This is a true story of a guy who falls in love with a woman he believed would bring him peace and joy but only for him to find out that this was a love that would change his already happy world and life.
when I first meet her she was the sweetest and friendliest character I have ever met. She was the first to greet me and introduced herself to me. Then asked me what's my name and what I do to make an income. When I told her that I am a cab driver, she was impressed. She asked for my phone number with the promise that she would need my service and let me expect her to call me soon. I was happy because I met a potential new customer in my already struggling taxi service business.
A few days after she collected my number, an unknown number appeared on my screen and when I answered the call a melodious voice was heard from the other side of the phone and the first word she said was please I want a taxi to the mum, I am sorry I didn't call you earlier as I wanted but I hope you remember me, this is Lizzy the dreadlocks empress you gave a lift to a few days ago. Oh! I remember you I replied, I have been expecting your call but better you've called today than never. Please give me the location of where you are currently and I will come and pick you up right away as I am free at the moment. The weather on this faithful day was sunny and bright even though it was in September the time of the year when rain is very heavy in the Gambia. It took me a little longer than I had hoped to get to her house because the streets leading to her house were full of puddles and some of these puddles were inaccessible. But with my knowledge of driving during the rainy season, I was able to get to her house and when I phone her to inform her that I am waiting outside her house, she was surprised and said wow! That was quick. A few minutes later she walked out of her house were a colourful African dress, as it was on a Friday and traditionally people in the part of my world dress African on Fridays. They were fabrics locally tailored and the patterns are unique to this culture in the Senegambia area of west Africa.
