STAR 'S POV
It was the early dawn of winter, the moon seemed to be at sleep, the stars mocking me from above, if you listened well enough, you could hear the light whispers of the winter wind: to walk through the woods at that time of year was like a death wish, the worst could happen. Remembering stories of ghosts and witches in the woods got me frightened at the least. It took courage to walk through those woods. The chilly weather wasn't any helpful, neither were my clothes. A white off-shoulder lace top and a red mini skirt are not an outfit for weather like this. I couldn't remember why I was in the woods in the first place, and with the clothes, I was on for that matter, I rarely go out like this, my mom always nags about how I should cover up my blossoms, to keep men from preying on me, I never quite understood it though, to me the blossoms aren't anything special, they feel too big and my pointed nipples always make it seem I'm turned on, so I'm forced to wear a bra even though I hate them.
I gasped out in relief as I approached the house, a frown following quickly realizing how mad Aunt Kate would be at me for arriving late from school. All thanks to Rose and Linda taking my bus fare, although on the bright side I did get to meet Alex, I don't think I will be forgetting how it happened anytime soon.
It was lunch break and I was on my way to the lady's until I was held back by Rose and Linda. I hate them both so much for they always overpower me so hating them is the only option, if I don't want to be visiting the clinic for a broken nose stitch every day. Rose stood in front of me, without looking up I turned to leave but Linda also blocked me from behind.
"Where are you heading?" Linda snorted out, scrutinizing me from the crown of my head to my feet. I stepped to my left, wanting to move but Rose grabbed my hair so hard I could feel it being ripped off, Linda then grabbed my bag, ransacked through, she yanked my purse from the bag as if she had a personal problem with the bag.
"Hey that's mine!" I cried, feeling so weak and powerless, wishing and hoping this will end soon.
"Linda, get me the scissors," Rose ordered with so much authority and eagerness.
Linda looked shocked, her eyes wide opened and asked "Wait, what? Are you seriously pushing through with that?"
Rose hissed through clenched teeth and answered, "Yes, dummy what does it look like?"
Linda looked unsure of the request, she hesitated for a minute but dug into her bag and brought out little scissors.
"What are you going to do with that?" I wanted to sound firm but my voice and legs were trembling so much, I whimpered.
Rose came so close to my left ear, licked it, and whispered, "since you don't know, I would be glad to tell you. I am going to give you a haircut."
"A haircut..?" I blinked, this can't be happening. "What, no, please not my hair." I struggled but I couldn't shrug them off, little tears started trickling down my eyes then. "No please don't do this, please. I will do anything you want but please, not my hair."
Rose gave a sinister laugh, Linda just stood there holding me firm, I could see the pity she felt for me in her eyes. We locked eyes and she lowered her head; I swear, if I had strength enough, I would have punched her so hard.
"Hold her still " Rose roared with so much annoyance. Linda hesitated again but obeyed, her reluctant attitude was pissing me off.
"No please don't" I begged
"You think you are so pretty and powerful with your wavy locks. Well, newsflash says bye-bye to it." She placed the scissors at my tips and was about to cut them. I closed my eyes and breathed out a shaky breath.
"What are you doing?". The deep bass of that voice could halt a beating heart, and only one person has that voice in the whole wide world. Opening my eyes, I saw Alex, Alex Baldwin. Rose and Linda let go of me in an instant. Rose looked straight at Alex. You could see the contempt and fear in her eyes. Then I heard the voice, which rarely speaks to me, laced with anger.
"Back off!" he said, but who? I was so lost in the moment I didn't realize Linda and Rose had left Alex and I by the corridor.
"Hey, are you alright? He asked.
I couldn't answer, I tried to but no words came out. His eyes, he has such a beautiful color of eyes. Emerald green and orange. His hair is sleek black and shoulder length. He was built but not fully, tall and breathtaking.
"Star... Star..." Alex was waving right at my face.
I snapped back to reality, blinking and clearing my throat, I said "Sorry I was just shocked by the whole incident, thank you for saving me again, I promise to make it up to you, anything." My tongue was lost all of a sudden. Alex just stood there smiling down at me. He took a step forward; I took a step back. He took another step forward and I took another back. Then, I ran out of space to go back. He came closer. He placed his right hand on my cheek and placed his left hand on my side, pulling me closer to him. I felt so hot, heat creeping to my face, I was flushed. He placed his nose on my hair and inhaled deeply. I closed my eyes and whispered,
"ALEX" my voice was so faint and deep, deep down, I was hoping for something more magical, something real.
"Soon , very soon." I heard that same voice whispering to me, laced with desire and need.
When I opened my eyes, Alex was gone.
I was brought back from my dream land when I heard footsteps directly behind me. I stopped and turned but there was no one. Moving forward, I heard footsteps again. Someone was trailing me. I walked faster and started to run. Fear gripped me like the clouds gripped the sky. Turning back, I tripped and was about to fall face flat to the ground but instead of the ground, I fell on something fluffy, hard but fluffy. Opening my eyes, I was met with emerald green eyes which then turned to orange right before me. My breath caught in my throat. The eyes looked so familiar.
I shot awake. My heart was beating so fast like I ran a marathon. Sweat drenched my pillow, my mouth dry. Placing my right hand on my chest, to calm my beating heart, I looked around trying to get my surroundings. But something seemed off. This is not my room. This room was spacious and had a masculine setting. A big size master bed in the middle with grey color silk bed sheets, a little cardboard by the left, a large mirror directly opposite the bed. Plain walls painted gray with all screaming power. Whoever owns this room must be a very powerful person, someone with authority. To my right, I could see a large door, I wondered what was behind that door. Where am I and how did I get here? Someone knocked on the door and came in. I was met with emerald green eyes.
