My chest was heaving over his as he stepped closer letting me hear his heartbeats. "There is no one who can destroy me, if you can then I will make you mine." His blue eyes were peeping in mine as if he was pledging it. The promise he needed to fulfill for his own benefits and he crossed his limits as his lips moved on mine as if they were only made up to taste him. The volcanic anger broke his trance as I pushed him from me. He smirked and straightened up, wiping out the saliva from the corner of his lip with pride watching me burning in anger. "I know, your brother is your life; you won't deny your brother, can you?" He laughed resting his hands in his pockets. "It will be really fun to share a life and especially a bed with your business rival right?"
Bad Blood
Chapter 1: A Way To Home
Sana Anderson,
I dragged my bag through the crowd and was waiting for Antonio to show up. He told me he would pick me up from the airport, but as usual; I knew he would be late.
It's nice to stand here again in the middle of the airport watching excited people and overjoyed children tugging their parents' hands. This chaos had a weird calmness embedded in it.
I stood here five years ago, after my dad's tragic accident. The news of dad's sudden death snatched the purpose of my life and I had to leave the country to fulfill his wish of becoming CEO of Anderson Group, which gave me an extra reason for living.
Ping....
The sound of the elevator pulled me out of my thoughts and I entered, ignoring my unpleasant past. I am here now. I need to focus on the company and building the Anderson group again.
A man inside the elevator looked up at me from his phone and straightened his posture, staring at me. He was dressed in a lavish suit, and was carrying a decorative safe in his hand, holding it protectively. I smirked and stood facing the door as it got closed.
"New in Chicago?"
"Kind of." I said.
He laughed, listening to my answer, and walked closer to me.
"You don't know me?" I turned to look at him. There was a bright light in his mischievous eyes.
"I don't need to know you." The door of the elevator opened with a ping and I walked out, pulling my bag with me. Men these days...
"Hey...... Beautiful... wait." I rolled my eyes as he ran behind me, but I kept walking ahead.
I stopped in my way as he held my shoulder with his hand. He was daring to test my patience. I held his wrist and twisted with all my strength, pinning him to the floor.
"Ahhh." The briefcase he was holding fell down from his hand as he tried to struggle.
"Know about your limits. It will be better for you. Understood?" I pressed him hard, making his hand position worse. He nodded vigorously instead, and I freed him. He got up, massaging his wrist, gazing at me curiously.
I picked up my bag and left him there to watch me walking away from him. I hate when men try to use their authority over me.
Out of nowhere, my hand got pulled back, making me lose my balance. But before I could land over the footpath, firm hands picked me up, spinning my world, scaring the shit out of me.
"Ahhhh" I screamed, closing her eyes, getting ready to land on hard ground, but loud laughter erupted, slicing my scream. I opened my eyes, hearing a known sound. It was Antonio bursting into uncontrollable laughter, witnessing my misery. This idiot, I thought, that man came.
"Welcome Apple pie." He cheered, putting me down on my legs, flashing me his teasing smile.
"Idiot, is this a way to welcome your elder sister?" He suppressed his laugh and hugged me after I slapped his arm hard. I couldn't scold him more than this, so I signed and hugged him back.
I broke into the hug and messed up his hair deliberately. He glared while roaming his fingers through his brown hairs to tame them. I smirked, watching him getting tied up, reminding me of a few habits that never leave.
"What are you wearing?" He asked.
"What's wrong with them?" I checked for dirt but found nothing.
"You are heiress of Anderson Group and they are quite simple." I rolled my eyes at him and started walking towards the car, which was parked near to us. I laughed at him as he hurried to keep up with me.
"They are comfortable and I didn't want to wear anything uncomfortable during the entire journey, besides no one knew about me yet." The driver took the bag from us.
"From your journey, where is your jet?" he asked me again, giving me his all attention.
"Sophia needed it, so I lent her for a week. She will come to Chicago soon." I said.
City has changed a lot. The roads and buildings were the same. The park was still filled with children and loving couples. I slid down the window and a breeze carried a fragrance of brewed coffee from a nearby cafƩ. Everything is the same, yet different in its aspects.
"Where is mom? Is she still dating that Peter guy?" We don't have a problem as long as he keeps her happy and takes care of her.
Last year, Antonio told me about him and his mom. At first, we didn't like it at all, but after dad's death, his company helped mom to cope with her grief.
"She is in office as usual and yaa, they are still together. Mom recovered better than we expected." It's still a little difficult for him to accept Peter into the family. He tried to laugh it out but couldn't control his sad tone.
"It's ok, monkey. She needs someone in her life beside us, too." I patted his shoulder, and he just nodded, putting his phone beside.
"I missed you so much." He hugged me again.
"I am here now and won't be going anywhere." I rubbed his back. He is quite emotional but always acts tough as stone in front of everyone, but with me, he doesn't have any covers. He is my baby brother, and he will always be.
"Do you find anything about -"
"No. Not yet. Why don't you forget him? It's been almost five years. If he wanted to contact me, he would have at least." His response was expected. He still couldn't find Orian. He was our childhood friend.
Around a few months ago, before dad's accident, I found his goodbye letter, and he left the country giving no reason. We searched for him but couldn't find him.
"Let's not talk about him again. I am happy as you returned and don't want to ruin my mood. We arrived at home." He changed his mood so quickly, and dragged me out of the car with him.
He dragged me further with excitement, towards the Anderson mansion. A warm welcoming interior of white and light brown color. A large sitting area traced her dark chocolate brown carpets over the marble flooring.
The reflection of a shining chandelier magnifies the beauty of the mansion. Every corner was decorated with my favorite orchid flowers. They must be ordered by mom before she leaves for the office. Raven ran happily, oozing tears from her eyes from the kitchen, whipping her hands with a towel.
