Chapter 1 CH1: Flashback

My life has just been this boring...no scratch that, I would rather say difficult. Living with a mother who cares nothing about you, believe me, its some sort of hell.

My name is Relly. Am seventeen Years old and in the fourth form of high school. I have a sister, Delly, who is three years older than me. She's my mommy's best.

I also have two friends, Farry and Danny. They are the only two people who care about me. I must say I love them as much as I would my blood siblings.

The two have always been there for me. They comfort me when am down and help me revenge those who wrong me. Yeah, everyone of course except my darling mom.

Mom is a very known person in our country. A popular business woman. She's rich and ambitious. Yeah, that's what everyone thinks. She's generous and has various charity clubs. She helps the needy.

I have this lonely life. I mean, no one to confide in, as in a parent figure. Everyone thinks I have a very good life, but I guess its the opposite. My mom goes to work daily and when she's home, she's always in her study. She doesn't pay me any attention.

At first, that's when I was younger, I thought it was because she's busy. Even when she would go out with my sister, I assumed it was because Delly was mature enough to help her in the office. And that was very stupid of me.

Dad left when I was five and mentioning him has become a taboo in our family. No one except me knew that he was leaving. Dad had always been the best. He gave me more of his love for the five years he was with us.

I vividly remember that day before he left. It was a Saturday. Mom had gone to work as usual and Delly had gone to school.

Flashback.

I woke up at around nine in the morning. It was a Saturday so I did not have classes. As it was a routine, dad did not go to work during weekends, and so he would take us out after Delly was back from school.

I ran to my parents bedroom. I would always do this every Saturday and Sunday. I would feel so good even if it meant that I slept in his embrace for only a minute.

But that day, things were different. I opened his door and was surprised to see him already dressed. He would always be in bed at such a time.

He turned to look at me when he heard the door opening. "Good morning my dear Relly," he said but I sensed that he was not as cheerful as always.

He picked me up and kissed my cheeks. I kissed him back. " Is daddy going to work today?" I asked. It was very rare seeing him leave on weekends.

"Yeah, daddy is going somewhere," he said.
