Chapter 1 No.1

What the Hell Was That?

I stood there, looking at Nash as he was on bended knee. Then I did what any normal, sane girl would do. I ran away.

"What the hell?" Nash asked.

"Uh, Nash, that shouldn't have happened," Noah said.

"Thank you, Captain Obvious," Nixon said.

Nash stood up and looked at them.

"What are you waiting for, Nash? Go after her, you tool!" They told him.

"Oh, right," he said as he chased after me.

They shook their heads while rolling their eyes.

"This wedding will be interesting," Nate said as everyone gave him a skeptical look.

"Mags! Stop!" I heard him say as he ran after me until he tackled me.

Well, damn it.

He flipped me over and sat on top of me. "A simple yes or no would have sufficed."

"Sorry, I panicked." I gave him a sheepish look.

"You panicked?" He gave me a strange look as I gave him an innocent smile.

"Yep." I nodded my head.

"You ran."

"Yep."

"Really?"

"Well, everyone was looking at me, and they made me nervous."

"This situation seems familiar," Pat said to Nate as they walked up.

Nate rolled his eyes. "You won't let that go, will you?"

"You made me drop my Slurpee."

"I replaced said Slurpee."

We watched Nate and Pat as they bickered over a Slurpee. I'll never understand why.

Nash shook his head. "Well?"

"Yes." Then I smiled as he crashed his lips into mine.

"Well, it's about damn time! Can we eat now?" We heard Nixon ask. Oh, boy. Never get between Nixon and food when he wants to eat. It never ends well.

Nash got off me and helped me up. He slid the engagement ring onto my left ring finger. Then he slipped his hand into mine, leading me back towards the restaurant.

We took our seats as Nate stood up and tapped his glass, getting everyone's attention.

"I would like everyone's attention!" He said as we looked at him.

"Of course," Nixon said, making everyone snicker.

"My son, the comedian." He shot Nixon a look, who put his hands up in defense. "I watched this young woman grow up and become the wonderful lady she is today. It took a lot to get to this point, but we did. I'm so happy to have her become a part of our family. To Maggie!" He toasted me.

"Hey, what about me?" Nash asked Nate.

"Yeah, you, too."

We laughed.

"Thanks, Dad!" Nash said.

"Well, you have been a tool. We need some good in this family," Pat said.

"Ma!" Nash said.

"Do I lie? No. Now, hush, you tool."

Nash grumbled as I giggled. Poor Nash. He couldn't catch a break no matter what he did. I leaned over and kissed his cheek.

They brought dinner to us. While we ate, we talked.

"So, are you ready, Maggie?" Nathan asked me.

"Ready to get married? Definitely," I said.

"No. Nathan means are you ready for the wedding planning?" Noah asked.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Oh, Margaret. I'm glad I caught you before you took off like a banshee. I have so many ideas for your wedding," Lucille said as she walked over to me.

I looked at everyone as they became quiet. Oh, boy. Why will the wedding planning get crazy?

*****

After fending off Lucille, thanks to Pat, everyone had left. Nash and I stayed since the restaurant was on the beach. We took off our shoes and walked around barefoot.

Feeling the sand flow through my toes always reminded me of the summer days. I loved the feeling. Nash held my hand as we walked.

"You know, for a minute, I thought you would have said no," he said.

"And what if I did?"

He stopped and turned to me. "I was praying you didn't."

Nash held a serious gaze.

"Nash?"

"Mags." He dropped his shoes and took my hands into his. "I lost you a few times. I couldn't bear to lose you again. I lost a part of me when I lost you. You make me whole. Without you, I'm empty. With you, I'm alive."

A smile curled upon my lips. "It doesn't matter. I would have said yes."

He placed his hand under my chin as he pulled me into a kiss. He gave me a sweet kiss until he deepened it. I put my hands on his back as I kissed him back.

Today marked a turning point for us. We were on our way to start our lives together forever. First, we needed to deal with Lucille and the rest of the Grays. What could go wrong?

For as long as Emily can remember, she has wanted to overcome her shyness and explore her sexuality. Still, everything changes when she receives an invitation to visit one of the town's most prestigious BDSM clubs, DESIRE'S DEN. On the day she chose to peruse the club, she noticed three men, all dressed in suits, standing on the upper level, near the railing. Despite her limited vision, she persisted in fixating on them. Their towering statues belied the toned bodies concealed by their sharply tailored suits-or so she could tell. The hair of two of them was short and dark, and the third had light brown-possibly blond-hair that reached the shoulders. The dark, crimson background incised their figures, exuding an air of mystery and strength. They stood in stark contrast to the unfiltered, primal energy that pulsed through the club. Shocked by the desires these men aroused in her, she was disappointed to learn that they were masters seeking a slave to divide and conquer. She couldn't afford the fee, and she also realized that they were outside her league. Emily hurriedly left the club, feeling disappointed and depressed, unaware that she had also caught the group's attention. A world of wicked pleasure, three handsome men. Over the years, they have lived a life of decadence, their lavish lair serving as a stage for their most sinister desires. But despite the unending parade of willing subjects, one woman sticks out. A mysterious stranger with white porcelain skin and a killer body, a slave, a name with no address, the first lady to attract their eye and they will go to any length to obtain her no matter the consequences.
