Arietta and her team didn't get to meet the anonymous sponsor until two days after thier arrival. Arietta was so shocked when the sponsor turned out to be Michelle, her ex-boss. Caroline knew back then that she wasn't going to own Islantonio so she abducted Ari's father, killed Ari's mother and killed her own very father. She faked the death of Arietta's mother to seem like an accident. An anonymous person seemed to be giving Michelle hints about Arietta's past but to put together all the pieces was the work. With the help Michelle and his intelligence, Arietta was able to take her place as sole owner of Islantonio and it's properties. And Michelle and Arietta's love ship also sailed in the end.
