Ivy shows him the necklace and asks him to accept it as a gift since she has no use for it anymore, Lance is awestruck that the person he's been searching for was right under his nose.
He finally finds a way to convince her to come with him to the underworld after many failed attempts.
Gehal smells a rat after seeing Lance and Ivy on the cemetery ground twice, she sneaks up on them and when Lance creates a portal for them to enter he forgets to close it, Gehal sees it and quickly jumps into it.
She is found by Mysus and Daia who repossess her and use her to get to her sister.
Ivy is brought before lethana who gives her a cold welcome rather than the opposite, lethana accuses her of being incompetent, so she must journey back to her past life before she is killed again and come back to battle her mother, the strongest of the pack for the throne to prove her competency.
Ivy Stroman an eighteen-year-old introvert moves into her Aunt's house with her twin sister Gehal, after their parents were victims of a fire accident. She tries focusing on her drawing and artworks during the summer to get her mind off the trauma but another one hits her hard in the face. Her sister insists Aunt Veke takes Ivy to a hospital to run a test on her after discovering that she's missed her blood flow for three months.
The test results show that she has been infected by a deadly virus that has eaten deep into her womb and she wouldn't be able to produce children of her own.
The news is devastating to the trio as nothing can be done regarding her condition, She spends the rest of the summer in her room sulking as she withdraws from the rest of the world.
While Gehal is excited about their eighteenth birthday as she would finally get her freedom as an adult, Ivy seems rather unperturbed by it as she just wishes for the day to come by and go quickly.
Ivy is uninterested in the activities going on at the party, all she wants to do at the moment is to get away from everybody and the loud noise.
She sneaks out of the house through the back door and heads for the forest.
Lance is finally set on finding the next female who will rule their kingdom after Lethana, the task he must carry out to prove his allegiance to the pack, the mystic males guarding the cauldron insist he fortifies himself and takes a guide in form of a necklace to lead him on.
He agrees after much persuasion, his blood is taken out from him and replaced with pure human blood for him not to cause chaos in the human world.
A portal is opened as he crosses from the underworld to the human world. He awakens to find himself in a strange environment full of skulls and dried blood hangs in the air. He realizes there has been a glitch as this is not the human world but that of the vampires.
He is encountered by blood-sucking vampires, he tries to shapeshift into his werewolf form but remembers he has human blood now. He manages to fight them off and escapes by a thin chance as he opens another portal.
Ivy is sitting on a log as she nibbles absent-mindedly on the fallen leaves. She notices something glow under the leaves as she is unaware of the peering eyes watching her. She spreads the leaves apart and finds a necklace shaped like a moon underneath. Ivy feels a cold chill as she puts on the necklace and heads back home.
Lance's body has been seriously bruised by the vampires, he tries to heal and yet again remembers he's a mere mortal without powers, he reaches for the necklace and realizes it's gone.
He is in turmoil because the necklace is the only communication with the underworld and his way back home.
Back In the underworld, the pack finds an intruder amongst them, the guards tie her up and threaten to torture and kill her if she doesn't tell them why she was sent and what her leader's next move is.
She refuses to spill because the vampires abide under an oath of secrecy, a guard angrily hits her and she dies.
The queen of the vampires sensing that one of her own has been killed by their arch enemy plans revenge and invades their kingdom.
They take out the guards at the entrance, making their way in. A guard sends a warning message that the Kingdom is under attack, Daia together with the army take their form and put up a war against the vampires. You might like
