My Brother's Keeper
Modern The epic "My Brother's Keeper" follows the infamous set of twins, Kingson and Branson Jackson. They each keep getting wrapped up in the other's life in various unexpected circumstances.l The thing is this: Branson is sleeping with Kingson's wife. Eventually, Kingson finds out but he is too busy defending one of Branson's street co-bosses. There are tons of side plots and the story gets involved with dozens of characters so it is a read that can go on almost eternally, especially if side series are to be done with any of the various characters.
The main character, the protagonist, is Branson, the "evil" twin, so to speak. But he is not really evil - like his brother, he just likes having sex and getting money! Unlike his brother, he likes selling drugs. Kingson is a very close second protagonist, the white knight. But even the "good" twin is not as good as we think. He, too, likes what he likes.
I have written about the Jackson twins before and you can say that this is a continuation of their tumultuous lives, as well as the lives of those around, and far from them. There are discussions about COVID, the Flat Earth movement, the stigmatization of males being raped in society, the Evolution Delusion, the clandestine nature of homosexual partners in certain strata of professional life, FBI infiltration into and other technological advancements used against organized crime, ad infinitum.
In short, the book is wonderful; it is almost nonstop, heart pounding action. I actually just finished the last part of the book. I was going to add more but 251,000+ words is quite enough. Plus, the plots were tending to grow legs of their own. If I am to do another series based off this one, I will have to write at least 500,000 words. I hope you really enjoy the book. You might like
