborn child, alright?" With that the traitorous woman ran forward, leaving the man distraught.

The silver-haired lady walked forward until she stood before him, wearing an expressionless face, her tears nowhere to be found, "How do you like my gift?" she asked with a grin that didn't sit well with him at all.

"Jasmine... Jasmine... I was just kidding. Now you see her reaction... I can work with you to take that Annette down. I'm wrong to fall for that bitch! I... I... I'm sure she gave me a love potion. Hahaha, I'm sure of it. Now its effects are gone... Jasmine... Jasmine, please..." he frantically begged.

She wore a contemplating look, creasing her eyebrows, "I should spare you?" she asked and he desperately nodded his concurrence.

She glowered, "But I told you I don't want to be alone on my way to hell. You can wait for me at the gates of hell. Annette and I, are coming soon. Bye, Brian. Have a fun trip!" with that, she shot him twice in the chest and he slumped to the ground, lifeless.

She looked at the tip of her gun, "One down. Now what's left? Oh, dear Annette! Thankfully, I put a tracker on her. There's nowhere she can hide from me in this forest," she started running, increasing her pace until she got to where Annette was hiding in fear.

She stood behind the apprehensive red-haired woman, under a large oak tree as the latter frantically looked ahead, in case the one she dreaded was still after her. Seeing that no one was coming after a while, she sighed in relief, thinking that those two must be dead and so, with new-found confidence, she turned around, only to yelp and fall to the ground on her butt. Even so, she still subconsciously retreated with Jasmine slowly moving forward with the frightened woman's pace.

Eventually, the redhead resorted to kneeling and pressing her palms together to beg the enraged woman, "Ja-Jas... Jasmine... please... Don't kill me. Y-You know I'm your best friend,"

"Yeah," Jasmine nodded, "you are indeed my bestie whom I trusted, while you betrayed me without even batting an eyelid. You were actively f*cking my man behind my back and even had a kid for him. So the one year you spent on vacation at SlingStone country was a lie. You went there to give birth, didn't you? I'm really a fool not to have found out sooner. Brian is on his way to hell. I bet he can't reach the gate without your company, "Jasmine smirked as she put the gun to her head, "Why don't you join him? I'll be coming too, very soon!"

"No... No! Please... Jasmine..."

"Too noisy!" Jasmine pulled the trigger.

Pow!

Went the bullet into Annette's head, and she fell to the ground, lifeless, blood oozing greatly from her head, her eyes and mouth wide open with disbelief.

Now with those two finally dead, Jasmine's knees gave and however she tried to stand up, she just couldn't. Her being so active only sped up the poison. Several black veins had become present on her pretty face down to her hands and blood flowed from her mouth. She slowly looked upwards with a melancholic expression..

"Well, I guess I can't cheat death," she smiled bitterly before closing her eyes and slumping to the ground, unconscious.

Jasmine opened her eyes slowly, trying to register the unfamiliar place and scent in the air. Realizing she was in an unknown place, she quickly sat up on the bed and looked around the lavishly furnished room. Most of the things in it were pink- her most hated colour. Who brought her in here? Was it the one who saved her? Where was the person then?

She propelled her body to get off the bed and put on the soft rabbit fur shoes on the floor. They felt velvety and comfy too. But this wasn't the time to praise vain things like this. She was about to rush over to the door when the room's door swung open, halting her in her tracks.

"Wha... Ah, my lady!" the petite brunette woman squealed in excitement and quickly rushed to her and knelt. "Thank the moon goddess, our mistress is finally awake," she said looking at the roof with gratefulness plastered all over her face.

Jasmine looked at the woman weirdly. What was wrong with her? Why was she calling her 'My Lady' and 'Mistress'? What's the mystery?

"Um... lady... What's your name?" she couldn't help asking.

The woman looked at her, baffled but nonetheless still chuffed, "My lady, I'm Penelope, your personal maid,"

"Please, stop kneeling," It's embarrassing! She didn't say this last sentence out though.

"Thank you, my lady," Penelope rose.

Jasmine cocked her brows in befuddlement, "So, why are you referring to me with that title? My name's..."

"I know," the maid interrupted her.

"You know?"

"You are Princess Belinda," Penelope stated with confidence.

"What?" Jasmine blurted out in disbelief, "I'm not..." she looked at the mirror and screamed, frightening the maid.

Elodie took a deep breath and knocked, the sound echoing in the quiet corridor. A moment of silence passed, broken only by the pounding of her heart. Finally, the door snicked open, revealing a surprised Dashiell. 'Can't you see the Do Not Disturb sign? We don't want-' His initial frown quickly morphed into confusion at the sight of his wife. 'What are you doing here?' he demanded. 'Your girlfriend invited me,' Elodie replied, her voice laced with icy calm. She tried to peer past him, but his broad frame blocked the view. A saccharine voice chimed in from within the room. 'Elodie? Oh dear, we didn't mean for you to find out this way. It's just that-' Elodie cut her short. 'Oh please, Selene.
