The Journey of a Novice
Adventure The town of Willowbrook had always been a place of quiet charm-a world untouched by the rush of modernity. Nestled between rolling hills and dense, whispering forests, it was a town where time moved gently, and life followed the rhythm of the seasons.
Emily had known Willowbrook all her life. She had grown up wandering its cobbled streets, listening to the hum of the marketplace, and watching the same sun dip behind the hills each evening. The scent of fresh-baked bread from the bakery, the distant laughter of children playing near the old oak tree, the familiar sight of Mrs. Alden sweeping her front porch at precisely seven every morning-these were the things she had known since childhood.
And yet, despite the warmth of familiarity, something deep inside her yearned for more.
Emily had always felt like an outsider in her own home-a dreamer among those content with ordinary lives. The world outside Willowbrook called to her in ways she couldn't explain. It was a whisper in the wind, a tug at her heart, a force she could no longer ignore.
And so, she had made her decision.
This was the morning she would leave. You might like
THE DON'S SECRET OBSESSION ( His Bride, Her Prison)
tianahtianah I never wanted any part in this. But I have no choice. With a deep sigh, I force down an invisible lump in my throat, looking up at the priest.
I press my fingers tighter into the flower I am holding, hoping it hides how much I am shaking. Dreading the words the priest is about to utter.
"Do you, Ariella Cecilia Boone, take Dermos Salvatore to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The priest asks.
I blink.
I badly want to say it, badly want to scream that I am not Ariella Cecilia Boone.
My lips tremble as I force the truth down my throat, "Yes, I do." I murmur, my voice a little over a whisper.

Wake Up, Dream Boy!
Mr. Ben Having some of the poems in the first edition of the poem collection, ‘The P.O.T (Poured Out Thoughts)’ published in several poetry magazines as High On Poems, Earthborne Magazine, Deadsnakes and so on, the author has ushered in the second, titled ‘The P.O.T (Poured Out Thoughts) ---The Reloaded.
It is said to be ‘reloaded’ because there are other poems to be added to make this edition slightly richer than the first. With poems as ‘Out of the Box’, ‘Dad Loves Me’, ‘Heralding God’s Magnificence’ being published in notable poetry journals and magazines, the sequel is hoped to make an impact to the entire world, beginning with the readers.
The Table of Contents has the additional poems that readers, who have read the first edition, would realize. They are intended to look into general issues, family, gender, parental, religious (Christian faith), children, love and personal/motivational.
The aim behind this piece is simple. As said in the first edition, it is about entertaining, enlightening, inspiring or motivating and enabling people think for themselves.
Worthy of Note: The author believes that subsequent edition(s) of the work would carry the above-stated aim.
