PROLOGUE
Divina and I were supposed to leave later with Divina so she could accompany me to the market. That's why I'm going to wash some of my clothes so they'll be dry when I get back.
I'm heading to the back of the kitchen to do the laundry because that's what Manang Linda instructed me to do, and there's supposed to be a washing machine there that we can use, but I don't know how to use it. I'm more accustomed to handwashing, especially since that's what I used to do back in our province.
"Divina, where can I do the laundry with the well?" I ask as she's busy slicing onions.
"Go over there on the side near the garden, there's a well there," she says, still focused on what she's doing.
"Okay, thanks."
I follow Divina's instructions and am greeted by a large river, so I'm amazed because I haven't fully explored the entirety of this mansion since yesterday.
"How amazing, they have their own river here," I say with delight, quickly approaching. I grab a pail and immediately fetch water from the river before starting to do the laundry.
"It's so cool, there's never-ending water here, hahaha," I say in wonder.
"What the heck are you doing!?" a stern voice behind me interrupts, and I turn around to see Sr, who is topless and looking quite intimidating.
"I'm doing the laundry," I reply.
"Seriously?!" he says irritably.
"Why, are you going to do the laundry too? Your spot could be over there on the other side, Sr, there's plenty of space there, right?"
"Are you trying to piss me off, Maleya?!" he bursts out.
Why is Sr getting angry? I was here first in this spot just because this river is theirs, but ours is even bigger and we don't hoard it.
"There's plenty of water in the river, so don't get angry, Sr."
"Fuck, where are you from, another planet? That's called a swimming pool, not a river," he retorts angrily.
My amnesia girl
Romance Prologue;
"Hi Zan, I made this for you" I promised the man I was facing. He was with his friends and my brother.
"Tsk," he promised and took the cake I bought.
I smiled because it was the first time he took me when I was giving it.
But my smile immediately disappeared as he threw it away.
I heard a lot of laughter and whispering that I was so miserable as I was.
I want to cry but I don't want to look weak in front of them
"B-Bat m-mo discarded?" I will cry.
"Can you please stop chasing me, Cyn? How many time do I have to tell you that I can't love you back! I don't love nor like you, Cyn.I love someone else and that's crystal" my sister. .. ..
"B-why is he, Z-Zan? B-why brother k-ko?" I ask while trying to hold my tears.
"Easy because she's different from you, Cyn. She's everyone's ideal girl, she caught my attention. I love her more than my life. And you? Your an attention seeker, a slut, bitch, I can't love you back because I don't love you "promise.
Why? Why is it painful?
What am I doing? I am a beauty. Because compared to my sister I lost, she's beautiful, she has everything that I never had. You might like
ODD GUYS WITH REVENGE
Cynthia Morgan They are everywhere in society: in hospitals, offices, mosques, churches, and clubs. Known as the "ODD," they are the biggest players in town-billionaires with immense influence. They control beggars, hoodlums, and markets. Their presence is intimidating; they can kill or manipulate, and their implications are far-reaching. Highly intelligent, they get whatever they want and hold the reins of the country. They blend in with the common people, concealing their true identities so that only those of their rank recognize them. You might find them in the marketplace, appearing unkempt, as they still need to meet their daily needs. They have tasks to fulfill when necessary. The foremost rule of this group is to keep their identities secret; exposure could endanger their entire families. One of the billionaire heirs, Johnson, had his identity revealed, which is perilous and potentially suicidal. Did others come to help him, or was Johnson left to fend for himself? It seems he is an orphan.
Eternal Empire
Zhi Bai In a world full of several hundreds of empires, large and small, when it came to military force on land, the Ning Empire was said to be unequalled. With strong elite troops from all four borders and depositories sweeping across the land in all directions, they were able to stick their flag in the ground, claiming any land they desired. However, inevitably, there were some people who were dissatisfied with their lack of military prowess when it came to the coastal border regions. Hence, a young man stepped forth, brandishing his weapons and led the troops to the seas. Shen Leng: If the day comes that I have to fight hard for my people, I am more than willing. Never Give up
okoyev638 Title: Never Give up
Michael Sinclair was born into a world of opulence, the son of a billionaire family whose name was synonymous with wealth and influence. From a young age, he was groomed to inherit the family empire, attending elite schools and mingling with society's upper crust. Yet, deep within, Michael felt a yearning for something more than the gilded cage of privilege.
In his early twenties, during a lavish family gala, Michael made a decision that would change everything. After witnessing a struggling artist's heartfelt performance, he was moved to invest his savings into her dream-a gallery showcasing the works of underrepresented artists. He believed in the transformative power of art and thought his family could support this vision. However, when he shared his idea, the reaction was swift and brutal.
His father, a shrewd businessman, saw it as a foolish gamble. "You'll ruin us, Michael!" he thundered, eyes blazing. His mother and siblings echoed his sentiments, branding him naive and reckless. Feeling cornered and betrayed, Michael stood firm, insisting that art had value beyond money. In their eyes, he had chosen a path of failure.
When he went ahead with the investment, his family disowned him. Cut off from their wealth, he faced life on his own, but he was undeterred. He rented a small space for the gallery, poured his heart into the project, and slowly built a community of passionate artists. Despite the odds, the gallery began to flourish, attracting attention for its unique vision and authenticity.
Years passed, and while Michael worked tirelessly, his former family thrived in their world of business, oblivious to the seeds he had planted. Then, everything changed. One of the artists Michael had supported, a brilliant painter named Elena, created a series that captured the public's imagination. Her work became a sensation, selling for millions at auction.
As the gallery's reputation soared, so did Michael's. He began receiving offers from prestigious art institutions and collectors eager to collaborate. Ironically, news of his success reached his family. His father, now facing a financial downturn, watched in disbelief as Michael's venture became a beacon of innovation and cultural significance.
At a pivotal moment, Michael was invited to a high-profile charity gala hosted by his family. Torn between pride and the pain of betrayal, he decided to attend. There, he was approached by his father, whose expression was a mixture of awe and regret. "I didn't understand, Michael," he admitted, his voice trembling. "You've built something remarkable."
In that moment, Michael saw not just a man humbled by pride, but a chance for reconciliation. "I followed my heart," he replied, "and it led me to a truth you never saw."
The evening unfolded with unexpected warmth as Michael reconnected with his siblings, sharing stories of his journey. They had witnessed the art world's transformative power through their own eyes, and slowly, the barriers began to dissolve.
Michael's gallery continued to thrive, now attracting collaborations from prestigious artists and institutions worldwide. But more importantly, it became a space of healing for him and his family. Through art, they found common ground, rebuilding their relationship piece by piece.
Years later, standing in the gallery surrounded by vibrant works and familiar faces, Michael realized that his foolishness had not only been a catalyst for his own success but also a bridge to reconnect with his family. In choosing authenticity over wealth, he discovered a fortune far greater than money-a legacy of love and understanding forged in the crucible of betrayal.
The Inside Noise
A.O Michael The Noise Inside is like a rushing stream.
"Only God can withstand the echo of the noises that stream through men's hearts. How dare you call somebody a mad person? You do not acknowledge the fact that your heart keeps silent only when you are dead. A mad person is unkempt and talking alone outside, but you reason with your heart. The noise is made from the outside and inside. Are they not the same?" Extracts from the novel.
This novel is about how the heart of a man affects those around him and God. Some people do not like a noisy environment, depicting a special nature or sense of disturbances causing mental commotion and sometimes disorderliness. This novel shows how God endures the great noise and disturbances emanating from the human environment. It reveals various noises in the human environment, such as cars, electronics, sudden shouts, music, and others. The Inside Noise features many areas about the impact of noise, and how a man can help himself to train his heart to make an acceptable and loving noise by thinking about what is good at all times.
This novel will demonstrate the countless on each day that a heart pounders with much groaning which could be heard alone to God. Every man on the earth experiences this huge streaming in the heart. Well, no man common man sees the heart, but it will eventually become a mighty noise and a great disturbance to the people in that environment.
From the abundance in the heart of a man the mouth speaks. A good noise is determined by the positive effects it has on the entity around him, and so considered by God. The most hilarious echo is the one that pounder evil, killing, envy, murder, and fornication. It is regarded as evil, and can not please the Highest God.
Another beautiful part of this novel is how the readers can be exposed to different ways to learn alternative techniques about noise, using different objects to reflect the author's points of view about noise.
A good man lives in the world with the hope to receive the reward of his goodness in the afterlife. The king talked about in this piece, rewards for the people that live in his village with light and those who refuse to abide in obedience living by him staying in the darkness. He later pronounced judgment, which is the expectation of the righteous. The work teaches the understanding of good, bad, and purity.
