Chapter 1 Delivery

"Please Amara. You have to do this for me." Luna Clarissa begged her old friend.

"I don't think I can, Rissa." Amara replied.

"You're stronger than you think. Please do this for me. He cannot know." Luna Clarissa said in a worried tone.

"I am not sure I can. What about you?" Amara questioned.

"Don't worry about me. Please Amara." Luna Clarissa begged again.

"Okay. I'll do it." Amara replied, defeated.

"Don't let anyone see you. You know where to go. They will get nothing out of me, they mustn't find out who she is. Please love and protect her like you would your own. Tell her tales of me." Luna Clarissa said as she looked down at the little pink bundle in her arms.

Luna Clarissa gave her daughter one last kiss and handed her to her friend of 20 years.

"I will." Amara promised as she turned and ran away from the mansion like hellhounds were on her tail.

Not long after Amara left with the child she had just given birth to, Luna Clarissa went out into the hall and yelled for help. She had dismissed her guards for the evening because she couldn't trust them, they are loyal to their Alpha after all.

"What is it Luna?" A guard asked as he ran her way.

"The baby is coming. Please help me." Luna Clarissa begged.

The guard picked the Luna up like she weighed nothing and ran toward the pack hospital. The guard linked with the pack doctor as he was running through the halls like a mad man. After linking the doctor so she can get things prepared for the delivery of the future alpha, he linked his current alpha to let him know what was going on.

"Follow me" the doctor said without showing of emotion.

The guard followed the doctor into the room where he placed the Luna on the bed and left the room.

"Is he here yet?" The Luna asked devoid of emotion.

"Not yet." The doctor nervously replied.

"Don't tell him." The Luna commanded the doctor.

"I won't." The doctor promised.

"WHERE IS SHE?!" The alpha yelled, causing her and the doctor to flinch.

"I'm in here, Benjamin." Luna Clarissa said.

She knew he could follow her scent but he wanted to make a scene first. So everyone stops and bows down to him, to show him respect; although he doesn't deserve it.

The door to her room was thrown open and in walked her alpha and her mate. Watching him as he glances at her, she sees the man she fell in love with for a moment before his mistress walks in and all emotions are wiped from his face and the monster comes back out. Luna Clarissa looks up at the ceiling as as tear falls and she curses the moon goddess for pairing her with someone like him. She has spent many nights apologizing to her unborn children for who their father is.

"Well, let's get on with it." The Alpha's mistress says in a bored tone.

"I will not push until she is out of the room." Luna Clarissa said with so much hatred in her eyes, they almost caught fire but she has to remember where she is and who is here.

"But Luna, you're in labor. You cannot keep them in." The doctor replied with a horrified look on her face.

"I can and I will." Luna Clarissa said with fierce determination, "you see this little pill here, if I take it; it will kill all three of us. She leaves or we do."

"But Bennie, you promised I could be here. To watch her pain." His mistress said.

"Leave us May." Alpha Benjamin replied giving her a kiss in front of his mate.

"Whatever." May said as she left the room and slammed the door behind her.

The Truth About His Mistress

I was four months pregnant, a photographer excited for our future, attending a sophisticated baby brunch. Then I saw him, my husband Michael, with another woman, and a newborn introduced as "his son." My world shattered as a torrent of betrayal washed over me, magnified by Michael's dismissive claim I was "just being emotional." His mistress, Serena, taunted me, revealing Michael had discussed my pregnancy complications with her, then slapped me, causing a terrifying cramp. Michael sided with her, publicly shaming me, demanding I leave "their" party, as a society blog already paraded them as a "picture-perfect family." He fully expected me to return, to accept his double life, telling his friends I was "dramatic" but would "always come back." The audacity, the calculated cruelty of his deception, and Serena's chilling malice, fueled a cold, hard rage I barely recognized. How could I have been so blind, so trusting of the man who gaslighted me for months while building a second family? But on the plush carpet of that lawyer's office, as he turned his back on me, a new, unbreakable resolve solidified. They thought I was broken, disposable, easily manipulated – a "reasonable" wife who would accept a sham separation. They had no idea my calm acceptance was not surrender; it was strategy, a quiet promise to dismantle everything he held dear. I would not be handled; I would not understand; I would end this, and make sure their perfect family charade crumbled into dust.
