Life is never fair, or should I say life has never been fair to me, is it the fact that my parents lost my life in an accident and I'm all alone or is it the fact that classmates consider me a weak person due to my weakness, there hasn't been a shred of luck in my life until that fateful day.
Damien's eyes flickered open to the harsh light of morning, his expression a mirror of the sadness that clouded his thoughts. Gazing at the ceiling, he couldn't escape the haunting memories of his parents, their absence like a relentless ache that refused to subside. A tear traced a path down his cheek as he wrestled with the mess his life had become.
Resignedly, he climbed out of bed, his steps heavy and reluctant, as if the weight of his past was physically holding him down. Preparing for school felt like going through the motions of a never-ending ordeal. "Another day of crap," he muttered under his breath. "Just please, not in front of her."
The mention of her, Bella, the one bright spot in his life since the sixth grade, drew a wistful sigh. Like the morning sun, she radiated beauty that warmed his heart even from a distance. "Maybe today she'll notice me," he mumbled, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
A cold shower numbed his senses, and he tugged on his school uniform with all the enthusiasm of a prisoner donning his uniform. The journey to school was a solitary one, his gaze drawn to the groups of friends walking together, sharing laughter and camaraderie. "Wish I had one of those," he sighed, the loneliness like a heavy cloak that clung to him.
Arriving during Mrs. Benson's English class, Damien's late entrance didn't go unnoticed. Her sharp inquiry and sly tricks were all part of the usual routine. Settling into his seat, he muttered, "What a way to start another miserable day," as he glanced out the window, daydreaming of escape.
Classes came and went in a blur, leading to the respite of lunchtime. The cafeteria loomed ahead, a pit of potential humiliation. "Psst, pssst," a venomous voice hissed. Jason, the tormentor, beckoned. With a heavy sigh, Damien approached, met with a swift blow that sent his lunch sprawling. Coughing and struggling for breath, he endured the ridicule and whispered cruelties that had become his constant companions.
Among the mocking voices, one cut through the din like a knife. Bella approached, and Damien's heart raced, but his hopes were dashed as she walked right past him, heading into Jason's arms with a kiss and jason squeezing her boobs like his life depended on it as bella lets out a light moan with damien making the most disgusting smile you could imagine. A gut-wrenching tableau of the unattainable. Damien's heart sank as Bella's laughter mingled with Jason's cruelty.
Tears welled in his eyes, not for the pain of Jason's fists, but for the emotional wounds that seemed to bleed without end. "Perfect punching bag," Jason sneered, and though Damien longed to refuse, the words caught in his throat. "Yes," he muttered, surrendering to the cycle of abuse.
In the haze of violence, Bella's words echoed like a relentless chant, more painful than any physical blow. As Jason's fists rained down, Damien's heart shattered, his tears mixing with the blood on the ground. "Die," her voice whispered, a betrayal that cut deeper than any knife.
The final bell rang, releasing him from the prison of his torment. Limping to his feet, he gathered his bag, stumbling out of the school. Mrs. Benson's disgusted gaze followed him, and his resolve crumbled further. "Why me?" he whimpered, his soul aching with the injustice of it all.
Lost in his thoughts, he walked blindly, stepping onto the road without realizing it. Only the shouts of passersby snapped his attention back, but the screeching tires came too late. The impact was swift, and as the world faded, Damien thought, "This is it."
A voice, foreign and powerful, resounded in his mind. "No."
And then, darkness claimed him.
