Angela wiped the sweats off her face as she moped
the floor of the kitchen. It was
saturday, so she has decided to keep everywhere
clean and
tidy.
She did the cleaning in a hurry and started preparing dinner. She
didnât go to her boutique that
very day. She just felt like resting at home.
David, her dear husband would soon be
returning from work. She wanted him to eat as soon as he returns and
take some rest.
She heaved as she ran about the kitchen.
âI am tired. Iâm just stressed up. I think i nee-d a
maidâ She
sighed, nodding to her thoughts.
Angela was in her late
twenties. She got married to
David three years ago, but they
are yet to have an issue.
Angela and david had been friends right from their
university days. They fell in love
with each other and were always found together.
After
Davidâs graduation, securing a job bec@mÂŁ a
problem. Angela also tried all she could to help David get a job.She
lied to her
father on several ocas-sions
inorder to estort money from
him to help Davidâs job seeking
process. However,David later got a job
in a very rich company.
It happened that when Angela
eventually graduated from the
university,she found it very
ha-rd to get a job.Despite everything her father did.David
was not left out in helping her
seek for job but all to no
avail.
David,later convinced her
to worry about nothing since
he had the money to cater for them.
After their wedding,David
opened a cosmetic shop for
her,according to her
wish.
David bec@mÂŁ more and
more successful as if their marriage had a hand in it.They
enjoyed a sweet and ro-mantic
union without troubles,but the
only worry that was lur-k-ing in
the corner was their inability to
have a child yet. They had gone to different
hospitals to find out the cause
of the problem.However,all the
doctors kept saying the same
thing.That thereâs nothing
wrong with any of them,While urging them to wait for Godâs
time.This didnât bother David at
all.He believed Godâs time is the
best.He remembered a couple
who spent up to 10yrs
together before the wife concieved.Hence, the situation
at hand didnât affect his

room and k!$$ÂŁd him welcome.
âHow was work today?âShe
asked as she collected the

âGood,my dear.Just that i am
tired,weak and hungryâHe
replied.
âThen,its not a problem.I will
take care of thatâAngela said as
she took him by the hand and led
him in.
It was actually late in the night
when Angela brou-ght up the t©pic of bringing in a
maid.David objected to this
idea.He wondered why she
would want to bring in a
maid.Angela never did any
laundry. The washing was always done by the dry
cleaner.They were only living in
a flat and not two storey. What
could make her want to bring
in a maid?
He totally rejected the idea.Angela only cooked in the
evenings when she gets back
from her cosmetics shop.They
normally take beverages with
bre-ad in the morning,though
Angela sometimes prepare something different.
Angela bec@mÂŁ sad and moody
at her husbands disaproval.
But little did she know she was
asking for her downfall.
âHoney, do you think this idea of
bringing in a maid is
right?â David asked Angela who
was alre-ady sad that her husband refused to grant
her request.
âYes,i donât see anything wrong with that. letâs just bring
a maid.
âWhat do we nee-d a maid for?â David asked. He too
was not happy.
âSo i can fully concentrate on
my business. The new maid will be doing the cooking and keeping the home clean. plea-se
my dearâ Angela
pleaded. BecauseDavid never wanted to see her sad,
he gave
her the go ahead.
Angela bec@mÂŁ happy again but she never knew she was
calling for trouble.

âAngela my daughter. You are
looking so beautifulâ It was Mrs. Uwa, her mother.
Angela smiled as she sat on the sofa. âMum, everyone knows to well that i am not more

than you are. I am only but your ph0tocopy and
Dadâs carbon
copy. So the both of you are the
real beautyâ She gesticulated. Her mother nee-d no
soothsayer to tell her that her
beloved daughter was living in harmony with david,
her
husband.
Angela had actually visited her parents inorder to tell them about her plan of getting
a
maid, so her mother could help
her look for one.
âMy daughter.i donât support thisâ her mother cuts in.
âWhy mum?âAngela just couldnt see any reason why her mother should stand
against this.
âDavid your husband,i believe
loves you so much and will do
almost anything for you.If you
are finding the house chores ha-rd ,discuss it with him and
see if he will profer a better
solution.The greatest mistake
you will make in your marriage
is giving another women the
opportunity to take care of your husband for youâŠ..â
âMum but i am not bringing in
a maid to take care of my
husband for meâAngela

Mr. Ben Having some of the poems in the first edition of the poem collection, âThe P.O.T (Poured Out Thoughts)â published in several poetry magazines as High On Poems, Earthborne Magazine, Deadsnakes and so on, the author has ushered in the second, titled âThe P.O.T (Poured Out Thoughts) ---The Reloaded.
It is said to be âreloadedâ because there are other poems to be added to make this edition slightly richer than the first. With poems as âOut of the Boxâ, âDad Loves Meâ, âHeralding Godâs Magnificenceâ being published in notable poetry journals and magazines, the sequel is hoped to make an impact to the entire world, beginning with the readers.
The Table of Contents has the additional poems that readers, who have read the first edition, would realize. They are intended to look into general issues, family, gender, parental, religious (Christian faith), children, love and personal/motivational.
The aim behind this piece is simple. As said in the first edition, it is about entertaining, enlightening, inspiring or motivating and enabling people think for themselves.
Worthy of Note: The author believes that subsequent edition(s) of the work would carry the above-stated aim.
