Chapter 1.

"Quickly go inside and hide!" My mum said fearfully!..

She quickly pushed me in the wardrobe and locked the door!.. I could see what is going on through the tiny hole..

A masked guy came in .. brought out a gun ! And shot my mum on her forehead. He proceeded to my dad! .. shot him on his forehead!.. checked if they were dead.. having confirmed them dead. He left the house

"Mummy!" I cried!!!

Jolting out of the dream I gasped for breath! I av been having this same dream for months now!.. I couldn't sleep!..

Suddenly my guardian walked inside my room!

Uncle John! What is he doing here again! He had been molesting me ever since!.. but I don't think I can accept it again,! Being an orphan doesn't mean I should be treated anyhow!..

I clutched the little knife I hid behind my pillow... Watching his every move!..

He climbed my bed ! Raised my gown up and was touching me with his finger.... He tried adjusting himself well to dip his d**k inside me!..

Suddenly i stabbed him In his stomach..

"Arrgghhh," he said grunting In pain..

I used the opportunity and ran outside.. without looking back!..

I saw a vehicle loaded with cement!..

Seems they will be transporting them to another place tomorrow!..

I climbed the truck!.. and went inside of it.. resting on the cements.. I don't know when sleep took over!!!

The next morning!.. I woke up and climbed out of the truck!.. only to meet myself in a new area!.. looking around.. . I walked towards a shop and sat In front of it!.

My stomach grumbled!.. gosh! Where do I get food from !"

Suddenly a girl came to the shop and bought two breads!..

Seeing the Bread! My stomach grumbled the more..

Approaching her I said "hi ! Am hungry , can u share your food with me" I said in a pleading tone!

"You see! This breads I bought! . Are my foods for today!.. one In the morning and the other one at night".. she said

"But since you need this cos u look hungry! I will share it with u" she said handing over the bread!..

I muttered a thank you! And quickly gobbled the bread!..

She looked at me with keen interest

"What's ur name" she asked

"Am Angela;, u?" I asked her

"Am Alexia! But u can call me Lexi" she said with the biggest smile!.

"Friends" she said stretching her hand forward for a shake.

I looked at her for a while.. then proceeded to shake her too!.

"Friends" I muttered*

We sat on a bench beside the shop!

"What actually brought you to the street!". Lexi asked me!

"My parents are dead!.. and my guardian tried to rape me! I tried to run away from him only to end up being here!" I said tearfully

"Well! I think we got the same story! Am an orphan too!.. and my aunt took me in !.. her husband molest me every night!.. and the day I reported to my aunt! She sent me out of the house Saying am trying to destroy her marriage!" Lexi said!..

"So how have you been surviving ever since!" I asked!.

"Well! It's an illegal means! But that's the only way I can survive on the street! She said

"I pick pocket" she whispered!

",What! That's so bad!" I shouted

"Yeah! I know! But that's the only way I survive" she said

And that's was how I joined her and started pick pocketing!...

I learned the act of pickpocketing from Alexia!.. she was a great teacher and I was a fast learner!

"See that woman purse,!.. she is holding it very carelessly!.. we will split ourselves..and operate on her!" She said!..

I understood what she meant immediately!

And we splitted ourselves.. I walked towards the woman and mistakenly hit her.. the purse fell and I quickly picked it and put it in my hoodie!

"Watch where you are going!.. you this lowlife!" She said!.

"Am sorry" I responded and quickly mixed with the crowd!.

I blew a whistle to alert Lexi!.. she quickly came to me!.. we took all the money in the purse and threw the purse away!.. I took my hoodie turned it inner out!.. and tied it on my waist revealing the big shirt I was wearing underneath!.. I packed my hair in a rough bun!.. and I held Alexia hand and walked like nothing happened!

"My purse!! Thief!!! " The woman screamed alerted everyone!

"Thief!!! It was a young boy wearing an hoodie! He stole my purse" she screamed!

"Which way did he go" a man asked her

And she pointed to a direction!.. everyone went towards the direction searching for the thief!..

I and Alexia followed the crowd looking for the thief!.

"It was fun" Alexia said laughing sitting on a bench

"The woman was like "he stole my purse" I responded laughing hard!

Come ! Let's count the money we made today

We counted everything and it was $250!

Wow!" We really made a huge sale today!

Let's treat ourselves to a nice meal!..

We said and entered a restaurant!.. we bought chicken and ate !.

Suddenly I stiffed!..

"What's wrong" Lexi asked"

I pointed to a man!."my ..myy guardian!.that tried to rape me!"

" The man that tried to rape you?" Lexia asked!

"Yeah" I stuttered

Suddenly Zack looked towards our direction

"Angela!!!!* He called loudly

"Run" I said to Lexia!.. and we ran out of the restaurant..

Zack gave us a hot chase !.. he was catching up with us!..

"Angela! You run to our shade! I will distract him" Lexia said admist breath!

Zack caught up with Lexia and held her tight!

"Where is Angela" he asked holding her tight!

"How am I supposed to know where she is" Lexia replied!.. and Zack gave her a hot slap!..

She bit his arm in retaliation

"Ouch" Zack screamed releasing his grip on her!.

And that gave Lexia the opportunity to run away!.

On getting to the shade!

I quickly ran to meet her!..

"Alexia! What happened to your face!" I asked in concern

"That bastard man slapped me ! It's nothing tho" she said and quickly ran to my side

"Angela! Guess what?"

"You know am bad at guessing" I said

"I stole the motherfucker wallet" she replied flipping out a brown wallet ...

"Yay" I highfived her and we counted the money in it!..

"Should we go out to pickpocket" Lexia asked!..

"I think it's enough for today!" We should have some rest" I replied!..

"Yeah that's true! Am kinda feeling sleepy tho" she said and laid down on the tattered mat!

I watched as she dozed off!..

I went to the window side and sat there!..

Suddenly tears fell from my eyes!..

This was not the kind of life I promised myself 🥺

How I wish my parents were still alive!.. I know I will be in a better situation!.. what will happen to my dream of becoming a doctor!..

Is this how am gonna live my life ! Pickpocketing!.. but I really have no choice!.

I looked over to Alexia!.. "we are in the same boat" .. I remembered the way my parents were killed in my presence and I cried the more!..

And that suddenly brought me to a conclusion!.. . "I will get my revenge on those that killed my parents"..

I brought out a small purse!.... Av always hid in my pockets... I brought a white handkerchief containing a small note with a signature!.. and initials HD

The killer left it there!.. and that's the only thing I could grab before leaving the house!...

"Mum and Dad!.. I will get my revenge !! I promise" I said admist tears

"Mr Hudson pov"

"Okay! I'll be on my way" I replied hanging up!. I got into my car! And drove straight to a cartel!.

"Don" I called shaking hands with him!

I sat down on the couch!..

"Hudy!.. I was going through this file! And I noticed something!.. take! Check it out" he said handing over the file to me!

I checked the name of the file!.. "is this not the documents containing Tyler's" "I thought we finished them 10 years ago!"! I asked eagerly!.

"Yeah! But I noticed something else! Check and see if you notice the same thing" don said to me

I crosschecked the file then I saw the will!...

"All my properties both home! And abroad should be given to my daughter when she clocked 18" .I read out loudly!..

That only means one thing!.. he has a daughter and she is alive! I said hastily!

"Exactly my thoughts!.. I phoned James ! The assassin we sent to them 10 years ago!.

He said he only killed the couple's per our instructions!.... And he was not aware that they had a daughter or so!..

"" Hmm" I said touching my beards!

"We have to look for her and finish her! To prevent problems" I said ..

I made a call to a guy!.."Brandon! Meet me at the cartel now" I said

"Yes boss!"

10 minutes later!.. Brandon came in!

"I av a job for you!... I need you to find and kill Tyler daughter!.. I heard she is still alive"!

"And I give you a month to do it! Unless you want ur head Rolling on the floor" I said harshly!..

"Is that taken"!..

"Yes boss" he said and went out immediately

"Are u sure he can execute the job perfectly" don asked

"He is my best assassin!.. trust me! He will do the work perfectly!" I said smiling!

Brandy drove straight to the Tyler's house to get more information.!.. on getting there!.. the house was locked ! It looked like a deserted area!...

He went to the next house and knocked!..

A woman opened the door!

"Who are you mister" she asked harshly!

"I came to enquire about the Tyler's" I replied calmly

"I don't know anything about them" she said harshly! And slammed the door to my face!.

I knocked again..and she opened the door

"This man ! What's ur problem!.. did you wa....." She stopped immediately she saw the gun in my trousers!..

"Open the door! Let's go inside! " I commanded!

And she did exactly as I said

I sat down on the couch!

"Won't you offer me water!" I said

She quickly went to bring water!

I gulped down the whole content!... And cleared my throat

"For how long av u Been staying in this house".

"Answer me truthfully or else! " I said to her

"11 years sir" she replied fearfully!

"Good!.. then you know the Tyler's family right" I asked again

"Yes sir" she replied

"Explain all u know about them!" I said double crossing my legs

"Some assassin came here ten years ago! And killed the Tyler's!.. " she said

"Is that all" I asked

"No! I think their daughter survived and Mr Tyler younger brother! Came to pick her!" She said .. "and I think she has been living with him ever since"'!! She concluded

"Did u know his name!" I asked.

"Yeah! His name is Zack" she responded!

"Did you know his address!" I asked again!..

"I don't really know it!" She said

I pressed the gun to her forehead.."you know it or not?" I asked again!

"I know it sir! It's no 24! Along crescent road!" She said fearfully!..

" Thanks for the information!.. but sorry I av to do this" I said to her before giving her 4 head shots!... She fell on the ground in her own pool of blood!..

I walked out of the house immediately!.. and drove straight to the address she gave me

On getting there!.. I knocked on the door and an old man opened the door!..

"Hi sir! Am I at Zack residence?" I asked

"Oh no!.. Zack's house is over there!.. the 3rd house " he said and closed the door!..

I went over to the 3rd house!.. on getting there!.. I saw a man coming out of the house!...

"Hi Zack" I called to confirm if he is the one!

"Sorry do I know you" he replied! Confirming my suspicion!..I showed him the gun on my waist and he froze immediately!

"Let's go in and have a small talk" I said

He opened the door and we went inside!..

"I heard your brother's daughter is staying with you!.. " I asked calmly

"Yeah! But she ran away last month! " Zack replied

"So u don't know where she might be!?" I asked again

"I saw her some days ago! When I travelled to Texas for some business trip!.. and I don't know how she got away!" He said ..

"That's means she is somewhere in Texas!" Hmmm" I said and stood up!..

" If ur words are not true! Trust me! Am coming back! And when I come back! Just know that your time is up" I said before leaving the house

"Texas!!!!! Here I come"

I said with a huge grin🤩🥰
