INTRODUCTION
The protagonist of the novel Love you theoretically is a 27-year-old Canadian woman who is leading a miserable existence. She was a drug addict who spent her whole life doing heavy drugs, drinking alcohol, and smoking cigarettes. She was expelled from the University of London (a federation of multiple colleges and institutes), where she was pursuing her master's degree, and was subsequently deported from London to her hometown in Canada. According to the news source, cocaine was discovered on her at the university's premises, which caused her to be expelled and deported from London. Her parents did all they could to help her make a permanent change, but their efforts were ineffective. Now that she has returned to Canada, she has continued to live the same life she had in London, which has led her to be forced by her parents to marry a man she does not like after becoming pregnant out of wedlock by her father's personal driver, John.
She chose to lead a carefree and meaningless life despite the fact that she was the only child of her parents and that they loved her very much. John, who just so happened to be the father of her unborn child, was able to transform her from a drug addict to a devoted housewife.
CHAPTER ONE
Jennifer's return to Canada from London as a result of her drug trafficking offenses
On one faithful morning Jennifer came home, she took a flight from London where she was schooling and came home, she met her mother and her mother was excited to see her around, so her mother received her but her mother was worried because of the kind of life she was living, after opening the door for her to enter the house, their mother collected her backs her luggages and embrace her but they look on their mother's face was not good enough so the mother asks her what happened why she decided to leave the kind of life she was living the mother actor that she had at home that a drug a cocaine was found on high in the university so the school management the university management had to expire her from the university so that is the reason why she came home so the mother acts are whether that was what she sent her to go and and do it at the University while she did not order that award Jennifer insisted that she had to go upstairs and relax that she and her mother we will have to have what we have to discuss on that matter some other time so the mother said okay no problem that she's going inside the kitchen to prepare her something to eat that she should go upstairs and dick is shower then come downstairs and eat her lunch.
In a short while, Jennifer descended from the second floor to come down and eat her lunch. She met her mother in the living room and asked her if the food was ready; the mother responded that it was. Jennifer insisted that she wanted to eat her lunch because she was extremely hungry after a long journey; the mother said okay, no problem, but she had to wait for them to return. Jennifer was about to go upstairs when her father returned with their driver. Her father was disappointed to see her at home because of the kind of life she was leading after graduating from the university. The mother told Jennifer that she sent her on an errand to go and get something at the supermarket and that she should wait for her to come so that she could serve the food to her.
John was Jennifer's driver and new to the job, so Jennifer had never met him before. Jennifer was in school when John started working for her father, so her mother went upstairs right away. After a short while, Jennifer's mother returned and introduced John to Jennifer's father, saying, "John, meet my daughter; her name is Jennifer." Jennifer rebuffed John's attempt for a handshake and walked inside her room, so Jennifer's mother urged John not to worry since she's not happy right now and to leave her alone for a while. When their mother instructed John to go to his room and wait for the maid to bring him dinner, John said, "No problem."
After a short while, Jennifer's father entered the house; he was dressed and ready to leave. He informed Jennifer's mother that he would be leaving for a meeting and would return in an hour. When Jennifer's father left, Jennifer followed suit. She informed her mother that she wanted to go out with her friends. The mother responded by saying, "Jennifer, you know your father doesn't approve those reckless friends if yours"
When our father returned from the meeting he had attended, he was eating dinner with Ham. The father remembered that Jennifer was nearby and asked the mother to call her to come and join us for dinner. However, the mother responded to the father by saying that she sent her to go and get something for her at the store. As a result, the mother became concerned. The father asked, "Is this the person you told me you sent to go and get something from the supermarket? Why is she coming back home drunk?" The mother responded that they were both busy with household duties. The father said, "Okay, no problem." Immediately after, Jennifer returned, and she was drunk. Her father was extremely upset and angry with her. He asked her, "Jennifer, is it a crime or a cost to have you as a child?" because he had sent her to London to complete her master's degree. However, when she arrived, she misbehaved and led an irresponsible lifestyle. Because of this, she was expelled from the university and is now back here, leading the same lifestyle. said her father.
The father asked Jennifer, "Why do you choose to hurt us like this?" Jennifer said, "You people choose to hurt yourselves." I'm just having fun with my life," to which their mother promptly and firmly demanded an end. When Jennifer saw her father trying to beat her, she tried to climb the stairs and go upstairs, where her mother and father were still eating in the dining room. Her father had lost his appetite as a result of the kind of life Jennifer was leading, and he wanted to stand up and slap her, but her mother held him down and convinced him to forgive her because Jennifer was only a child.
CHAPTER TWO
Jennifer was found smoking at their apartment complex
Oh wow, thank you, honey. I forgot that today was my friend's birthday, and he did not even call me. Maybe he is trying to see if I still remember his birthday, so I think I will have to prepare now so that we can go and pay him. After Jennifer's mother and father finished eating, they went to the living room and were conversing. Jennifer's mother reminded Jennifer's father that that day was Jennifer's father's friend's birthday, and Jennifer's father quickly remembered. Okay, no issue, honey, Jennifer's mother said. However, right away, Jennifer's father saw several cocaine orders coming from behind the house. He asked Jennifer's mother, "Do you perceive what I perceive?" No, Jennifer's mother said. What do you perceive? suppose someone is smoking near our home?" the father asked. I guess it's an Indian helm, the father said. Jennifer's father said, "No, I think it's coming from this side, and I think it's your daughter Jennifer who is smoking." Jennifer's mother had seen the same thing, although it may have been coming from another complex rather than their own. Jennifer's mother said, "How can she smoke?" Jennifer has returned from London and has quit smoking. She can't simply start smoking right now; maybe someone else is." Let's go and find out, the father said. The Jennifers asked John, their driver, if he knew the person who smoked because the smoke was too much and making it difficult to breathe. John responded, "Yes, it's your daughter," and when Jennifer's father turned to look beside him, there she was, smoking, holding a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. The father was irritated.
Although Jennifer's mother intervened on her behalf and told her father that she would speak to her, the father refrained from hitting the girl and instead walked inside the building.
The driver, John, attempted to calm Jennifer down, but Jennifer was paranoid and irate. She told John that he had no right to speak to her and that she would prove to her father that he was just a regular driver and that he had no right to order her around because she was of legal age. After arguing with John, Jennifer entered the building.
CHAPTER THREE
Jennifer's desire to socialize after her parents' traveled
A few days later, Jennifer's mother and father were planning a lengthy trip, so Jennifer's father gave John the order to keep Jennifer out of the house until he returned. After three hours had passed since Jennifer's father and mother had left the house, Jennifer received a call that one of her best friends was hosting a party that evening. Since the party would be hosted by an old friend from high school, Jennifer said it was no problem that she would attend the party. John responded, "No problem, sir. I'll make sure that Jennifer doesn't live in the building." As a result, Jennifer's parents left.
When Jennifer was ready to leave the house and go to the party, she discovered that the gate was locked. She called John to come and open the gate so she could leave for her party, but John refused, telling her that he was obeying her father's orders not to let her leave the house until after they returned from their trip. Jennifer insisted that she must leave that house and attend a party because it is important to her. John called her father to inform him of this, and he further informed him that he should allow Jennifer to attend the party with the caveat that he accompany her so that he can keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't get drunk or act inappropriately. They drove off to where the party was being held after John said, "Alright, no problem. John then unlocked the gate.
At the party, Jennifer drank alcohol, smoked, and did other things to get drunk, but she wouldn't let John stop her because he has a drink allergy. After a while, the two of them left the party and returned home, but Jennifer was very weak and could not walk by herself to her bedroom, so John had to hold her and carry her there so she could go to sleep. Jennifer was very inebriated. John was compelled to kiss and make love to Jennifer since she insisted on it. Unable to resist the touching, John accidentally made love to Jennifer.
When Jennifer got out of bed in the morning, she saw that she was nude and that someone was lying next to her. She shouted, and when she glanced at the person's face, she saw that it was John. What are you doing in my room?" she asks John. Jennifer asked John, "Why did you make love to me even when I asked you to?" John replied, "I did not take advantage of her that she led me into making love to you," adding, "I did not take advantage of her that she led me into making love to you yesterday after you came home drunk and weak." Jennifer said it was a lie that John intended to sleep with her on purpose and had succeeded, so she asked him to leave her room. John picked up his clothing from the floor and did just that.
CHAPTER FOUR
Jennifer's pregnancy revealed
Soon after Jennifer's parents returned home a few days later, she welcomed them and immediately began to feel weak. She soon developed a fever; her body became hot; she lost her appetite; and she was constantly exhausted. Her mother noticed all of these symptoms and realized what the issue was. Jennifer claimed that everything was OK. No, you're not alright, her mother said. Jennifer's mother drove her to the hospital, where a doctor performed a test on her before asking them to wait while he analyzed the results. Jennifer's mother waited with her daughter while she awaited the results. After a short while, the doctor emerged, beaming, to inform the mother that Jennifer was pregnant. The doctor also informed the mother that the pregnancy was healthy. Jennifer was reserved. Jennifer was unable to change a word, so the mother left the hospital furious. When they arrived at the home, the mother acted like Jennifer once again, telling Jennifer that the doctor had told them she was pregnant. Who is to blame for the pregnancy?" the mother asked. When Jennifer remained silent, the mother repeated her question and added, "Who is to blame for your pregnancy?" Jennifer remained silent.
As soon as Jennifer's father returned from wherever he had gone, he entered the living room and informed the mother of what had happened. He claimed to have overheard Jennifer's mother talking about responsibility, prompting the question, "Who is responsible for what?"
The mother was unable to respond, but Jennifer stood up and claimed that John was responsible for her pregnancy. She claimed that when their parents separated and the father and mother went on a trip, John took advantage of their mother while she was intoxicated and caused her to fall pregnant. The father was disappointed and asked John if he was telling the truth, but John responded that Jennifer had forced him to sleep with her; it wasn't her doing. The mother was also disappointed in John because they trusted him and treated him like their own son rather than a child. When John was begging Jennifer's father for help, the father pulled out his cell phone and called a soldier to come and arrest John. A soldier soon arrived at the compound, and John was detained for a few days after John's Kingsman visited Jennifer's father to make a plea. Jennifer's father responded, "The same way John impregnated my daughter by mistake, that same way he will rot in jail by mistake," to which John's Kingmen replied, "He should not do that, because John is an orphan; he lost his parents when he was 15 years old." John's Kingmen continued, "But John is an orphan; he lost his parents when he was 15 years old."
"So?" said Jennifer's father. What should I do now? Is it OK for me to welcome a bastard into my home? He spoke. Jennifer's mother refused to consent to it since John was a nobody and a common driver. John's men responded by telling him that he could marry his daughter and have a child with her. Additionally, Jennifer said that she would terminate the pregnancy. Instead of being married to John, the father argued that she must keep the child since she cannot, due to her irresponsible, careless lifestyle, abort the unintended pregnancy.
The father of Jennifer decided that it would not be a terrible idea to have his daughter "Jennifer" married to John. When the mother pointed out that he is a driver, the father said, "Didn't she know he was a driver when she was opening her legs for John to sleep with her? "The father countered that she wasn't made to drink; rather, she chose to do so. The mother claimed that she was intoxicated.
When Jennifer's father wanted something to eat and drink for them, he called John's Kingsmen, who were also his in-laws. And John was let out of prison the same day.
CHAPTER FIVE
Jennifer got married to John, her father's personal driver
When Jennifer and John (Jennifer's father) were married, Jennifer's father gave them an apartment that had roughly four rooms, including a parlor, dining room, and kitchen. He also put his daughter, "Jennifer, on a monthly allowance. John was given a position by Jennifer's father at one of his subsidiary businesses. John was happy that he now had a wife, a home, a vehicle, and a good job.
After their marriage, John and Jennifer returned to the apartment that Jennifer's father had given them. Jennifer, who had not fallen in love with John, was unhappy that day after returning from the wedding and refused to speak to him or do anything for him as a result.
The next day, Jennifer began smoking once again. John attempted to stop her, but she rebuffed him, claiming he couldn't stop her from enjoying her life. Jennifer laughed and responded that John was sounding like family. John told her that he was now her husband, but Jennifer seemed to deny that he was. John then informed Jennifer that he was aware of the circumstances surrounding the marriage that God had blessed because of her pregnancy. John also told Jennifer that he knew about this situation surrounding the marriage because of her pregnancy. Jennifer must cooperate since John said that he cannot do it alone and that the two of them are necessary for the marriage to succeed.
According to Jennifer, they are not a couple. John said, "Jennifer, they are not a couple. I understand that your father forced you to marry him, but he cannot force you to love him." According to Jennifer, she is not and never will be in love with John. Jennifer responded, "John, I said it, and I'll say it again. You cannot tell me what to do. It's my life, and I can do whatever I like." John responded, "I know you don't love me, and that is fine, but try not to endanger the life of the baby inside your womb by smoking this cigarette." He continued, "I'm drinking alcohol like you always do."
CHAPTER SIX
John resumes work at his father in-law's company
John was now silent, and he kept quiet. He then picked up his clothes and backpack and headed to work. This was his first day of employment, so he met new people and got along with someone who shared his marital status. His workplace buddy welcomed him and asked him whether he liked the office, to which John said that he did. The other guy was surprised and asked why John said "there was no honeymoon." John replied that it's something he would not like to talk about. The other guy told John that he is also married and that marriage is an institution where you must tolerate, love, and be patient with your partner regardless of the situation. After hearing these remarks, John began to approach him. When John was questioned about whether he was married, he said that he was and that he was aware of them since he had previously been married.
After leaving work, John met his wife at the house and inquired as to why there wasn't any food in the kitchen. Jennifer said, "What a stupid question that is," to John. Why not go to the kitchen and prepare something for yourself to eat if you're hungry? Because there was nothing for John to eat when he got home from a long day at work, he became upset. Jennifer responded to him by saying, "This is not marriage." "I don't like you to not talk about love," and "If it weren't for my father, I would have aborted this pregnancy and moved on with my life peacefully."
John informed her that being pregnant was the result of a dumb mistake that she made when he slept with her. Jennifer said, "Are you mad?" as she stood up furious.
CHAPTER SEVEN
Raymond's Advice to John
The second day John went to work, he ran into Raymond, a coworker, and told him all that had happened in his marriage. Raymond gave him some advice, telling him to calm down and follow his wife "Jennifer" gently since she would soon change. John complained to Raymond that his wife, Jennifer, is always causing him difficulties and is ruining his life. Jennifer is merely his wife on paper and not in reality, John continued. His coworker kept telling him to be patient with her because eventually she would change and have a wonderful life. Raymond responded that everything happens for a reason, so there must be a reason why God allowed you to be with her!
When Jennifer's buddy called to tell her there was a party in the area, she informed the caller that she would be attending. However, when the caller informed her that she was expecting, she responded that her pregnancy couldn't restrict her activities.
When Jennifer, "his wife," was ready to leave the house for the party when John arrived home from work, he said, "Where are you going to dress like this?"
John protested that he couldn't let his wife leave the house dressed like a prostitute, to which Jennifer retorted that it was none of his concern where she was going. He was informed by Jennifer that she could not be instructed on what to do or how to dress. She responded, "My father couldn't even control me, let alone you!"
She headed to the place she liked to hang out, where she continued to smoke and drink until she was delirious with her pals. Unluckily for her, when she attempted to drive home that evening, she had a collision, and John, her husband, received a call from an anonymous caller who had seen his phone number on her phone. When John saw his wife in the hospital, he hurried there to check on her. When he arrived, he found her lying down on the hospital bed, unable to speak or see. John went to see the doctor to find out how she was doing and what had happened to his wife. The doctor informed him that his wife had a lot of alcohol in her system and that the accident was caused by her careless driving. When John's wife Jennifer's mother and father arrived at the hospital and they entered their hospital, the mother started screaming because her daughter's condition was very bad. When the father saw her, he acted like John and said John. John was disappointed and angry, but there was nothing he could do at the time, so he went back to the hospital, where his wife was lying down. He sat down and started staring at his wife. Please repeat what you said so that I can hear you clearly. John will then tell the father that the woman went out to a party, and when she got home, she was drunk and had an accident as a result of her intoxication. However, the pregnancy has ended as a result of her reckless driving, which was brought on by her intoxication.
Have you seen where your irresponsible life has brought you? The father asked her, as he was furious, enraged, and afraid. Her father began interrogating her and yelling at her in an uncontrollable rage.
However, the mother was able to bring the father here and leave the hospital.
CHAPTER EIGHT
Jennifer lost her pregnancy, and she was discharged from the hospital.
When Jennifer was finally released from the hospital, John took her home, but she was still in agony. They then began conversing. Although she wasn't happy about losing the pregnancy, she told John that she was grateful that she did. John was surprised and asked her why she said that, to which she responded that the truth is that she isn't in love with John and that now that the pregnancy has ended, she would like to file for divorce. John was taken aback, but he assured her that his parents had never separated and that he would never divorce her for whatever reason. In response, Jennifer told John, "If you don't divorce me, then get ready to live in pain. I'm going to make this house both bearable for you to leave and painful for you to live in." John, though, remained silent as he went, simply looking at her.
The following day, John went to work and saw Raymond, his best friend, and a coworker. He told Raymond everything that had happened, but Ramond, a good friend, kept encouraging him to make the right decision. John told them that he wanted to get a divorce, but Ramond insisted that wasn't the best course of action. A Christian like you shouldn't think about getting a divorce in a marriage, no matter the circumstances or how your partner may be acting or living. Raymond warned John that if he sought to divorce her, he may lose his job since Jennifer's father had helped him get it and because he was the CEO of one of the largest companies owned by Jennifer's father. But John informed Raymond that he didn't care and that it would be better for him to be unemployed and have peace than to be employed and live with a lady who doesn't make him feel peaceful. John also said that she is a lost cause as far as he is concerned, but Raymond argued that he shouldn't think that way.
CHAPTER NINE
John attempts to divorce Jennifer, his wife.
When John got home from work that day, he found his wife drinking and smoking in the living room, as usual. He left and went right to their bedroom, where he discovered that his money had been taken. He went downstairs and asked Jennifer why she had taken his money from where he kept it, and she began insulting him by asking, "How much is it? Why are you making a fuss about some foolish change you left there? She stated. Are you kidding me? asked John. You don't think the allowances your father gives you each month are sufficient. Why did you have to take anything from me? He spoke. So you're keeping an eye on my movements? You do realize that the amount my father provides me is a problem? She stated."What is your problem? Where are you now trying to frustrate me? All you do is sit at home, drink smoke, and do all sorts of nonsense," John said at her in an irate tone. John utteredAre you mad? Jennifer questioned John as she got to her feet. Are you a moron? Have you lost your mind? What are you excellent at, John inquired of her? You are nothing but a spoiled brat who does nothing but smoke and drink. After John told her so, Jennifer smacked him and threatened to do it again if he changed another word from this "mouth" that he called a toilet.I can't do this any longer; I need to get a divorce,'' John said as he stormed out.
Jennifer was really happy to hear that from him since it was exactly what she had always wanted from him, and the split was more important to her than her independence. After you eventually agreed to her terms and conditions, she said, "Please file for divorce; I'm ready to sign the paperwork."
John then began calling the lawyer before leaving for work to inquire about how long it would take for the divorce to be finalized. When his coworker Raymond entered the room, he asked him who he was on the phone with, and he said, "a lawyer."
Sorry, dude. I'm exhausted and fed up with all Jennifer has put me through, so I've decided to file for divorce since I can't go on like this any longer. John said. So, in your opinion, is it the wisest move? Ray questioned John. There is nothing more I can do; therefore, it's the best alternative, John said.Have you attempted to speak with her? Raymond proposedJohn informed Raymond that instead of conversing, they argue.Let me ask you this: Do you love her? Please be honest in your response. Ray questioned John."I don't know anymore at this point," John retorted.
If you love her, Raymond claims, you will be able to see beyond her flaws, but John claims that there are just too many for him to bear.
Then Have you tried to change her faults? If you think that she has too many, but John insisted that even her parents couldn't change who she is, her lifestyle, or the way she lives, then who is he to be able to change her fault? All of a sudden, his friend tells him that love surpasses all of her faults. If he genuinely loves her, he won't try to change her flaws or the sort of life she leads. Raymond asked John what love is, and John said that it's a feeling. I reminded John that love goes far beyond emotions, and Raymond smiled. Then he instructed John to take out his phone and open the Bible app. He then handed John a section of the Bible to read, and John began to do so. He gave John 1 Corinthians 13, verses 4–7, from the Bible.
Verse 4 of the passage states that love is patient and gentle, does not envy, does not display itself, and is not conceited. 6: "Love does not delight in wickedness but rejoices in the truth." 7: "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love does not act rudely. Love does not seek its own. Love is not provoked. Love thinks no ill.
After John may have completed reading that specific Bible verse, Raymond likewise pulled out his phone, opened the Bible app, and began reading the other Bible passages to John.
He read, and I quote: "The Bible offers instruction on various facets of marriage and relationships, including the love and duties between a husband and wife." The New Testament's book of Ephesians, chapter 5, verses 25–33, has one significant passage that especially speaks about the love a man should have for his wife.
According to Ephesians 5:25–33 of the New International Version:
"Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and sacrificed himself for her to make her holy, cleaning her by the word-washing with water, and to present her to himself as a dazzling church, without stain, wrinkle, or any other blemish, but pure and faultless. In this regard, husbands should treat their wives the same way they treat their own bodies. If a man loves his wife, he also loves himself. Since we are all a part of Christ's body, the church, no one has ever disliked their own body, and as Scripture states, "a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." Although I am referring to Christ and the church, this is a deep mystery. Each of you must, however, respect your husbands and love their wives as much as you love yourselves.
This chapter highlights the self-sacrificing love that men are expected to exhibit for their wives and compares it to Christ's love for the church. It exhorts men to care for and nurture their wives in the same way as they would their own bodies. It also emphasizes the togetherness and oneness created by marriage. Raymond made a remark!
CHAPTER TEN
Jennifer met with her ex-boyfriend Martins in a lounge.
Jennifer answered the phone when she was dining at home and inquired, "Hello, who is this?" When she saw that it was an unknown caller. In response, the caller identified herself as her former boyfriend's longtime buddy, Martins. She was thrilled and ready to see Martins after hearing that he had just arrived in the nation. She said, "I can't wait to see you!"
Martins inquired where they might hang out, to which she responded that she would send him a recommendation. In order to spend time with Martins, who also happens to be Jennifer's official boyfriend, Jennifer left the house. Martins was ecstatic to see her and said, "The UK is boring without you in it," to which Jennifer grinned broadly. Martins remarked, "I miss you though, and I was devastated when I heard that you got married," to which Jennifer responded, "Marriage is one of the mistakes of my life, and I will soon make up for it." Martins inquired as to how she intended to make amends, and she said that she was divorcing. He told her that while it seemed like fantastic news to him, her husband, John, would be disappointed. They chuckled. She grinned as she opened the tiny vial of cocaine that Martins had hidden and given to her, stating how much she had missed it and how much she loved it. She probed the cocaine container with her fingertips and declared it to be authentic. Martins said, "I precisely know what you love, and I brought precisely that to you."
Because she was still hanging out with her ex, the wife was nowhere to be found when her husband, "John," arrived home. However, after a while, the wife, "Jennifer," returned home, and it was her ex-boyfriend, "Matins," who brought her home. Her husband, "John," saw them through the window, and she walked in and met the husband in their living room. When her husband, "John," asked her where she was coming from and who the person that dropped her off was,
CHAPTER ELEVEN
John took his colleague's advice (Raymond), and it worked.
Considering the advices that John's Colleague "Raymond" has been giving him at the office, John decided to adjust the way he lives with his wife "Jennifer" and started showing her love instead of always quarreling with her, he prepared rice with chicken and with some other items and brought it to the wife while she was still smoking at the living room, the husband "John" asked her to eat the food that he made it specially for her. She smiled, she acted nicely, she collected the food from her husband and poured the food on him "John" and warned John that he should not cook for her again that she's not interested, John was angry and terrified.
When John went to the office the next day, he met his colleague "Raymond" so he told Raymond that he has made up his mind to divorce her completely and move on with his life, Raymond was not comfortable with his decision and he told John to slow down to avoid making a mistake in the process of divorcing his wife. But John seems not to listen to Raymond because he was tired of the whole situation. Raymond told John not to loose hope and he should also remember that love is hopeful, and hope always sees light at the end of the tunnel despite the darkness surrounding it. Raymond always advised John not to do the wrong thing, he was such a good friend.
Jennifer went to the club again with her ex-boyfriend "Martins" to have some fun as usual, they (Martins and Jennifer) drank and smoked to stupor, they danced and did all sorts of mannerless things. After clubbing, she went back home and her husband (John) seated at the living room, when she entered the house and met John, she asked John how soon will the divorce papers will be ready, John replied her "soon"
She said better and opened her back, brought out some make up kits and started putting makeup on her face. She told John she can't wait to get out of the curse they called marriage, John replied "me too"
At this point, John's mind was made up, he didn't want the marriage anymore because so many efforts he was making to make the marriage work was in vain.
CHAPTER TWELVE
John started treating Jennifer with love.
When John touched Jennifer's skin while she was sick and burning, she told him not to touch her and that she could take care of herself. Three weeks later, the lawyer was still working on the documents to serve both of them (John and Jennifer), but on that fateful morning, John said, "You are not feeling well; this is not the right time for you to be stubborn; get up and let's go to the hospital." She requested that John leave her alone and warned him that just because she is ill doesn't mean she won't smack him if he bothers her once more. While Jennifer was still lying on the bed with her ailing body, John left the house and went to work. After being questioned about his wife "Jennifer" by Raymond when they ran into each other again at work, John revealed all that had transpired before Raymond's arrival that morning. However, Raymond advised that John go home and take his wife to the hospital. Raymond also said that he should show his wife that he genuinely loves her through this difficult time since doing so would cause her to alter her behavior for the better. John prepared pepper soup and brought it to the bedroom while Jennifer was still sleeping. He woke her up to eat the pepper soup, but she insisted that she didn't need his help, so John dropped the food and left, but she was very hungry and needed food to eat. John decided to go to the pharmacy that day after closing and get some drugs for Jennifer. When he got home, he presented the drugs to Jennifer, but she rejected them, and John dropped the drug on the bed and left. After a time, John entered the room, and she had already eaten the pepper soup and taken the medications he had purchased for her. How are you feeling, John inquired? Did you like the soup with peppers? However, Jennifer didn't change a word. She thanked John for taking care of her despite all she had put him through when he removed the plates and the medications. Jennifer was startled when she recovered from her illness and entered the living room to find John laying the table for supper. Jennifer sat down and John served her food, and she was happy to be eating it. She retired to her room after supper to recover and sleep. John handed her some fruits while she was lying on her bed, and she eagerly accepted and ate them. But she questioned John, saying, "John, why are you doing this?"What was John's response? "Why do you treat me the way you do after everything I might have put you through?" she said.John suddenly remembered the passage from the Bible that Raymond, a coworker, had requested he read in the workplace. John responded by stating that love is compassionate, forgiving, does not remember wrongdoing, forgives, and endures. Jennifer was calm at this time, making it simple for John to counsel her, which is what he did, but she paid attention and responded, "No one has ever spoken to me in the way you did. My father always put the blame on me, and when he did that, I did something worse than the ones I've been doing, and that made me be the worst and live this kind of life, she said. Love doesn't insult others, and your father loves you, John retorted to her. He continued by saying that, given the fact that her father was a former soldier, yelling at her could be the best approach to influencing her. "That never changed me; it only made me worse," she said. According to John, the best way to influence a kid is not to chastise them excessively but rather to get close to them and tell them that they will change for the better.
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
John tells Raymond, a coworker at the workplace, the good news.
The next day, John went to work and was overjoyed. John was questioned by the person who usually gave him advice on why he was so thrilled. John was happy to share everything with Raymond, even how his wife has changed as a result of the workplace advice he has been providing her. Raymond congratulates John for following his advice and for successfully getting his girlfriend, "Jennifer, to alter her behavior. John responded that since Jennifer is such a lovely person, all she needed to change was her love and care. With pride, Raymond said, "I told you to be hopeful; love is hopeful; love is kind; and love records no wrong" (I told you to be hopeful; love is hopeful; love is kind; and love records no wrong), which indicates everyone may change for the better.
Jennifer, who was at home, made another attempt to smoke as normal. She pulled out a cigarette and a lighter and lit the lighter three times before deciding against smoking and dropping both the lighter and the cigarette. She was starting to transform at this point.
When her female friend called and asked her to meet up at their usual bar for some fun drinks as usual, Jennifer refused and answered, "I don't think so; I don't think I'm ready to go hang out." At this point, Jennifer was no longer comfortable keeping those bad friends, so she made the decision to gradually cut them out of her life. Jennifer turned down a friend's offer to hang out for the first time, which was unlike her.
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Jennifer learned how to cook from YouTube. She cooked and surprised her husband (John).
When John was away at work one fateful morning, Jennifer started learning how to cook online. She wrote down all the cooking steps from the YouTube videos she was learning from, went to the store and bought all the ingredients, and brought them home. She then followed the processes and steps to prepare a delicious and amazing meal for John, and when her husband returned from work, he was astounded by what he saw at the dining table. John first assumed that she had purchased it from the market or that someone had prepared it for her. But Jennifer persuaded him that she made the food herself, and he could see the proof. She had never cooked before; this was her first time ever. However, her first supper was delicious, and her husband, John, was quite pleased with her.
CHAPTER FIFTEENTH
John's final decision to divorce his wife Jennifer on Valentine's Day
John was at work, celebrating with his coworker Raymond about how his wife has been changing for the better. He was glad that he had finally been able to influence his wife, and he thanked Raymond for always encouraging him to make the right decisions. John added that if it weren't for Raymond, he would have divorced his wife a long time ago. As they were celebrating, Raymond suggested that John buy his wife a Valentine's Day gift because she deserved one. When Jennifer, who was at home, heard a knock on the door, she rushed to answer it and saw her ex-boyfriend "Martins" coming into the living room. Jennifer immediately questioned him: "Martins, what are you doing here?" When Martins heard that question, he was taken aback and said, "What do you mean by what I'm doing here? You've stopped returning my calls, so I came to visit you, Martins said.
Martins said, "Go get dressed; I'm taking you out!"
Why? Jennifer enquired!
Why, exactly, do you mean Remember that it's Valentine's Day? Martin responded. It's true, Jennifer retorted, so get dressed and let's head out to hang around.
I'm sorry, but my spouse won't approve of me going out with you.
Martin was taken aback. He questioned her, "What do you mean? I believed you wanted a divorce from your spouse.
I will advise you to stop calling me and move on because I want you to live a better life and I want to stop wasting my time all in the name of having fun, and I will advise you to do the same. "Not any more; I now realize how blessed I am to have him as my husband, and I have decided to love him now more than ever. Jennifer responded, "
Martins said, "I love you, Jennifer," to which Jennifer reacted angrily, "I will appreciate it if you leave right away."
When Jennifer's husband, John, returned from work holding the Valentine's gift he had bought for Jennifer in his hand, John opened the door and saw the two of them in a lewd position as Martins tried to kiss Jennifer. John then closed the door and went back to the office, where he called the police. Martins stood up, walked closer to Jennifer, held her tightly, and tried to kiss her, but she dragged him along and yelled, "Leave me alone, help-help." When the attorney arrived at John's home, his wife Jennifer welcomed him inside and inquired as to if everything was well. The wife asked the lawyer whether he would sit and wait for John to return, and he did so after answering "yes".John returned from the office a little while later, his expression filled with rage.Jennifer was sobbing, begging him to pay attention to her.
"Please don't sign those papers. What you saw is not what it is. He forced and tried to kiss me before you opened the door and came in." Please don't sign the divorce papers, even though I've always wanted to divorce you, because I'm now in love with you and want to keep us together. I'll continue to be a nice wife to you because I love you. She stated:
John wanted to sign the divorce papers that he had obtained from the attorney. After pausing, he tore the papers. The attorney was taken aback. I believed you had this as a lifelong goal. What has occurred, Mr. John? "Lawyer asked"
After being silent for a while and sobbing severely, John went to his wife and said, "Jennifer, why did you choose to break my heart in the way you did?" I gave you the royal treatment. Why did you choose to harm me so severely? I'm really sorry; kindly pardon me, and starting from now, I'll be a nice wife to you. She stated:
Jennifer remarked, "I love you too," as John gave her a hug and expressed his love.
