"Ah... Dan... right there..." "Laura, you're so much tighter than she is. That wolfless reject is just a boring log in bed. Once I find my true mate, I'll kick her out."

On our second engagement anniversary, I came home early with a gift, only to hear my fiancé saying those exact words to my own cousin-while writhing naked on my bed.

I unlocked the front door and stepped into the foyer. "Dan?" I called out softly, slipping off my heels.

Dead silence. But as I took a deep breath, a violent spasm twisted my stomach. The wine bottle nearly slipped from my fingers.

Even as a "wolfless" Omega, my senses were sharp enough to instantly detect the stench polluting my home. The scent was thick, musky, and nauseating-the heavy, unmistakable smell of raw lust.

It was Dan's scent, tightly tangled with a cloyingly sweet vanilla fragrance.

My heart slammed against my ribs. My bare feet made no sound on the wooden stairs. With every step, the sickening cocktail of their intertwined scents grew stronger, completely masking the faint, fresh scent of wild lilies I had worked so hard to maintain in my home.
