In exchange for a kiss, a guy once asked his neighbor for her password. When she's actually been in love with his neighbor since they moved into that house, will she be able to withstand his charm? What if his name was discovered to be the new WiFi password?

Chapter 1 1

I had just gotten home from school when I quickly threw my belongings from school on top of my study table and went into my bedroom.

I went down on my bed with the intention of lying down for a while before changing into my uniform, but I was shocked to see Nathan on the phone with someone.

Through my window, I had a clear view of his room. Throughout seventh grade, this guy was my attractive neighbor. He attended the same school as me and was two years older than me, but that didn't stop me from liking him.

Yes, I have liked him ever since I first saw him. No, I lobe him! because he was attractive, so attractive that he became well-liked in the school where he also serves as the basketball team's captain.

He was beyond wonderful in every way. For me? In fact, only for me. I nevertheless believed he had never noticed me. We never talk or even glance at each other. And because of it, I'm terribly sad. He was snobbish. I have no idea how to get his attention because he is such a snob.

He was popular and attractive but a playboy, but it didn't change how I felt about him since I knew one day he would notice me. He will one day love me and wed us. Two daughters and three sons will be born to us.

Yes, since our daughter will be the inspiration for a basketball team that we will form. I had always imagined having that.

When I heard him calling me, I snapped out of my thoughts and grinned before getting up to use the restroom. "Hey!"

I pivoted on my heels and looked into his dark eyes. I was genuinely astonished. He converted with me for the first time that day. "M-Me?" I mumbled. Is this the beginning? Oh God, please help me.

"Yeah! who else?" His tone was agitated and devoid of feeling. I choose to disregard it, though. I appreciated that he was speaking with me.

"W-why?" I berated myself in private for stuttering once more, which caused his lips to slash into a little smile.

What is the WiFi password? He inquired out of the blue.

"What?" I questioned him once again. Did he just ask what my WiFi password is? I thought he's trying to make friends with me but I think I was wrong.

"My internet was disconnected! Mom neglected to pay the invoice!" Now it's obvious! My ass, the WiFi password!

I raised an eyebrow and moved toward closing my window. Idiot! Although I wanted to, I can't tell him.

"Amela! Dinner is prepared!" Mom was yelling at me.

"Mom, I'm coming!" I yelled back and dashed for my bedroom door.

"Hey, hold on! Hey!" Nathan is ringing in my head, but I ignore him and close the door.

Amela, how is school going? While we are eating dinner, Mom began to question me.

"Good mum," I swiftly responded.

Despite the fact that she doesn't spend much time with me because of her job, she is the best mother in the world. She works as a nurse and puts in at least 12 hours every day. I am aware of the fact that Mom was working hard to secure a better future for me.

After dinner, I made my way upstairs to my room where I finished my homework. After that, I quickly showered before getting ready for bed.

When a loud song jolted me up, I was still in the thick of my lovely dream. Irritated, I stood up and peered at the time. 1:30 am of that.

Nathan Owen was bobbing his head up and down to the beat of the music when I got up and walked like a zombie to my window.

"Hey!" He didn't hear me when I called for him. Nathan, hello! He didn't move, though.

Don't let me have a good sleep, he thought, his head still bobbing to the loud music coming from his big speaker.

I grabbed some paper, crumpled it, and tossed it at him, hitting the top of his head. Bulls-eyes.

"What the eff?" He raised his head and fixed his eyes on me. What exactly do you want?

My world simply bowed when those lovely eyes re-met mine. Now what? In an effort to find my voice, I forced a hard swallow as my cheeks began to burn.

"Please turn down the music, see? You refuse to let us rest here "I got the words out.

"What? What? I'm not hearing you!" He was obviously mocking me since I could see him grinning as his eyes returned to his laptop and his finger tapped on the mouse choosing for the next song to play.

As I made my way back to my bed, I stomped my feet and gritted my teeth in irritation. I muttered in anger as I tried to muffle my ears with my pillow because I could still hear his loud music. I doubt I will be discovered with just one sleep if I don't do this.

I then felt something hit my feet suddenly. I slowly stood up and realized that I had thrown the crumpled paper on him. He flung it back my way. I took the piece of paper from my bed and opened it to discover writing on it, which allowed me to determine whether or not it was the one I had thrown at him without changing it in any way.

"WiFi password for a kiss?"

What a fuck?! I felt my cheeks burning really hot and I just stared at the paper again and again to make sure that "in wasn't dreaming."

When I observed Nathan scaling the tree bark, a chilly breeze filled me with wonder. He hung on to my balance as he leaped into my chamber, which I observed.

He began approaching towards me, and as he did, my eyes widened and I took a step back. Dear God! He was about to kiss me, was he not?

"So, you want a kiss or you'll give me your password?"

Elodie took a deep breath and knocked, the sound echoing in the quiet corridor. A moment of silence passed, broken only by the pounding of her heart. Finally, the door snicked open, revealing a surprised Dashiell. 'Can't you see the Do Not Disturb sign? We don't want-' His initial frown quickly morphed into confusion at the sight of his wife. 'What are you doing here?' he demanded. 'Your girlfriend invited me,' Elodie replied, her voice laced with icy calm. She tried to peer past him, but his broad frame blocked the view. A saccharine voice chimed in from within the room. 'Elodie? Oh dear, we didn't mean for you to find out this way. It's just that-' Elodie cut her short. 'Oh please, Selene. Spare me the fake apologies. You wouldn't have sent me all those texts if you didn't want me to know.' Dashiell shifted uncomfortably, his face a mask of annoyance. 'What texts?' Elodie stepped past him, taking in the luxurious suite with a sardonic smile. The king-sized bed, the scattered rose petals, the lingering scent of sex – it all painted a vivid picture of their betrayal. She looked up at Dashiell, her gaze unwavering. 'I want a divorce.' ****** Dashiell lived a life of luxury, surrounded by the best things money could buy.
