The Dutch obsession Chapter 1 Introduction

Chapter one

"If you really want her to survive, you would have to abandoned her. Only her pains, tears, and struggle will make her destiny fulfill." A masculine voice spoke.

"But she is my only child, how can I do that?" Dale answered the man.

"The Oracle has spoken, if you continue to keep her by your side. Bad luck will keep visiting you and the wrath of the gods will be descended upon you. "The masculine voice speaks again.

Dale stared at Ivy, her innocent looking face. Maybe it's true she had a lot of bad energy running around her stars. When she was born, his wife who was her mother died, on her naming ceremony day he lost his brother who accidentally fell inside a deep pit.

He exhales some airs and breath in some air heavily. Ivy has been sick from birth, he did spend half of his wealth to ensure she enjoyed life. But now his wealth is draining, and her health status seems to be deteriorating every day.

"If he abandoned her, won't the mother yell at him and says maybe actually it was because he wasn't the biological father."

Aren't you still going to do something ?" A feminine voice asked.

There was silence, the woman being asked look pale and wore an expensive silk. She has a golden eye with a star pendant around her neck.

Her face was expressionless, probably no remorse for anything she did have done in the past.

"I'm not going to interfere, it is for her betterment. She would be my weakness, I do not need anything that will hinder my plans." The woman says.

"But she's your daughter" the attendant says to her. At the mention of that, her eyes flipped and change colors.

"Oh, pardon my rudeness, your highness." The attendant says and goes down on her knees." But please send her an indirect helper."

"That should be your goals, but you can never ever make the outer worlds to sees that I'm the one helping her. We are preparing for a battle, we shouldn't let a human child hinder our plans. " The woman explain and dismissed her.

"Yes, bring her out. She is a really bad luck." The villagers chorused among themselves.

"Master" a voice called.

"Go straight to the point." Dale told him.

"We should really get ivy out of here, the villagers are coming for her." He reported.

"So?" He asked without flinching or with fears in his voice.

"She might be injured, I heard she will be used up as a sacrifice to the gods of the land to drive away the drought and bad event that has been happening in this town."

"Let them do it then." Dale answered.

"What...?"

"I mean my words, I'm tired of fighting for her constantly. Now she should take hold of shield and buckler and help herself." Dale replied.

"This is not my masters, who are you?" The voice asked.

"So smart of you to have knows that this is not your master. Ivy was born out of the bloom vine. She should be offered as a sacrifice for my boss." The voice says.

"I knew it that my master is possessed." He speaks out.

"Reason?"

"My master cares so much about his daughter and will do anything to save her, but of recent, he starts showing hatred to her." He spouted.

"So, what do you want me to do now?" He says with great laughter.

"I want you out of his body."

"Then to which body if I'm out of this." The demonic spirit asked.

"I don't know." Dale servant replied.

Take her out, we will be burned down this mansion if the product of bad luck is not bought out. The villagers say.

"Yes, bring her out."

Ivy sat with her back leaning against the wall with her legs sprawled to her chin. She shivers and her hands were trembling, her vision becomes blurry.

"Father!" She had called to confirm if he is within her reach to pass her the potion that will cool her nerves. But no answers.

The sound of a cringing blade tearing through the heart of someone was heard. Dale had killed his servant. He pulls out the blade and lick the blood off it.

He stepped out, with his shoes making a dreadful noise.

"Father" ivy calls out again.

"You want my daughter, ivy? I will surely bring her to you, people, at the village square at 6pm. I will adhere to the time, you all should also stick to the time. For now, I have to show her the last respect and Love." Dale explained.

"But I do not wish for her to be killed, you can have her sold off but not as a sacrifice to appease this vast land."

"Shit... This man is talking rubbish. If he stands in our way, let no hesitate to have him killed." A voice said from within the crowd.

"I surely won't give room for that." Dale uttered.

"Tie him up and go in there to bring the evil child out." A voice command with a sarcastic smile formed on his cheeks.

"Don't you all dare to touch my daughter with your bloody hands, she is not an evil child, mind you! "

Ivy was dragged out within a twinkling of eyes." Look she even killed someone, her hands are soaked with blood, here is a liver on her hands. Maybe, she is planning to eat them." The voice said.

Dale stares at ivy and laugh so stealthily, she was probably crying, right? He loves it whenever she is in pains, that has been his major antidote.

"Look at his expression, he seems to be possessed, he is laughing whereas he's supposed to be crying. Didn't he just endeavor to save his daughter just now." A voice says while staring at him.

Both Dale and ivy was pushed into a carriage and were being stoned by the young women and kids.

A while ago, we were going to bring ivy to you as the real cause of the bad event happening in this country, but we met a corpse at their house and this little evil girl had killed him. "Is this all you want us to say?" A voice asked.

"Yes, just say this, and I will make you rich." A rich man voice replied.

"I have heard about you little demon. Since she is a little girl, she should be left out on the snow mountain to freeze to death."

"That is all?" A voice said within his breath and cursed so slowly."

"The journey to achieving our dreams has just be set. The little girl is welcome to hardship, torture, and pains. You promised me you would not interfere in her matters." A voice said from behind.

Ava, the mother of ivy, nods her head and smile. " She might be born through me, but achieving your goals and putting down all my selfish interest is my number one priority." Ava said.

"But I have one request, I want her memory erased."

"So be it."

Ivy cried her eyes out, she couldn't believe this.

Six years ago, I was a naive girl sold by my father to the powerful Sanders estate, only to be tossed onto the streets after a brutal assault they labeled "marital infidelity." I fled the country pregnant and broken, hiding from the shadow of a husband I had never even met. Now, I’ve returned to New York with my triplets to sign the final divorce papers and disappear forever. But Archibald Sanders—the man I was told was a crippled recluse—intercepted us with the cold precision of a predator. He didn't see the woman his family destroyed; he saw a gold-digger who had shamed his name. His security team hunted us to a grimy motel, using tactical force to snatch my children away and drag me to his glass-walled empire. In his office, he loomed over me, demanding a DNA test and threatening to throw me in prison while my babies were lost to the foster system. He was convinced I’d cheated, yet he stared at my sons with a haunting confusion, unable to ignore the stormy blue eyes that were a perfect mirror of his own. I stood there, paralyzed by his scent—the sharp tang of rain and expensive leather that triggered the icy dread of my worst nightmares. How could he accuse me of betrayal when he felt exactly like the monster who had shattered my life in that dark hotel room? "I'll sign anything," I sobbed, "just give me my kids." But the game changed when my five-year-old son hacked the tower’s security, holding the skyscraper hostage to save me. In the chaos, a fragile, silent boy—Archibald’s secret son—wandered into the room and reached for me as if I were his missing soul. Archibald’s face turned to stone as he tore up the agreement and locked the doors. "Until I find out why my son is looking at you like that," he growled, "you aren't going anywhere."
