Chapter 1 Ava. (Little Trouble)
Ava stood before her mom, her lips tucked in and her head bowed.
One could decipher she was about to get reprimanded.
Mrs. Dale's gave Ava a tiring look.
"Can you explain to me what prompted you to start a fight. She asked clearly pissed off.
Ava flinched.
"Where the hell was Francis. He was the only one who could save her now. She thought.
Like the savior he is, Francis came in and rushed towards them.
Ava smiled and ran into his arms hugging him and faking tears.
"Mom I'll take it from here. He said and Mrs. Dale's huffed before standing up.
"Talk to her. She said and with that she left for her room.
Making sure she was gone. Ava secretly peeps around and when she found no one she pulled away from Francis and gave him a cute smile.
"What did you do this time? I had to run all the way from school just because you called telling me you were in trouble. Francis said.
Ava shrugged. It wasn't my fault,he started it so I just decided to give him a taste of his own medicine. She replied innocently.
Francis palmed his face in resignation.
"Anyway, thanks for coming over. You're a life saver. She said and winked at him.
"Aren't you a bit remorseful about what you did. He asked.
Ava grinned wickedly.
"You broke his nose Ava. Francis snapped surprised by how calm she is.
"And his balls. Ava completed and Francis Sat forcefully on the nearest couch.
"What are you? He asked.
This wasn't the first time she was caught fighting and neither was this the first time he had saved her. She had even beaten up two teenager for bullying a kid and they had both ended up in the hospital and he had to pay the bills.
Ava might look all cute, innocent and sweet but that was just a mask.
She was the definition of TROUBLE..
"Come on Champ. Don't be mad. Ava whined blinking her eyes cutely.
"Go away you little terror. Francis seethed and Ava laughed.
"I love you too brother. She said and pecked his cheek.
Francis groaned.
"I missed classes because of you. He said and Ava scoffed.
"As if... You hate History class. Ava replied and Francis looked at her.
"How did you know.. he asked.
"I saw your schedule. She said and Francis groaned again.
"For the love of God. Stop going through my things. He said.
Ava giggled.
"Cross my heart. I won't go through your things again. She said funnily.
"Whatever. Francis mumbled.
Just then Ava's phone buzzed signify a notification.
She unlocked her phone and read the message.
A loud scream escaped her mouth immediately.
Aaaaaah........
"What. Francis asked as he rushed over to her side.
Ava showed him the message.
DEAR AVA DALES. YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN ADMISSION INTO OUR SCHOOL"DIAMOND HIGH" FOR YOU WERE ONE OF THE STUDENTS WHO PASSED THE EXAMS. WE EXPECT YOU TO BE IN SCHOOL BY 8AM SHARP.
CONGRATULATIONS.
Francis read aloud and Ava screamed happily.
" I made it. She said and jumped on him.
Mrs. Dale's came down in a hurry wondering what the fuss was all about.
"What's going on. She asked.
"I made it mom. I made it into Diamond High School. She said
"Wow. Congrats baby. Come give your Mama a hug. Mrs. Dale's said and Ava happily hugged her.
"Congrats peach. I knew you could make it. Francis said and ruffled her hair.
"Get off. Ava slapped his hand away whilst smiling.
"I can't wait to tell Dad. Ava said squealing and rushed to her room.
"DIAMOND HIGH HERE I COME. She screamed.
Francis chuckled softly.
"Diamond High is in for a lot of trouble. He mumbled.
Mrs. Dale's looked at him and smiled.
"She's growing up so fast. She muttered sadly.
Francis came over to her side and hugged her.
"Come on Mom. Am hungry. He said and Mrs. Dale's smacked his arms.
"Mom. Francis whined.
"Foodie. Mrs. Dale's said and Francis winked at her.
"Only when it comes to your food. He said.
"You sweet little thing. Mrs. Dale's said as she tugged his cheeks.
"Jeez Mom. I'm not a kid. Francis said and ran off to his room.
Mrs. Dale's chuckled and shook her head.
