The truth became clear, she had nothing but fear for him. And he would rather be hated by her, afraid of her and he chooses to keep her with him than to let her be free...

Chapter 1 If...

The room was dark, and the street lights streamed in from the windows, reflecting the eerie of the furniture.

A small and thin woman was nestled behind the door. If it wasn't for her body trembling slightly, in the dark it was hard for anyone to know her, who was as silent as death, that person was actually a living person.

The woman hugged her pillow, covered her head, every time she heard footsteps outside the house, her body trembled even more. She couldn't calm down a bit until the footsteps completely disappeared.

Suddenly, there was another footstep outside the door, and footsteps could be heard in the distance. The sole of the shoe touches the ground in turn, making a "nah, nah, nah" sound.

From the moment the footsteps sounded, the woman's body suddenly trembled violently.

As the footsteps drew closer, the woman finally raised her head uncontrollably and covered her mouth with her hand. It seemed the footsteps were the talisman that pierced her heart over and over again. Her eyes widened in horror, and in the darkness a glint of tears appeared in them.

The footsteps finally stopped outside the house. The visitor seemed to pause for a moment before raising his hand and knocking on the door behind the woman.

"Boom, boom..."

"Wow..."

Perhaps the knock on the door was too sudden and caught the woman off guard. She couldn't help but whimper. As the pounding sound escaped from her throat, she suddenly became more frightened, the hand covering her lips tightened even more, and even buried her head in her knees.

"Alina, open the door." Moments later, a male voice rang out from outside the house. Deep and magnetic, there is a temptation in the tone, as if disturbing a woman's mind.

Hearing this sound, the woman almost went crazy, waving her arms and legs on the ground, crawling to the bedroom closest to her. But apparently only a few feet away, but the woman couldn't get over after a few stumbling blocks.

"Alina, open the door quickly, or I will open the door myself."

The man's voice spoke again. His tone was obviously very pleasant, but when his voice came into the house through the gap in the door, it made the woman's heart feel a little hostile and cold.

The woman became more and more frantic, finally crawling into the bedroom, falling down several times on the way.

The moment the woman finally entered the bedroom, there was a sound of keys clattering from outside the house, and then the sound of the key being inserted into the keyhole.

The woman was desperate and had nowhere to escape to, so she ducked under the bed without hesitation.

A second later, the hallway door opened. Footsteps sounded again, once again, one after another like a hammer to the woman's heart.

Footsteps directly entered her bedroom. In the darkness, the woman could clearly see the man's feet stopped in front of the bed. She pursed her lips, not even daring to breathe, for fear that she might be noticed by the man nearby.

"Alina, what are you hiding under the bed? Are you trying to entertain me?"

The man's voice spoke again, and the woman jumped, almost choking. But she still dared not move, holding the traces in her heart despair.

"Alina, you can go out by yourself, or I pull you out, you should understand, if you ask me to pull you out, what will happen to you."

The man seemed really impatient, said.

In, obviously, there are a bit more threats and warnings.

After a long time, the woman finally crawled out to the other side of the bed, little by little. She lowered her head, silently standing beside the man on the bed, her face like ashes in the dark.

The sound of footsteps echoed in her ears, and the woman was scared. She wanted to escape, but she dared not escape. She knew all too well that she could not escape. Maybe in this life, she couldn't get rid of this man.

"Okay, come home with me, look at your dirty body." The man walked in front of the woman, put his hand on her shoulder, spoke softly to her.

The woman slowly raised her head, looking at the man's angelic face in the dark, somewhere in her body suddenly trembled with pain. The more tender he was, the more fearful she became. She couldn't imagine what would await her as she followed this man back to that lavish and terrifying prison.

If on that day a year ago she didn't cross that path and didn't save that person, that would be great. No, that's not true. If she hadn't been kind enough to save the demon in front of her, hidden under the face of an angel, on that night eight years ago, nothing would have happened now.

...

Night eight years ago...

Because of the festival, City A was able to clearly feel autumn. Especially at night, the coolness in the wind brings a little chilly feeling.

Alina cycled with her exhausted body and then drove home.

It's 11:30 p.m, the road isn't too crowded with pedestrians, which makes her a little scared, especially during the day she has already received her salary and she is carrying the newly paid salary home.

After cycling through the most remote places, seeing the lights gradually increase, Alina relaxed a little, her aching legs slowed down when she didn't know.

Suddenly, a noisy sound resounded from a small alley not far in front of Alina. She couldn't help but be a little curious, but also a little uneasy. After thinking about it, Alina decided to quickly leave, unless someone called for help, she would go in and take a look, otherwise, she would not stop looking.

As the distance narrows, the noisy sound becomes clearer and clearer. But there were so many people screaming, Alina pricked her ears, completely unable to hear what they were arguing about. She could only say roughly that those people seemed to be fighting by party.
