I now pronounce you husband and wife were the word that echoed around in the St Francis Cathedral as everyone the priest announced to Mr and Mrs Erie.
Mr Erie's POV
I am now married to the woman I don't know all because of my parents although she looks great in her long white sleeveless gown that perfectly brings out her curves, I still can't get over the fact that am marrying someone I barely know but why did this woman agree to marry me despite knowing about my reputation and the rumors. I have to distance from this woman before she destroys me.
Steve, Steve , the woman next to him called him snapping him from his thoughts . The guests are waiting she continued and without another word she held his hand and led him to a few guests
Elisa's POV
I don't know why I agreed to this marriage but all I know is that Steve is only my husband by certificate this marriage holds no meaning to both of us, Elisa thought to herself as she gulped down her glass of red wine. Elisa had always been a woman of standards .
As the sky darkened as time passed the guests soon started departing and within no time the hall that was once filled with people was now quite as a grave yard. Elisa stood up from her seat and approach the man who was seated on the table, shouldn't we be going home, in a cold voice she said to the man. The light in the room was dim but she knew exactly who she was talking to. Go to the car I will meet you there, said Steve in a colder tone. Elisa didn't say a word more but walked out of the hall, noticed a black SUV parked at the front. When the driver say Elisa come out he jumped from his seat rushed to the other side of the car to open the door, Thank you, she said as she entered the car.She waited for Steve in the car for sometime until boredom hit her hard that she fell asleep. After a while Steve entered the car and ordered the driver to start driving.
