Chapter 1 Mia Anderson
Mia Anderson is a young girl. She is in her last year of high school. She is very smart and a good girl. She has red curly hair that reaches to her shoulders. She has hazel eyes and is a very shy girl. She only want to finish Hell (AKA school). She lives with here father after her parents got divorced her mom started to bring any man she found in their house so Mia decided to move in with her dad. They were so happy until one day her dad wanted to talk to her that's where her world turn up side down or at least that what she thought.
Mia POV:
I woke up with the thought of what my dad wanted to talk about. It must be a emergency because he is a very busy man. He is always on business trips or in the company. My father has a law firm office that keeps him busy most of the time, but this day he wanted to talk about something. I was thinking in what could it be. I heard my father shouting.
Dad- "Mia can you come to my office!"
Me- "Yes, dad I will be right there!"
I hurried and got ready for the day. I got ready and rushed to my father's office. I knocked on the door. "Come in!" He shouts from his desk. "You wanted to see me dad" I asked he nodded. "Please Mia take a seat" he says. I am not going to lie I felt nervous and I didn't even know why. I sat down across from him. "Mía thank you for coming. I wanted to tell you a very good news" he says.
"Do you remember Damon Miller my best friend" he says. I started thinking about Damon that name sounds familiar but I just can't remember his face. "Sorry dad I don't remember" I said. "Oh don't worry you were still small when you met him and you were crying to much when he left to remember his face, he left when he started college, but let's see if this will remind you" he says. I couldn't help think about this Damon guy. Fathers best friend. I just can't picture his face. I saw dad come back with my dog Bella. She is my dog since I can remember. "Dad what are you doing with Bella" I ask tapping my hand on my lap.
"Mia do you remember who gave you Bella?" He asked I nodded remembering Bella was a gift from Damon. "Ohh!!" I said surprised. I remembered Damon he was a young boy in that time. He met my father outside his law firm office I just wasn't told the hole story. "Yes" I shouted. I remember Damon.
"Well" dad said. "Well what dad" I asked "Well he is coming back here and he needs a place to stay so I offered our home" he says. "You did what" I shout. "Watch your tone young lady" he says. "Sorry dad, but you offered him to stay here" I asked he nodded. "Why dad" I add. "He just broke up with his girlfriend and doesn't have a place to stay. So I told him he could stay here. "Dad You can't do that" I say "ohh yes I can this is my house and my rules so you have to follow them and don't forget to make him feel welcome. My eyes sparkle at remembering Damon. He was a very sweet boy. What my dad doesn't know is that I had a little crush on him, but he never saw me as anything more than a little girl. His friend's daughter.
When he left to college he promised to write to me but he never did. I wrote to him every day with my dad's help but I never got an answer. Time passed and I stopped sending letters because I never got a response. I was listening to what my father was saying, but I was also remembering the time we spend together and the day he gave me Bella. She was a gift for my birthday. "He will be here tomorrow" he said. "Tomorrow" I shout standing from the chair. "Dad why are you tell me this now. Why didn't you tell me sooner" I say. "Sorry Mía I just have been so busy that I forgot but today he called me saying he will be here tomorrow.
"Mía please fix the guess room. He will be staying there" he says. I nodded and just had to ask. "Dad how long is he staying?". "I don't know Mia I told him he can stay as long as he wants, but he said he was going to look for a place to live" he says. I nodded and walked out of the office. I quickly went upstairs and fix the guess room. I added clean bed sheets soap and toilet paper in the guest bathroom. After I was finished I let my father know. "Dad the room is ready" I say. He nodded and thanks me. He was going to tell me something when his phone rang.
(Mike was busy with his computer so he had to put it on speaker)
Dad- Hello
Damon- Hello Mike it's Damon
Dad- Hey man I have everything ready for when you get here.
Damon- thank you so much man. I promise to stay only until I find a place.
Dad- no need man you can stay as long as you want.
I didn't know why but I just wanted to listen to their conversation. I just wanted to hear his voice. I just stood there trying to remember his voice.
Dad- Mia helped me with your room she is very excited to see you again
"Dad" I shouted. I just heard a laugh. "I am exited to see her too and I can't wait to see her" he said I don't know why his words send chills all over my body. I was so embarrassed by what my dad just said. "Dad stop it" I whisper. I know my cheeks were red. Then it hit me. He said he can't wait to see me. What on earth. How could he? When he didn't even answer one of my letters?
I finished talking to dad and went up to my room I had to call my best friend Carlie. She has been my best friend since I can remember. I laid on my bed and called her.
Carlie- Hello
Me- Hey Carlie guess what happened
Carlie- What!!
Me- Remember I told you my dad wanted to speak to me.
Carlie- Yes, remember what was it about?
Are you in trouble?
Did your dad found out about Matt?
Me- No Carlie I am not in trouble, and no he doesn't know about Matt. (Matt is my boyfriend)
Carlie- then what is it.
Me- Do you remember Damon Miller my father's best friend. She was silent for a minute.
Carlie- Ohh yes I think I remember, he gave you Bella right?
Me- Yes! Him well he is coming back and will be staying with us. Apparently he broke up with his girlfriend.
Carlie- omg really, I remember you drooling all over him.
Me- Carlie stop it. I have a boyfriend now.
Carlie- thats right Matt. I don't like him he doesn't deserve you. He doesn't treat you right.
Me- Carlie that's enough Matt loves me and I love him. He is handsome and the captain of the football team.
Carlie- Mía is that why you are with him.
Me- no, I really do Love him.
Carlie- ok if you say so.
Me- ok Carlie I need to go to bed I need to wake up early tomorrow to make breakfast before Damon gets here.
Carlie- look at you al ready acting like his wife hahaha.
Me- you know what!! You are to much I don't even know why I'm your friend.
Carlie- because you Love me and you know I am always saying the truth.
Me- hahaha you got that right. Bye Carlie
Carlie- bye Mía Good night.
I hang up the phone and got ready for bed. I shower and put my sky blue night gown that reach my knees. Dad told me he will pick up Damon from the airport. I couldn't really sleep but I had to try.
The next day Dad woke me up early to make breakfast for us. I got out of bed and brush my teeth. I didn't notice I never changed. I rushed to the kitchen. "I will be back" he said. I nodded and stared making breakfast. I remember French toast was his favorite. I also remember he loved the muffin my mom made and she taught me how to make them. I was in the process on finishing breakfast when the door opened.
When I turn to the door I saw my dad walk in and behind him I saw who I was waiting for. Him
Damon walked in....
