Chapter 1 Meeting him

"Who's Clara?" A loud voice could be heard in the setting room filled with girls and there behold a beautiful innocent girl shivering at the mention of her name. "Is me ma'am" an innocent looking girl with Mercury_red hair which tumbled over her shoulders could be seen standing up as her eyes caught a glimpse of the girls who were giving her a dangerous gaze.

"I can see that you're new in this business!" Please do have it in mind that you will be going out tonight! You've already been chosen by one of our clients. The woman's words echo in her ears like a trumpet as she trembles in fear.

She had already been chosen? Who's she going out with? She thought as she glared at her best friend Jane who was glaring at her with sympathy. Jane knew her conditions. She knew that she wasn't supposed to be here but she has no choice and this will be the first time that she will be sleeping with someone as a slut. Is she really going to sell her body just to treat her hospitalized mother?

Their meeting was finally over. Clara walked towards madam Kim who had promised to give her the $50000 which she had been looking for in the past one years but it's going to be under one condition. If only she was going to be one of her girls which she finally agrees on. She's going to be working with her for two years as a prostitute. That was their agreement and she was to Abide by it.

Her eyes widened open as the fifty years old woman gave her the money which was placed in a small bag. "Thank you so much ma'am!" I really appreciate everything you've done for me! Finally! there was a smile on her face. At least with this money her grandmother will undergo kidney surgery. She was happy and so was her friend (Jane) who just approached her.

On their way to the hospital, they discuss some certain things and that was when Clara opened up her fears to Jane. She was really scared of the wrong decision she just made. She regretted it. "I really do understand you but you have to do this for the sake of your grandmother".

"If not for this opportunity, where would you have seen such money? Jane told her and she will always remind her of it. Jane was an orphan who had three siblings under her care. She was able to pay their school fees and house rent with the little money her Madam always gives her every month. If someone like her were able to survive poverty then why can't she survive it?

"But my grandmother; she will be so mad at me if she finds out that I sold myself just for money". She wailed out as her friend huffed. "Don't worry! She won't have to find out about it. Jane assured them as they lumbered inside the hospital.

Her grandmother (Maria) was awoken by the time they walked inside her ward. A smile crept through her lips as she approached her grandmother. "Momma; I've finally seen the money! You will be going under_ surgery tomorrow okay! But her grandmother Maria was confused. Where did she get such money?

"You're joking right?" Where do you see such an amount of money? Have you forgotten that the whole money was ($50000) and not ($5000). Her grandmother questions her as she beams a smile. "Yes momma!" Don't worry because I got the money.

Maria, her grandmother, was worried! She knew that Clara wouldn't be able to raise such Money by herself. "I want the truth from you Jane.....! Her eyes glared at Jane who had already known the question she was going to be asked of and she was scared of it pondering if she were to lie for her or tell her the truth"

"Did my daughter sell her body?" Shiver ran down her spine as she glared at Clara who seemed Frightened as well. "I....I.... don't....., I don't_ know_ you_ can_ ask _ her. She retorted.

Clara was silent for a while. She really hates lying to her. "Oh momma; how could you think of such a thing?" I will never sell my body to men! She pouted out angrily as her grandmother heaved a sigh of relief.

"That's good!" I may not know where you had seen the money but please my daughter, never sell your body for money", My condition shouldn't make you do such a thing. Her grandmother advises not knowing that her daughter has been under the influence of peer pressure.

Both of them stayed with her for thirty minutes before departing. Checking the time it was 7pm. "We have to hurry up right now!" Our madam says that you will be going out with one of our customers tonight by 8pm. Jane uttered, reminding her of it as they boarded a cab.

Glaring at her reflection she could see how sexy she was. She was putting on a singlet red gown Which brought out her curvy hips and her b**bs a little out. She was feeling so uncomfortable but she had to do this. What choice does she really have?

Just then, she sighted her best Jane. "You've to relax yourself a bit!" Your nervousness is just too much! Jane Shrugged at her while holding her hands. I just can't help it.

"I understand! This was also how I feel on my first day here but you will master it. You will get over the anxiety and fears very soon. Just give it sometimes and those fears will fade away. She confronted her as usual before her madam could notice it.

"Remember all my instructions and teaching!" I'm sure you wouldn't forget every styles which you've learnt so far

I died on a Tuesday. It wasn't a quick death. It was slow, cold, and meticulously planned by the man who called himself my father. I was twenty years old. He needed my kidney to save my sister. The spare part for the golden child. I remember the blinding lights of the operating theater, the sterile smell of betrayal, and the phantom pain of a surgeon's scalpel carving into my flesh while my screams echoed unheard. I remember looking through the observation glass and seeing him-my father, Giovanni Vitiello, the Don of the Chicago Outfit-watching me die with the same detached expression he used when signing a death warrant. He chose her. He always chose her. And then, I woke up. Not in heaven. Not in hell. But in my own bed, a year before my scheduled execution. My body was whole, unscarred. The timeline had reset, a glitch in the cruel matrix of my existence, giving me a second chance I never asked for. This time, when my father handed me a one-way ticket to London-an exile disguised as a severance package-I didn't cry. I didn't beg. My heart, once a bleeding wound, was now a block of ice. He didn't know he was talking to a ghost. He didn't know I had already lived through his ultimate betrayal. He also didn't know that six months ago, during the city's brutal territory wars, I was the one who saved his most valuable asset. In a secret safe house, I stitched up the wounds of a blinded soldier, a man whose life hung by a thread. He never saw my face. He only knew my voice, the scent of vanilla, and the steady touch of my hands. He called me Sette. Seven. For the seven stitches I put in his shoulder. That man was Dante Moretti. The Ruthless Capo. The man my sister, Isabella, is now set to marry. She stole my story. She claimed my actions, my voice, my scent. And Dante, the man who could spot a lie from a mile away, believed the beautiful deception because he wanted it to be true. He wanted the golden girl to be his savior, not the invisible sister who was only ever good for her spare parts. So I took the ticket. In my past life, I fought them, and they silenced me on an operating table. This time, I will let them have their perfect, gilded lie. I will go to London. I will disappear. I will let Seraphina Vitiello die on that plane. But I will not be a victim. This time, I will not be the lamb led to slaughter. This time, from the shadows of my exile, I will be the one holding the match. And I will wait, with the patience of the dead, to watch their entire world burn. Because a ghost has nothing to lose, and a queen of ashes has an empire to gain.
