OUTLINE BEGINNING Melissa's beautiful Kayden with her Alpha mate dwindle to an end after she tells her stepsister and stepmother that she has a mate bond with the Alpha. Alpha Kayden keeps withdrawing his affection, until he rejects her outright, telling her that he never really wanted her. This is because he believes the lies told by her stepsister against her. Melissa is distraught and broken. Alpha Kayden was the only ray of light in her dark painful world. Now rejected and abandoned, with a six month pregnant belly, she attempts suicide, but even the right to take her own life is taken away from her, as Melissa still has more sorrow lying ahead. Evelyn her stepsister sets her up for the murder of Davis, the Alpha's brother, while successfully installing herself as future Luna in Melissa's stead. Alpha Kayden has Melissa whipped without mercy, the shock and pain Melissa faces causes her to give birth prematurely to twins.Kayden takes Melissa's two children away from her, brands her forehead with the words 'MURDERER', and banishes her. When Melissa attempts to rescue her children from the Alpha's house, Evelyn lies to her that her children are dead. Utterly broken, the death of her children are the final straw. Melissa flees the Bloodmoon pack owing to return and have her revenge. Five years later, Melissa is a celebrated healer in several packs, a welcomed member of the Thamewood pack, and the future Alpha of Thamewood pack is in love with her, and wants her to be his Luna, then she gets a message that the Bloodmoon pack has been affected by a virus, and her help is needed as a healer. She also learns that 'the Alpha's twins are sick and in serious need of her help.' RISING ACTION Melissa accepts to go to the Bloodmoon pack, but her plan is to find out whether the twins are her children that she was told died five years ago. She is also given a week to decide if she will be Kelvin's future Luna. Melissa gets to Bloodmoon pack and finds out that her stepmother and stepsister that tormented her life are dead, they died of the virus. She feels mixed reaction to this because she wanted to be the one to end their lives, they did not deserve an easy death after all they had done. Alpha Kayden is hurt beyond measure because of the devastating effect of the virus on his pack. He is shocked to find Melissa is the healer he has heard do much about. He still hates her, but he valued her services, he wants her to heal the twins he has grown so desperately to love. Alpha Kayden also gave his word to Alpha Mateo of Thamewood that the healer (Melissa) will remain protected while at his pack. Melissa reunited with her twins, but she is filled with bitterness and anger when she finds how much Evelyn (her stepsister) and Alpha Kayden lied to her twins, spoiling her image before them. This causes her twins to shy away from her, hatefully calling her a wicked murderer. Trying to win back the love of her twins proves tough because she must show her vulnerable, gentle side if they are going to trust her. This hurts her the most because she is trying to be tough, in order not to cave in to the haunting memories of how badly she was treated in the past. Kelvin demands an answer for her, on whether she would be his future Luna as his coronation is long since past, and Thamewood members are asking the new Alpha to unveil his Luna. At the same time, Alpha Kayden offers her a huge amount of money to be his contract Luna for a few years, until the twins are more stable. He still hates her, but he asks her to do it for the twins. CLIMAX Melissa rejects Kelvin's offer to be his Luna, because there are a lot of things from her past she needs to handle first. She accepts Kayden's offer on the grounds that he would install her fully as Luna, and she would have a say in the council. Unknown to Kayden, Melissa has begun to plot his downfall. Melissa works stealthily, she does not let Kayden know she is responsible for a series of misfortunes that begin to hit him. Melissa starts a network of spies from people who are loyal to her from Thamewood pack. They sabotage each one of Alpha Kaydens plans, and each time it happens, Melissa is always there to console Kayden, telling him that he is still her babies father, and she cares for him. With time, Kayden thinks that Melissa has changed from the cruel woman she used to be. He begins to confide in her more, not knowing that he is only digging his grave. Melissa, on the other hand is touched by his thoughtful nature when he does certain things for her, telling her she is still the mother of his children. These thoughtful things does not stop Melissa from continuing to sabotage him. With time, Melissa turns the twins, and half of the council members against Alpha Kayden. Before Alpha Kayden realizes that Melissa has always been the enemy within, it is already too late.
