Vashti was a little dizzy, as she wasn't used to drinking much. She went to the restroom, but it was occupied.
"What the hell!" she muttered under her breath and waited. After a few minutes, she decided she would have to knock. "Hello? Are you going to take long?"
There was no answer, not in words, but Vashti could have sworn she heard a moan. She put her ear close to the door and again, only this time it was a male!
"What the hell... Please! Guys, I'm in a tight spot!"
Vashti was no idiot and knew very well that some couples decided to relieve other needs in the nightclub restrooms, so that must be the case.
'How inconsiderate!' Vashti thought.
The sound of clothes, zippers, and finally the door opened. A tall, beautiful blonde with smeared lipstick came out, running her fingers over the corner of her mouth. Vashti knew what the woman was doing.
"Party pooper!" the woman said and walked past Vashti, bumping her on the shoulder.
'Spare me!' Vashti thought, grimacing.
"Oh, right," she ended up saying and turned to the restroom, when she came face to face with those green eyes that she recognized right away.
'But... How come?!'
He was looking at her piercingly, his hands in his pants pockets and a sideways smile.
"You don't give up, do you?" the man asked, looking her up and down with a cheeky smile on his side, but his eyes held disdain.
This brought Vashti, who had been staring at him with her mouth slightly open, back to reality. She frowned, looking at him in disbelief.
"I don't get what you're trying to insinuate, here," she returned the disdainful look to him.
He scoffed, looking around quickly before his eyes landed on her again.
"I hate women who act coy. If you want to fuck so badly, just say so. You don't have to play games, and much less chase me around,"
Vashti opened her mouth, this time not believing what she was hearing.
"What the hell?!" she shouted. "Are you crazy? You must be. Because it's your fault I got fired! And I don't even know why. Was it because I bumped into you?"
She shook her head, and the man raised his eyebrows. Vashti continued.
"And now, not satisfied, you're accusing me of stalking YOU?" she let out a mocking laugh and looked him up and down. "For your information, I came with my friend, who knows people who work there! This is the nightclub we usually visit. And I only came here because I needed to clear my head after a certain arrogant and conceited jerk fired me for no reason! So it could be said that YOU're the one stalking me!"
She knew she shouldn't talk about her boss like that.
'No, no, EX-BOSS,' she reminded herself. Yes, ex. That meant she didn't have to hold her tongue at all. The man had been a complete idiot and had even made a fuss about Vashti, making her lose the job. She could bet it had been him! 'As if my family wasn't bad enough, now that evil's messenger shows up!'
The man took a deep breath before moving quickly. He grabbed Vashti's arm and pulled her into the restroom and closed the door. She felt her back hit the wooden surface and before she could react, warm, soft lips took hers.
"Oh!" she said reflexively. The man pinned her hands above her head with just one of his, which was huge, while the other held tightly to Vashti's waist.
She opened her lips in surprise, and he took the opportunity to kiss her more deeply, drawing moans from the woman who had spent the day tormenting his mind. The man's knee came between Vashti's legs, spreading them and giving him more access to her body. Vashti wasn't one to kiss strangers, but she was feeling so good...
"Hey! Vashti?" a knock on the door made Vashti jump. The man did not let go of her immediately, but rather gradually, letting her hands fall. He took one of them and placed it on his chest. With his free hand, the man touched Vashti's face.
"I-I'm coming!" Vashti stammered. Her lips were slightly swollen, and her breathing was ragged. "Give me a minute! I'll be right out!"
"Ok..." and the sound of Fernanda's heels moving away was heard. Vasti looked at the man. His hair was impeccable, his face close to hers and his lips half open. He smiled.
"You better go home, or you'll end up being late tomorrow," he said in a hoarse voice.
"Late?" Vashti asked, fearing that her brain hadn't yet started working properly again.
'Of course. You're my substitute secretary," he said and gave her a quick kiss on the neck, making Vashti sigh. "I don't like lateness."
Then it dawned on her: the man who had ruined her day was not a gossiper, he was her own boss! Vashti pushed him away with both hands and glared at him.
"What are you talking about? I was fired! By you!"
He took a step back and, holding her waist, he moved her to the side so he could open the door.
'Well, you're reinstated. Remember: no delays," the handsome man winked and walked out the door, leaving Vashti still bewildered.
Her legs felt like they were made of jelly, but she managed to get out of the bathroom and go to the table where Fernanda and Will were.
"Damn! What happened?" Fernanda asked, until she noticed her friend's condition. The lights in the place ended up disguising it, but as soon as Vasti got a little closer, she saw it. Her lips were swollen and red, without lipstick, her hair was messy, and her clothes were disheveled.
Will noticed too and held back his laughter.
"You naughty girl!" Fernanda said, patting Vashti on the arm, who didn't respond. She looked a little scared. Fernanda's smile died. "Wait a minute... Did someone force you to do something?"
Fernanda stood up quickly, like a lioness ready to protect her cub, and looked around.
"Oh, no. I... I have to go,"
"What? Why?" Fernanda wasn't used to Vashti acting strangely like that. "Babe, tell me the truth, did someone corner you, try something?"
The Latina with silky waist-length hair looked at Vashti worriedly.
"I can't be late tomorrow."
Fernanda looked at Will.
"What are you talking about?"
"Apparently, I got my job back," this answer made Fernanda raise her eyebrows.
"Okay... I'm happy for you. I think..." Fernanda watched Vashti take a bill from her purse, put it on the table and leaned towards her to give her a kiss on the cheek. She waved to Will and left.
"Your friend is crazy," Fernanda's boyfriend said, laughing.
"I'll find out what happened," Fernanda said. "Tomorrow. Now, you and I are going to have some fun."
Vashti left the club and only then realized that she had not even used the restroom.
'Excellent! I hope the taxi doesn't take long...' she said to herself.
"A woman like you, at this hour and alone... It's a bit dangerous, isn't it?" the man's deep voice took her by surprise, but she slowly turned to face him.
