Chapter 1 Meet the Main Characters

In the Eastern part of Nigeria, there was a young handsome boy who was tall for his age. He had great charisma and was admired by all.

A lot of ladies and young girls who were older than him found him attractive and irresistible.

Those in the same school with him made him their school son while they called themselves, his school mother.

So, at that young age of twelve, he was introduced to the act of sextual intercourse.

He would spend his weekends with one lady friend after another.

His studies suffered but to him, it was made up for by the numerous material and monetary gifts his lady friends gave him that his parents could not afford to give him.

He had more expensive clothes than he could care to count and enough money to throw around.

Felix looked at the young girl and was enchanted by her. Her boldness and courage's was admirable and her beauty, captivating.

He felt something shift in the region of his chest and knew that he could not afford to lose her. If giving in to her request would make her his, well he would do it.

'Okay, I accept'. He said without meaning to keep it.

'Swear it on your life'. She asked wanting to be sure that she was not letting herself in for a huge heartbreak.

If Felix was shocked, he didn't let on.

'I do', he swore.

Gift was happy but sad at the same time because she knew that it was possible that she would fall under the influence of the obsession that had ruined the relationships and marriages of her sisters. A sexual Obsession.

But she could only pray that she be spared that. So, she pushed the fear to the back of her mind and accepted the outstretched hand of Felix as they walked away, hand in hand.

There began a steamy love affair. But will this love affair stand the test of time? Or is it destined for doom?

When she met Felix, she was determined that he must be hers. She was prepared to take her sister's first and only love without any care of how it would hurt and scare her emotionally for life.

Felix himself who had suffered such a massive heartbreak and considered himself unlucky in love given his first experience with love, fought his feelings for Mercy but had to succumb.

Mr. Eze, Mercy's wealthy father wanted only someone who was rich and affluent to marry his first daughter and did not accept his daughter's choice. Would he succeed in his ventures to match his daughter to the sons of his more affluent friends?

Who would Felix eventually get when Mr. Eze even offered him Mary in exchange for the one he really wanted- Mercy?
