The morning Bells rings
"Wake up!!!!" Lady Gogo shouts "I said wake up!!!!" The morning bell is usually Lady Gogo.
"Get your fucking lazy ass up! The chores are not going to fix themselves! Now!!!" There we go, running up and down in the morning. Everyone has something to chasing or something chasing them. My job was appointed as a kitchen maid assisting the cooks in the kitchen.
I don't want to been cut in the middle of any punishment today, this is the way to survive as black. We have no choice but to either be maids to riches lords or ladies or be concubine, roadside prostitutes that's are the choices left for a black woman.
"Isabella! What the heck are you doing here go and do some useful things!" Lady Gogo roars, her most serious job is yelling or screaming. I immediately leave the chopping of the vegetables to attend to the immediate need Lady Gogo demand, well, nothing much, That's how the morning job has to be done. Everyone running and attending to their masters. Especially when the lords demand early morning breakfast.
I quickly pick up a broom, dustpan, mobbing stick, and bucket, to join the other maids in the hallway. Cleaning and mobbing. The busiest hours of the day are always in the morning! All job has to be done before 8:00 am. That's the law made by no other than the Lord! Yes! The lord I said!! Duke of Hastings!
I'm so lucky! glad to be just a kitchen maid, being a kitchen maid doesn't have to attend to anyone else except your kitchen duties, and I love it! Why? I'm not a personal handmaid to anyone! Being a handmaid means your worst nightmare! Made any slight mistake you're done and gone, either be whip ten times or served the worst punishment of your life!
After that's, I hurried up to rush back to the kitchen but something happens along the road. "Oh my God, what the hell!" Not Lady Emily, "are you blind?"
"I'm sorry milady, please forgive me" I begged, pick up the bucket and mob which I accidentally pour on Lady Emily's dress. "You must be stupid! How do your useless apologize going to fix this!" She thunders her voice at me. "I think too much freedom makes you people think you're special"
