Chapter 1 Background Information

The humans of this world know that wolfs live with them in the world. Only the werewolves know that there is another race besides the humans. There are two continents where one is occupied by humans while the other belongs to the werewolves. Most humans believe that since the discovery of werewolves about 100,000 years ago, werewolves have stayed on their continents without coming to the human side unless it was official events. They are unaware that werewolves live among them owning some of the most successful business in their society. The story takes place in the year of 3051 in the month of September.
According to wolf history, the color of a werewolf's shift form does not determine how powerful a wolf is, however in history most of the powerful wolves that went down in history is known to have red eyes. As a result, when a werepup has its first shift and it is discovered that they have red eyes, it is taken as a sign of the pup having immense power and is celebrated as wolves with red eyes are rare outside the royal family. It is thought that the darker the color of a werepup eyes after their first shift is proportionate to the power of the pup in question. Most werepups have their first shift between the ages 10 & 13. In some cases it can happen before and after those ages. If a shift happens before the age of 10, the werepup is expected to be strong. If it happens after 13, the pup is considered weak. This is something that is most often seen in halfwolves. Halfwolves are werewolves that are born from a werewolf and another race.
The Wolf Monarch system is set around the Alpha King and his direct family. He has a Beta who works under him and like a prime minister. In most case the beta was a playmate of the Alpha King and comes from a prominent family. The Beta can either be male or female. There is typically a specific family that were a beta comes from. If there is a valid reason the alpha can choose to have a beta from another family or bring in one from else where. If the Alpha wishes to take a bet from else where, the person has to prove he has what it takes to take up such a position. In order to have status in the werewolf community, you or your family must have important achievements either in the past or present. Similarly to European countries of the past, there is a class system. However commoners live a life similar to modern citizens and it is not impossible for a commoner to earn a noble rank.
Author's Note: Wolf and Werewolf are inter-changeable so please do not be confuse if I start with werewolf and switch to wolf throughout the story. Also This is not your typical werewolf story so be warned.
