"Hazel, come on, we are going to be late", a young girl in a red short dress, said.

"I'm coming, Emily", a clear female voice said behind the door

As the door opened,a young girl came out dressed in a black tight short mini dress,a well done makeup,a sliver high heels, and a ginger red hair packed in a ponytail hair.

"Hazel, it's just a warmly friendly dinner", Emily said.

"I just want to look great, that's all,no strings attached", Hazel said as she blushed.

" Umm, strings attached with Darvis", Emily said.

" Hey,stop it", Hazel said.

Emily and Hazel are having dinner with their old high school friends and Darvis Hazel's high school crush was going to be there, she was so happy.

They got to the restaurant and saw their friends, Emily rushed to them so as Hazel, as Hazel sighted Darvis, she freezed. He was still looking more handsome with his cute dimple as Emily on the other hand was greeting her friends.

Hazel sat down opposite Darvis, they were five on the table, Nora, Daniel, Darvis, Emily and Hazel, and the table was filled with foods, laughs and friendly talks but Hazel kept looking at Darvis.

"So tell me Hazel, how is work", Daniel asked interrupting her gaze from Darvis.

" Well, work is going well", Hazel said as she put a sushi in her mouth.

" Tsk tsk, can you imgine Hazel, you graduated before me but I'm the director of criminal affairs and you are still a prosecutor", Nora said with voice full of mockery.

As everyone on the table stopped talking, Hazel could feel Darvis gaze on her.

"Well at least, I didn't become a prosecutor through corruption and putting innocent people in jail", Hazel said

" At least, I did something right, I'm not like someone who keeps her falling secretly for her friend Darvis", Nora said as Hazel angrily took a glass of wine and poured it on Nora's face, causing gasps in the restaurant.

"Dinner goes wrong", Emily mumbled to herself.

As Hazel angrily went out of the restaurant, emily followed her as she walked on the angrily on the passenger road, as Emily tried to catch up.

"Hazel, wait up", Emily said as she reached closer to Hazel.

"Come on, Hazel", Emily said as she hugged Hazel as Hazel wept.

"I hate Nora, he's never going to notice me", Hazel said sadly.

" Hazel"

"Ethan, this is unethical. It's criminal. She hasn't consented." Those chilling words, whispered in the sterile hum of an operating room, were the first thing I heard as consciousness flickered back. My heart pounded, cold dread snaking through my veins. Dr. Ben Carter, Ethan's old friend, was arguing with him. "She's my girlfriend, Ben. Practically my wife," Ethan scoffed, his voice laced with a terrifying casualness. "Chloe needs this kidney. Ava is a perfect match." Kidney. Chloe. My blood ran cold. The beautiful, fragile Chloe Vahn, who had always haunted our relationship, was now taking a piece of me, quite literally. I tried to scream, to move, but my body felt like lead, my throat raw. I felt a sharp tug, a searing line of fire on my side-the scalpel. Ten years of love, of sacrifice, building Ethan Reed and his company back from nothing, all for this. To be carved up like an animal for the woman he truly loved. When I finally regained full awareness, Ethan was by my bedside, a practiced look of concern on his face, spinning a lie about a ruptured ovarian cyst. But then, the overheard nurse's whispered conversation confirmed my nightmare: "Chloe's kidney transplant... he barely left her side." The pieces slammed into place. My despair solidified into a cold, hard resolve. No more. I grabbed my phone, scrolling to one contact I hadn't dared to call. Noah Hayes, Ethan's rival, a man of integrity. My finger trembled as I typed. "Noah," I managed, my voice raspy. "Are you still looking for a COO who knows Reed Innovate's strategies... and perhaps, a wife?" The silence stretched, then his voice, calm and serious, cut through the noise of my crumbling world. "My jet, seven days. LaGuardia."
