Chapter 1 PROLOGUE

"I Apollo Austria take you, Harmony Cortez to be my wife. My partner in life and my one true love. I solemnly vow that I will protect you, trust you, and respect you.

I promise to love you faithfully through the best and the worst. I will share your joys and sorrows and comfort you in times of need.

I promise to cherish you and uphold your hopes and dreams and keep you safe at my side. I will laugh with you and cry with you through difficult and easy regardless of where life takes us.

Whatever may come I will always be there as I have given you my hand to hold, so I give you my life to keep. All of mine now is yours. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love from this moment on for as long as we both shall live."

As she stared at their big wedding picture hanging on the wall of their room, Harmony remembered the promises Apollo had made on their wedding day. Promises that at the very beginning of their marriage were fulfilled because it suddenly changed. The marriage of her dream is now getting more complicated. After a year of being together and living in South Ridge village. Apollo started to become cold and snob, but still, she tries to manage and understand him for the sake of their marriage.

Sometimes, Harmony seems to believe in the saying "In the beginning, marriage is happy but sooner or later it's not like hot food that when you're burnt, you'll just spit it out."

Marriage has an inherent responsibility.

It is a responsibility that you and your spouse must have together. Every decision and problem must be discussed together. But what if that responsibility, only Harmony is the one who is trying to save and make it stay? They are pretending to show to the eyes of people that their marriage is well and they are happy. They're pretending to be a happily married couple in front of their family and friends.

And what if Harmony's instinct and suspicion was correct? That there was a third party in their relationship because of Apollo's sudden coldness to her? She believed that her husband has another girl. And it all started when this Trina "the ultimate mistress of the town" intruded.

Will she become like her friends in South Ridge? Which had a miserable life because their partner has cheated and betrayed them?

Of course No! That's why Harmony is determined to find it out. She will fight for her right and she will never allow anyone to destroy her marriage with Apollo. She will not allow Trina to destroy her childhood dream, to have a complete and happy family.

That's why she will fight for her husband whatever it takes even if she's a Fragile wife!

"You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
