"What... What do you want from me? You tell me to stay away from you all through the day and you tell me to stay away from others too" her gaze lowered as she could not stare directly into his fiery eyes. He grabbed her hand and made her look back at him. "I don't want you to belong to others. You are mine and even if I ask you to stay away from me, you cannot forget you are mine, Alice. Mine only." * All her life, Alice found peace in books, most especially Werewolf romance books. What happens when she finds herself pulled into a wolf world with a strange identity? Her fantasies are suddenly true except that it comes much more difficult than she can ever think of. With a domineering Alpha who will do anything to keep her by his side as a maid rather than as a mate and a strong she wolf who would stop at nothing to become the Luna, Alice has to find a way to live in the Wolfland as Alice, the omega.

Chapter 1 A Different Sleep

Alice walked into her apartment with a tired yawn. She stretched out her hands and heard her bones make a crackling sound.

It was another tiring day for her. She was a masseuse and the spa she worked at usually had a whole lot of patronizers and today was not exceptional.

Most of the clients preferred having her as their masseuse. She was good at it.

Alice was well paid but that was not just it. It wasn't what what she liked to do. The job was not something she really loved.

She could not count how many times perverts would want her to give them a private massage at their homes so that they would have the opportunity to flirt with her and pass sexual comments. If she loved the job, she could have endured it but she didn't!

She had had to listen to a quite a lot of men talk about how good it would feel if she could massage them down there. Some times back , she had refused to take male clients and the sales of the spa had dropped badly. Those men were paying high amount to have her be their masseuse!

Her boss had begged her to continue taking male clients and even gave her a huge raise. Alice eventually gave in after all, she needed the money badly.

Her little brother had been in a coma for three years now and she had to bear all expenses for it. Her mother was dead and her father was broke, too broke to afford the expenses.

She had the skills for her job but not the passion. And if it wasn't for her father who was so against her being a painter, Alice was sure she would not be living this tiring life. She would have made a name as a painter already and would be earning enough.

She breathed out deeply, kicking off the heels she was wearing. Within seconds, she twirled her hair into a bun and walked into her room.

She pulled off her clothes and changed into her pajamas quickly.

She rubbed her stomach and glanced at the wall clock. The time was 11pm. It was late and she was hungry but she was too tired to cook.

"Forget it, I will just eat tomorrow morning " she brushed it off and sat down on the chair before her reading table.

Aside from painting, Alice absolutely loved to read stories and the ones she liked the most were the werewolf stories. They were thrilling and exciting.

With a sudden bright look on her face, Alice grabbed one of the books and flipped open the pages.

It was an old book that her friend had lent to her and according to her friend, it was the best werewolf story ever.

With excitement, Alice began reading the book, her eyes trailing every single line with great interest.

The book was indeed worth the hype!

Alice flipped the page and continued reading. For minutes, she was lost in reading the book, she was so absorbed in the book that the ringing of her phone totally startled her.

With a jolt, Alice tore her eyes off the book and glanced at the ringing phone on the table.

It was an unknown number calling. That was weird, especially since it was so late at night.

At first, she did not want to pick up the call. After all it could be one of her pervert clients who found her contact somehow.

But on a second thought, Alice picked up the call and took the phone to her right ear, taking her gaze back to the book.

"Hello? Who is this?" she asked as soon as she picked the call but there was no response on the other side.

For a few seconds, it remained that way. Alice grew impatient and ended the call with a hiss.

"What in the world? " she snorted and returned her attention to the book but in no time, the same contact was calling again.

With a louder grumble, Alice picked up the call.

"Hello! Who is this?" she asked, her tone tougher this time around.

"Welcome Alice Reigns. You have been accepted into the realm" A manly voice replied.

Alice's brows furrowed in confusion. She could not understand what the person was saying.

"What realm?"

"Welcome" was the next response.

Alice wanted to yell at the person for disturbing her peace so late in the middle of the night but the call was ended.

"People have nothing to do these days other than making prank calls?" She scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Such a vibe killer" she muttered and dropped her phone in the drawer.

She yawned, this time sleepily. Alice glanced at the book wanting to read more of it before going to sleep but the sudden sleepiness was fast taking hold of her.

"Why do I feel so sleepy all of a sudden?" she yawned again.

It was strange for her to feel sleepy while reading a book so interesting.

Shaking her head and being determined to read a few more pages, Alice opened the next page but it was blank.

Her brows pulled together. She rubbed her eyes, hoping her sleepiness wasn't affecting her sight and it wasn't.... The next page was really blank.

She quickly flipped the page to find out if the next one was also blank and it almost was blank.

"No more" was written at the top of the page.

Alice glanced down at the bottom of the page and there was something written there too.

"Why don't you make your own story?"

It was a question.

"What sort of book is this?" Alice asked, still a bit confused at how the book was ending the interesting story and asking her to make hers.

"Delinda must have pranked me" she concluded and yawned again.

Just then, her wall clock chimed. It was 12 am. Alice's eyes suddenly dimmed as she stared at the wall clock.

It felt like sleep but it seemed heavier than sleep. Alice's head dropped on the book and her eyes closed in a very deep sleep.

A type of sleep that would change her life forever.

I lay paralyzed on stiff white sheets, a prisoner in my own skin, listening to the rain lash against the window like nails on a coffin. My father, Elmore Franco, didn't even look at my face as he checked his clipboard. He just listened to the steady, monotonous beep of the heart monitor-the only thing proving I was still alive. Without a hint of remorse, he pulled a pen from his pocket and signed the Do Not Resuscitate order. My stepmother, Ophelia, stepped out from behind him, wearing my favorite pearl necklace and smelling of cloying perfume. She leaned close to my ear to whisper the truth that turned my blood to ice. "It was the tea, darling. Just like your mother. A slow, tasteless poison." She chuckled as she revealed that my fiancé, Bryce, had a two-year-old son with my sister, Daniela. My inheritance had been funding their secret life for years, and now that the money was secure, I was an inconvenience they were finally scrubbing away. As my father yanked the power cord from the wall, the beeping died, and the darkness swallowed me whole. I was being murdered by my own flesh and blood, used as a bank account until I was no longer needed. I died in that sterile room, drowning in the realization that every person I ever loved was a monster who had been waiting for me to take my last breath. Then, I gasped. I woke up in a luxury hotel suite surrounded by silk sheets, five years in the past-the very morning of my wedding. Next to me lay Basile Delgado, the "Wolf of Wall Street" and my family's most dangerous enemy. In my first life, I ran from this room in a panic and lost everything. This time, I looked at the man who would eventually destroy my father's empire and decided to join him. "I'm not leaving, Basile. Marry me. Right now. Today."

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?
